Also @lmmj15 - yes, I aim for 3 meals a day, even if small. I find I get a weird combo of not hungry but a bit wobbly if I don't eat enough so want to keep that in hand; also want to have as near to possible a 'normal' eating routine as it's been when I divert from that that things go off the rails. If you dig through the 'What i ate today on MJ' thread, you'll see what I eat, I track there every day.

NippyCrab · 31/10/2024 17:19

These are the almonds 😊

Can I ask what supplements everyone is taking please?

I’m vegetarian so tend to be low on vitamin b, d and iron. I’ve just had a blood test to see how I’m doing now. I sometimes feel quite tired and dehydrated which is probably linked to MJ this time around though.

I have the vitamin B oral drops and vitamin d spray. I also have some magnesium, flaxseed oil and iron tablets. Is there anything else that may be useful?

AdeloreSmore · 31/10/2024 18:35

I dont take anything different to those I've used since being menopausal(old) Multi vit, Sea kelp, vit d and sage. However not veggie so guess no use to you at all!

AdeloreSmore · 31/10/2024 18:43

I do mainly 3 meals - sometimes 1st day or so after jab just 2. Breakfast, fruit, seeds and greek yog. Lunch is usually slices of turkey and some edam. Sometimes some mini rice crackers. Dinner usually some grains and protein with lots of salad leaves and beetroot. I never feel particularly hungry for meals, but make sure i eat as I dont want to invite any side effects in and to def dont want to feel manky!

NippyCrab · 31/10/2024 19:49

Oooooooo that looks super nice @AdeloreSmore I'm chapping your door right now haha 😄

@eeeeeeeee i take the same as you, B12, D plus K spray, magnesium with zinc and I take an omega 3 6 and 9 capsules. Have you heard of the lions mane mushroom powders? I've not looked into them but it's meant to be really good for fatigue and brain sharpness. I was going to add an evening oil of primrose and vitamin e. I'll see how I get on taking these properly, I've done a subscription so I don't run out.
X

eeeeeeeee · 31/10/2024 21:00

@AdeloreSmore thank you, that’s really helpful. I’ll check those out! X

@NippyCrab thanks for these! I haven’t heard of the mushroom power, I’m intrigued! That sounds a good plan, I think I might also look into collagen supplements x

Just been sick again

It's official

I can't handle Grapes

Weird or what

I've not eaten for the past 7/10 days since really sick week ago Friday and the Fri before that

I didn't really think it was grapes

But

ate some around 7/8

And whoosh. They have just returned and my dinner

Feeling very sorry for myself

What other foods can't people handle

Maybe it's the skins?

I'm increasingly finding I can't handle chickpeas, kidney beans, lentils - you know the good, veggie types of protein?! I was sick on Monday night which I thought was just having jabbed on the Sunday night and feeling icky after, was fine Tuesday but sick again last night (Wed). Wednesday night I'd eaten homemade veggie and lentil soup for dinner, the same as I'd had Monday evening, and the sulfur burps and sicky feeling started very soon after.

I'm also fretting a bit about fibre, apparently we're meant to have 30g a day but if beans and pulses are out for me, I find I'm struggling to get anywhere near that PLUS enough protein and still stay in my fibre allowance. I take the fibre gummies but I know they're not ideal and I'd be better getting it from whole foods.

ChunkyMunky · 31/10/2024 22:18

@AuntieDote I’ve been having a handful of bran flakes each morning. Not sure how many g of fibre it is, as I’m not tracking, but seems to help prevent constipation.

Feeling nauseous again this evening, after having been ok for most of the day. Zero appetite though, so wondering if I got a bit more than the 3.75mg that I was after on that last dose (hard twist - couldn’t count clicks).

Starting to wish that Facebook had a magic button where you could turn off all posts about food when you’re feeling queasy.

Addictedtobeauty · 31/10/2024 22:25

thank you for all the fabulous photos of natural scenery - I absolutely love seeing them, I live in a suburb and my family are nowhere near as calming.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/10/2024 22:31

Lovely pics all

No supplements - maybe I should ?

Interesting pulses are something you can't manage

Ithinkimrincewind · 01/11/2024 06:08

@WorriedRelative if you find the clear whey drinks too sweet I just double the water. Something like a nutribullet mixer is great for making them, without too much washing up 😂

NippyCrab · 01/11/2024 06:55

Morning from rainy, dreich Scotland ☔️

@AuntieDote it's definitely wasn't getting enough fibre, I was focusing on protein. I've started on the chia seeds in my breakfast and I'm having prunes, I've never had prunes and I am loving them. I've not tracked my intake but I think i will using nutracheck now.

