First thread is full and I couldn’t see a new one to continue it so thought I’d make it so we can all carry on chatting.

If I want to move to a new prescriber (nobody has used my MedExpress code. Sad times.) will I be able to get 5mg from them or will they say no because it's my first order from them?

Or do I need to show proof of my previous prescription? What would that look like? A screenshot from the MedExpress website?

Anyone have a link to suitable insulin needles from Amazon for the bonus dose?

Well Done to all the ‘losers’. 👊Beginning of week 3 for me, 2lbs down and I’m very happy with that, no real side effects, low grade headaches (even though I’m drinking between 2 - 3 litres of water) and manageable constipation.

I’m grateful for the fact we are all on this journey together.

@RunSlowTalkFast I know it’s easy for me to say, but the 2.5 dose is just getting you ready to move up to the 5 mg dose where you should start seeing results as you start working your way up through the dosing schedule. Plus losing 2 stone without MJ is bloody amazing!

W1D3 only side effects was total insomnia on night 2. Good suppression so far, struggling to eat very much at all.

I had already lost 3 stones by myself (I have more than 10 stone to lose), but was starting to really struggle by myself, so I am hoping this kick starts the losses off again.

I changed supplier. From.asda to zava, when you fill in the questions it asks you if you are on any medication for weight loss, just tick yes and it will ask what strength, then it will give you the option to get 5 or 2.5 .
I also had to send pics again for the new supplier.

W1 D7 - which means its injection day and also my first weigh day! I’ve lost 5lbs in the first week!

SW: 15st 13.1lbs
CW: 15st 8lbs
GW: 13st
(this isn’t my overall goal weight, that’s probably more like 11st, as 13st still puts me in the obese category, but it’s my pre-baby weight and the weight I was when I got married and I love how I look in those photos, so my initial goal is to get back there).

I did not expect to lose this much, if any, as I have barely noticed the effects and definitely haven’t had full food suppression and it’s been mainly subtle changes with my appetite and thinking towards food more than anything - and since Sunday I’ve noticed it wearing off to the point yesterday and today I have no effects whatsoever. However, I’m using those days where it’s wearing off to really try and make better choices and keep up the good habits and healthy eating I’m doing the rest of the week. I can’t stay on this jab forever, £££ just isn’t possible, so I’m seeing those days as good practice!

Bit nervous about injection 2. I’m in the office tomorrow whereas I usually wfh, so hoping I continue with the minimal side effects.

Right I'm taking the plunge and ordering today - where do I order from?! There are so many different providers!!!

I used MedExpress and got £40 off my first order. I have just ordered my second pen and it was processed same day and delivered the next day.

Exciting stuff, I was excited to start! . My advice start straight away, read about lots of people saying it's been in the fridge for a week too scared to start, then say wish they had started sooner.. . but the injection is fine, no pain.. I wish I had known about this stuff sooner, I'm 9 weeks in now and so glad I took the plunge

Oh @morbidcuriosity the second that pen comes through the door it's in! 😂 I've waited too long!

My first dose is due to be delivered today. Should I take it straight away or wait until tonight?

Well I’ve reached W2D1

Starting weight 201.6lbs
Current weight 196.0lbs
Goal weight 140lbs

A bit of light queasiness one afternoon and a few headaches, but no showstopper symptoms. I had hoped this would work and am starting to feel it might.

Just a fraction of a pound more and I’ll be in the 13s. In January, I was 225lbs and the heaviest I’ve ever been - I made a decision to try to loose some, rather than buy clothes the next size up. It took 9 1/2 months to loose 23lbs without this drug and to realise that I was bouncing up and down on the scales, that I couldn’t do it without help.

@OrlandointheWilderness welcome! I had my first jab the day after it arrived, I had planned on doing it as soon as it arrived but I had read somewhere that it’s better to do it on an empty stomach, whether that’s true or not I have no idea, but I was terrified of having diarrhoea 😳good luck!

I've just done my third weigh-in, down another 2lbs (7 in total). However, my clothes are fitting much better. I've been at events every weekend and drinking, and still lost - so pleased. Ordering my next pen today.

On W3D3 and just done my first weigh in. I can get a bit obsessive about weighing myself, so I've held off until now and plan to only do it every few weeks.

SW: 12 stone 1lb
CW: 11 stone 7lb
TW: 9 and a half to 10 stone

8lb in 3 and a half weeks! So pleased 😄 I know my SW may not look that high, but I'm only 5'2" and that 8lb has taken me out of the obese BMI range.

My voy kit arrived! Well wrapped and nice and cold! I'm off today so I'm going to go for a walk and then take the plunge. Getting stuck in - no pun intended! 😁

My start weight and height are similar (5'2 and 12st 8lbs) and I'm also on the same day as you but not lost anything yet! Really hope my experience is a bit more like yours on 5mg, can't remember when I was last 'just' overweight!

I’m having 💉 2 this evening, definitely a bit hungry today but make a big pan of veggie soup and have the protein yoghurt in reach!

Going forward, I’m definitely going to try and plan some low calorie meals/ snacks for injection day if the appetite is sneaking back. When the suppression is peak, it’s so much easier to just have a bit of what you fancy and not go mad.

I wondered how you were getting on this week. I will also be getting some syringes for the bonus dose, i think Medbasic.co.uk was mentioned on one of the 'Bonus dose' threads (but worth a look through that thread as it also had details of how much to inject - think 0.6ml = normal 2.5 dose but do check)

I also went with MedExpress for first order and had no takers on the code so am looking elsewhere. I have been in touch with IQDoctor directly who look like the best deal long-ish term (1st order around £109 for 2.5 or 5ml and then 15% discount ongoing so still reasonable for the higher doses) Bearing in mind it becomes difficult to chop and change suppliers as you loose weight.

I am looking for a supplier who i want to stay with. They will let you go up to 5ml. You will still need to send photos of yourself and previous order/prescription, and get approved but they do take into consideration the fact that you have already started on it. This was important for me as i started at a low-ish BMI so will potentially be at around or just under 30 by the time I start my new pen (fingers crossed although its stalled a bit this week) Their maintenance programme seems reasonable as well so once you get down to around a BMI of 23 they will review you on a case by case basis.

Would advise looking at monj.co.uk and doing a calculation based on how long you think you will be on it. As well as the discounted prices it will also give you the non-discounted prices.
