Found you and you’re on page 30 already 🤣.
I’ll try to catch up. Hope all you lovely peeps are okay.
I’m home after 10 days away with DD. My mum has been poorly so we spent a lot of time visiting her in hospital. I wasn’t aware of over eating but am pretty unhappy to see this morning I’m up a kg. Could it be muscle? I’m hopeful but doubtful. I went to a morning boot camp every day.
Being short and high waisted my stomach sits awkwardly and plane seatbelts and train trays are stressful. But yesterday the Eurostar tray was down with a few cm to spare. Major NSV!
And I now have 4 7.5 pens 🤣. None of them
looked like they would arrive in time for Friday jab day so I ordered elsewhere. And all, note that delivery for VOY, Medexpress and Numon is markedly slower. I was doing 4mg but upped to 5 on Friday. And depending on how I do in the next couple of weeks I might up to 6.

Sorry about mum @FlappingMadly 💐

You have 4 pens of 7.5

Are you rich lol

NippyCrab · 02/11/2024 15:49

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2024 10:00

@NippyCrab that's not what I eat. That's copied off another thread on what I eat on mj

I meant it's not a lot and can't be healthy

Aw I'm so sorry @Blondeshavemorefun I've totally read that wrong 😔 🙄

NippyCrab · 02/11/2024 15:51

@FlappingMadly sorry about your Mum how is she now. X

OvaHere · 02/11/2024 16:48

Hi everyone, I'm interloping from the Sep starters thread. Curious to hear some experiences of moving to 7.5.

I've already got my next pen and due to start next week but my last week of 5mg has been a bit rough re side effects which I've not really had until this week (fortunate I know). I've been off work all week so it's been okayish to manage but I'm back at work next week and am a bit apprehensive about going up a pen.

I've been injecting in my stomach so far but thinking about doing thigh next week as some people seem to think this lessens the impact. Have any of you found this to be the case?

FlappingMadly · 02/11/2024 17:08

Thanks @NippyCrab , @Blondeshavemorefun and @owlyboo .
She’s doing better and will be home on Monday but will need carers for a while.

@Blondeshavemorefun 🤣not now! 😬

@weaseleyes yes, I felt like that often. Apologetic to be eating.

I don’t feel particularly nauseous but OMG the peeing! 💦💦💦. I’ve had a couple very near misses. What is that all about? I haven’t changed my hydration.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2024 17:50

@AdeloreSmore no need to be sorry. I am intrigued what people eat and lose weight so you're is interesting

What you put up is healthy.

The 'meals' I put up wasn't to shame the poster it I can't see how they is Healthy or maybe that's how they lose 2/3lbs each week

No probs @NippyCrab

@FlappingMadly 😂 one a month is bad enough but buying 4

Well guess that's you covered for a few months

@OvaHere welcome. I'm a rare breed - they broke the mould with me ha ha - but 7.5 didn't do much. I'm on 10. Feel a little of bit suppression some times

NippyCrab · 02/11/2024 18:52

@OvaHere i always do my thighs, ive tried stomach once and my side effects were more in the way of nausea and I hadn't had that before.

@FlappingMadly omg me too re the piddling problem of near misses, i was so paranoid after waking up one night and nearly peeing myself that I went and bought Tena pants! That was last Monday and I've been fine since. I had my weekly check in call with my GP and mentioned it and she didn't seem perturbed, just to make an appointment if it occurs again and follows through. It was so weird I've never had that before.

Ps, I've just watched the Martha Stewart documentary and I couldn't stop thinking how beautiful her face is, even aged she's lovely.

supadupapupascupa · 02/11/2024 18:59

I woke up the night before last with acid flying up and out of my mouth. I woke up puking!!!! Omg not nice!!!! I have reflux terrible after the jab!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2024 19:56

I still wee every 2hrs at night

But daytime I can not wee for hours

Drives me nuts !!

Also may be why I'm so tired

Def more tired on 10

OvaHere · 02/11/2024 20:26

@NippyCrab Thank you. It's nausea and stomach cramps that have been the main issue this week. First time that has happened. Definitely going to try the thigh next week as I move to the higher dose.

Hello Interloper 👋 I've only ever jabbed my belly and had no side effects on 7.5, definitely had no regrets of moving up

SilverSprings510 · 02/11/2024 22:47

A few threads back I said I’d managed to get a pair of jeans on that were previously tight. These are those jeans now - soon I won’t be able to wear them at all! Still a way to go but a good NSV.

@supadupapupascupa that sounds horrid, I had bad refulx in the first couple of weeks but omeprazole has sorted it out.

20bloodypounds · 02/11/2024 23:39

@SilverSprings510 fantastic!

owlyboo · 02/11/2024 23:50

@SilverSprings510 fabulous! Well done you!

I'm back from my night out as a cat! Felt so confident for the first time in... well I can't really remember.

For the first time in a very long time I didn't feel (probably shouldn't say it out loud but...) fat.

CrazyGoatLady · 03/11/2024 00:33

@owlyboo glad you had a great night and felt confident.

