Do any suppliers NOT contact GP for Mounjaro

Please don't give me any hate. My GP and I do not see eye to eye after they failed me massively and I have a complaint in against them. I am really obese and need help but I don't want any letters going to my GP about starting weight loss injections.

Lots of suppliers make contacting the GP mandatory. Do any not tell them or let you do it yourself? If I can do it myself I will when my complaint is addressed but right now I think my GP would just make life even more difficult. Thank you for any info.

Is it possible to change GP if you're having problems with them?

I understand you have a problem with them but why do you care they'll know about Mounjaro? I can imagine a doctor would notify the prescriber if for instance the patient was anorexic, but if you are very overweight why wouldn't the doctor just think you're trying to do something to lose weight?

If it's any help, when I went to my GP about something else, she had no idea I was on Mounjaro - I assume it had been put onto the system by the receptionist and not noticed by the doctor.

They will all send letters , my suppliers asked if wanted to notify them and provided letter to download but looking at my notes on nhs app they had traced and sent a letter - nothing has ever been mentioned by GP

Does this include the ones who say they won't?

I am not going to take the injections, solely due to a very poor relationship with my GP. I am stuck with that practice due to geographical boundaries. Even if I was guaranteed they wouldn't inform my GP I believe the risk of them finding out is always there.

Receptionists and other staff will open the mail, pass to the correct person and then they scan it into records so they will see. The GP's don't see every piece of paper that is received in the surgery only the correspondence that needs actioning and sometimes it's not them that needs to do it either.

I would be interested to know which supplier this was, please? I've used a few with no letters on my App (yet) and would like to avoid reordering from this one.

It is highly negligent if the prescriber does not inform your GP. It is such poor practice.

Theres plenty of complaints about 1 receptionist and nothing gets done about her

As mentioned above, Voy don't send anything to GP. You have to opt in and provide GP's details if you want them notified. I've left it totally blank.

VOY won’t contact your GP without your permission. I’ve been with them for 2 months, lost 3 stone in total. They have loads of support. I’m just adding my 45% discount link to the thread x

They just send a generic one uploaded to NHS app. Switched providers and they didn't contact them

I am 4 stone overweight and she told me to stop eating meat, & have 800 calories a day and fast. Then said well you put the weight on and you need to lose it like a normal person. You can change providers to keep using new codes- I haven’t done this as been happy with the service with Voy. They do health coaching and also analyse your meals.

I have the same GP issue..well i havent got one anymore due to lots of reasons..wrong diagnosis, wrong blood results, wrong medication, and vile receptionists.
I have done my first order with Voy …but they are much more expensive.
Their 5mg pen is £199 compared to others that are £50 less .
So looking to swap suppliers , next time.
They dont price match either i ask today

I use Chequp for my MJ and they have been fine so far cheap initial pen and they have the option to inform gp or not i chose not to and they never even asked for there details . Quick delivery too. Also if you refer a friend they give you £25 off your next pen and the person who’s starting receives £25 off to. I have referred 2 family memebers this month so £50 off this months pen.
