For me it’s impacted quite a few things. Yes I feel less hungry, but also think about food less. I was one of these people that was constantly thinking about food, what I should eat what I shouldn’t eat, when I could eat, what food was in the cupboard, going through the food in the cupboard in my mind convincing myself I could eat this or I shouldn’t eat that, how greedy I was for wanting more food, how I hated myself for obsessing about food and so on.
All that’s gone. Yes my appetite is suppressed. But without the constant monologue regarding food my head feels a lot clearer. I have far more energy this last 10 days, I am being far more productive and more active. I used to be so wiped out at the end of a work day all I could do was sit in a quiet room. Now I feel normal and go for a walk after work.
I have found myself wanting to eat better food. You need to eat plenty of fibre and protein and have a varied diets and I am actually enjoying making healthy nutritious food and enjoying eating it. So I would say I don’t feel meh about food. But I am not obsessed it and enjoying eating for health.
Remember not everyone gets suppression or any impact from the first 4 doses. Sometimes it needs to build up in your system. So don’t worry if you don’t get suppression straight away.
Also I have a lot to lose. So the initial weight loss will be quite a bit. I expect it to settle as 1-2lbs a week.