@SilverSprings510 fantastic NSV!

Just checking in after getting home late as been to visit friends today. We had takeaway last night and been for lunch and had some really lovely food, but I feel really pleased I stopped as soon as I felt the first sign of full both times. Eating out and takeaways used to be such an overeating trigger, I would feel bad if I left any, because they're expensive "treats". I'm trying to remember though that excess food that makes me feel stuffed, sleepy, sick and uncomfortable is just as wasted in my body as food left on my plate. Got a doggy bag and took half my pudding home and DS2 was more than happy to polish it off when he got in from climbing club.

ChunkyMunky · 03/11/2024 01:16

Amazing @SilverSprings510 well done. Glad you had a good night too @owlyboo.

I’ve been shattered all week but now that I should be asleep I’ve got a dose of midnight insomnia. Typical!

Due to start pen 3 tomorrow (…today? what time is it?!) I’ve been on 3.75mg for the last couple of weeks but think I might drop to 2.5mg for a dose. Thinking about it I’ve not managed to eat much this week, it’s just not occurring to me to eat. I’m full of cold and have had a few really nauseous days too so think dropping back down for a week is probably sensible. I’m clearly a MJ weakling.

Going to weigh in the morning too, so I can work out my total loss for pen 2. Not really sure what to expect on the scales. I last weighed on 21st October, while I was on my period and felt quite bloated. I was really hopeful the following week that I’d have a good whoosh, and was feeling quite slender, but the last few days I’ve totally changed my mind. I feel big again. Clothes don’t seem loose like they did, and I’m less sure that I’ll see a loss. Ahh well, time will tell.

owlyboo · 03/11/2024 01:21

@ChunkyMunky thanks. It's late!! I can't sleep, still buzzing from being out so watching a movie!!

I hope you have a good loss. I think it's good to weigh so you know where you are. I feel bloating/slimmer throughout the day depending on how much I've ate/ drank so I wouldn't worry too much!!

Whoyoutakingto · 03/11/2024 08:25

Good morning everyone, hope you’re all having a good weekend. Just wanted to compare notes, since starting MJ beginning of August, I have knocked sugar on the head, even to the point that I can’t drink Diet Coke etc it tastes too sweet. I needed an instant snack this morning as I felt a bit off grabbed a small banana and now they taste too sweet, has anyone else noticed this? I am just thinking is this going to happen with all fruit😭

ChunkyMunky · 03/11/2024 08:36

Thanks @owlyboo

Happy news on the scales this morning…

Starting Weight: 17st 7lbs

Weight at end of first pen (5 weeks):
15st 13.6lbs

Weight at end of second pen (7 weeks): 14st 5.2lbs

Total weight loss: 3st 1.5lbs
18% of body weight lost, and 42% of the way to my goal weight.

BMI has dropped from 39.8 to 34.5

Although I feel much much better, healthier, and can move around more easily, I’m still in all the same size 20 clothes as before, so still plenty of work to do. Fully expecting the losses to slow down, but hoping to get to a total loss of 4st by Christmas.

Wishing everyone a beautiful Sunday 😊

ChunkyMunky · 03/11/2024 08:38

@Whoyoutakingto yes definitely! I usually had a can of Diet Coke a day pre-MJ, and now hardly touch it. I’ve always had a very sweet tooth but have found lots of things unpleasantly sweet, which is great for curbing bad habits, but also a bit challenging when the strong nausea hits on even the blandest and plainest things.

lookathatbookcase · 03/11/2024 09:24

Well done @ChunkyMunky ! A super loss.

@Whoyoutakingto I had terrible sugar cravings and binges before MJ which have mostly died down. I still have a bowl of leftover Halloween sweets downstairs which I do idly think 'Oh, one would be nice' , which is radically different from not being able to rest until I'd eaten everything.

Strange week here - feeling v rough / tired / nauseous, also like I'm on medication (I mean, I know we're all on medication but sometimes the feeling of it is very present). Not sure if MJ, change in clocks, illness etc etc. A week when I can't wait to be near to GW and thinking about life after this. Still - onwards.

Whoyoutakingto · 03/11/2024 09:42

Thanks for sharing re sugar @ChunkyMunky @lookathatbookcase . Yep I feel nauseous after the banana.
@ChunkyMunky you are doing amazing! I notice that I too can move better and once bend down I can feel confident that I am not going to be unable to get back up again 😂

That's incredible! Well done!

My NSV for the weekend is going out in a new pair of size 14 jeans!

When I bought them I could fasten them just but it hurt and I couldn't breath. Normally I would have returned them but as I was on MJ I thought I'd give it a couple of weeks. I tried them again a week ago and could fasten them but they were still a bit tight. Yesterday they were spot on!

I'm going to spend some time trying stuff on for my holiday next. I'm hoping one or two things that were too tight might fit 🤞

Of course what will probably happen is that those things will still be too small but my stuff from pre MJ will be too big and I will have to either panic shop or dust of the sewing machine and take stuff in.