@Blondeshavemorefun only take a supplement if you need it, I'm in perimenopause and on HRT, so I take supplements my GP recommended. I'm not deficient but low on some but not on the scale of the GP to medically intervene. Satisfactory and a bit on the low side apparently, sorted with adjusting diet and supplements. I now take the Vit D spray, it's recommended for our country and it's shit weather with lack of sunlight 😂

I've weighed in and lost a pound, last Friday I was 12st 9lbs, my 4th week of staying the same. On Sat I weighed again and had lost a pound so this week I'm 12st 7lbs. It's moving down, I want under that 7 number. My next small goal is 12st, then 11st 7lbs and down again a half stone. I need to start tracking my calories now with the protein fibre and fat intake. I'm not worried about the fat when it's good fats though, I don't want to focus on calories and deprive myself that's why I haven't tracked before.
It's all so complicated to me 🙄

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2024 08:25

Well done @NippyCrab on lb loss or possibly 2 if don't count last sat as wasn't your official weigh in day

You finally got your whoosh and off plateau. Was a long 4w for you

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2024 08:28

Lb off for me

Did expect a bit more tbh

I still think for me on a high dose a lb a week is slow

Over all in the year that's 4stone almost but still slow compared to others who have 3/5lbs loss weekly

I def had some kind of fullness think mon /tue but def more hungry later end of week so I do feel it doesn't stay in my body that long

WorriedRelative · 01/11/2024 08:28

Thanks, I will try that with lunch today.

Boiled egg and clear whey it is!

eeeeeeeee · 01/11/2024 09:59

I just noticed that my feet, hands and neck are a bit slimmer. It’s random as I didn’t even realise I gained weight there!

But my arms and legs haven’t changed much! My arms are particularly annoying cause I don’t like how they look in dresses, anything sleeveless or tight tops like long sleeved gym tops. Glad it’s jumper season!

Wow that’s really good to lose 4 stone in a year! You must be really proud!! That’s probably why you feel your weight loss is a bit slow, you’ve lost loads already

MargoLivebetter · 01/11/2024 10:19

Wow @Blondeshavemorefun that is impressive loss! Are feeling pleased with yourself - you should be!

@AuntieDote you could consider Huel protein drink. It is made from pea protein, so you get fibre and protein all rolled into one. Try and bottle from the supermarket and see if you like it. I'm not wild about it, but it ticks two good boxes for me, so I persist 😂.

owlyboo · 01/11/2024 10:22

Sorry I've been mia this week! Half term with a neurodivergent kid = busy old time! Well done on all the losses etc!

Weigh day for me tomorrow... I'm hoping for a small loss (nothing major after my last two quite large losses...) but a small loss would be great as I've been so good to stick to steps/diet over half term so would be a nice little reward!

Night out tomorrow! I forgot I got my dress! I'll put a pic on later... and it's 2 sizes smaller than usual, and if I'm honest even more than that really as it's pretty fitted and I've been living in tents!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2024 10:23

@eeeeeeeee I haven't lost 4st

Was saying a lb a week is 4st - we'll just under 52lbs v 56

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/11/2024 10:24

Wish I had lol

1 st 10 lbs on mn

Plus the 1.1 before on sw

So 2st 11 lbs in total since Feb

Arraminta · 01/11/2024 10:29

These threads move like lightning!

Morning All. Haven't been around much recently but sad to report that, despite eating very carefully and cleanly, I haven't lost on over 2 weeks. Infact I've gained a pound! I think my decision to do a 2nd month on 5mg wasn't the best one. I've still had decent suppression but feel like 5mg has done all it can for now.
I'm due to reorder so will go up to 7.5mg. Anyone else found that increasing to 7.5mg kick started weight loss again?

NippyCrab · 01/11/2024 10:39

@Blondeshavemorefun thank you, it's hard not to get despondent as you say when on a high dose, have you measured? I've subscribed to Nutracheck today to start tracking my intake of everything now. I hate doing it but it will make me more mindful of amounts now,

@owlyboo hope your HT hasn't been too frazzled, looking forward to seeing your dress.

I'm going to Jab shortly so my side effects, if much, are away before DH comes home for his weeks holiday.

The weather is shite but I'm going out to walk anyway, means there's no other walkers haha. I don't mind the smirry rain of I'm waterproofed up.
