Morning all, I've also been awake since silly o clock & read the whole Internet!
I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to share a link for insulin needles they have ordered/used please so that my last dose doesn't evade me his time?

Timetochange24 · 20/10/2024 08:44

Does anyone know of a provider who does a click and collect option - either pick up at an actual pharmacy or delivery to a pickup point? I'm starting a new job soon so will be at home a lot less, and i don't want a £150+ MJ package dumped on the doorstep on the main road all day!! Royal mail delivery is hit and miss here so can't rely on next day delivery even when I know my schedule - my medexpress next day delivery took 3 days to get here after it was dispatched.

@AdeloreSmore I have these ready to go which I hope are the right thing.

I think Asda and Boots do. I seem to recall seeing that when I was choosing a supplier.

lookathatbookcase · 20/10/2024 09:21

@Timetochange24 ASDA do - I've been with them for nearly 3 months and I've always picked up from one of their pharmacies.

Usernamechangeforthis12 · 20/10/2024 10:03

Wow you lot like to chat!! I can’t keep up!!

Well done for the losses and NSVs, and to those sts.

I’m down 2.5lbs this week - 11.11stone which I’m happy with but my clothes just don’t seem to be getting any bigger!

And, with only 2 weeks to go, the dress I’ve bought for a wedding is still too tight so I’m going to have to find something else. I really don’t have the time….anyone seen something lately (14/16) that fits this description- long/maxi, modest (Muslim wedding), cool (overseas and 30c), short sleeved (cover those bingo wings), empire style maybe- still got a large tum and cheap as it’ll only get worn once.

I also need bras. I think that’s where all the weight has gone from! I’ve not been out for years and suddenly need clothes!

I’m going to jab tomorrow, pleased to be back to Mondays as it works well for me. I’m still on 3.75 and don’t plan to increase yet. I still have at least a dose left in my 2nd pen which i started over 30 days ago but it’s still clear and cool. I’m going to use it and will report back. Anyone else used a pen over 30 days?

Anyone who’s taken their pen on holiday - hold suitcase or hand luggage? I’d really rather the suitcase and have never known wine bags or anything else to freeze….

Wingingit11 · 20/10/2024 10:21

@Timetochange24 yes Asda you desk Riley can and pretty quick although obviously you’ll need to take a cool bag if a distance. They are pretty quick in authorising it too- usually a day or two after you can collect locally. Alternatively oushk let you specify a day for RM or DPD Inc wkd I think

NippyCrab · 20/10/2024 10:34

@Mum0ntherun I'm an emotional eater I've used the emotion to walk, self care like go and do my brows, or cleaning 😅 it's easier for me because I just don't buy tempting foods, DH works away and I live alone. It's not easy when you have a family. You should have just stoated the item off him, not condoning violence, just a preventative measure to eating 😅

@AnnieMcFanny that sounds so lovely and a special bond you have with your sil. I love she was a professional, successful woman, her stories will be amazing.
We've been up since 4am with one of the dogs needing a poo ffs lol. One has also vomited up their breakfast, lovely jubbly 🤣
I've got 4 items of clothing I've bought and I'm scared to try them on, especially 2 which are a blouse in a 14 and a pair of dungarees from Lucy and Yak, I blame the S&B board, it encouraged me to make the purchase.
The storm is passing quickly, I'm braving the day at lunchtime for a walk.
Have a fab day everyone.

*definitely - not sure what went wrong there !

FlappingMadly · 20/10/2024 11:01

Thank you! @CrazyGoatLady Such an interesting read. This is the famine and feast I mention on pages. I have never seen it recommended to do extended refeeding. Such great sources. I guess this is why 5:2/5:3 works. I already planned to do this life after MJ, but now am beginning to understand the macros for me better.

@Mum0ntherun hope you’re feeling better today. I am an emotional eater too and there’s one relative who would make me practically levitate to the kitchen if I even saw a msg from her to another. A friend having therapy through a hideous divorce was told that she cannot control her ex and only her own behaviour. And that really spoke to me. Am trying to remember that. It’s also helped by having horrendous heartburn the next day if I eat after dinner due to the slowed digestion
on MJ.

@AnnieMcFanny that must be so sad to see but it sounds like you have a lovely bond.

AdeloreSmore · 20/10/2024 11:24

Suddenly got really hungry so listened to my body and made banana pancakes - actually hoovered this lot down 😆

CrazyGoatLady · 20/10/2024 13:27

Happy Sunday everyone!

@AdeloreSmore your pancakes look incredible!

@NippyCrab good luck with your trying on session! Love Lucy & Yak.

@FlappingMadly glad you found the link useful. And I really do hear you on the emotional eating 😬

Hope everyone else who's about is going on ok this Sunday.

I've just been up to sort the animals out this morning, have come back really hungry - logical, I had some yogurt with sugar free granola and fruit but probably soon burnt that off carrying straw, hay, feed bags and mucking out. I feel like I'm getting more hungry, my appetite isn't suppressed exactly but then I can't eat that much even when I feel like I am hungry. I also get bored of eating, which for me is SO strange I can't even describe - I used to sometimes feel a level of disappointment on finishing a nice meal!

My mum brought round some bread and pastries earlier. DH has taken DS2 to his bouldering competition today and DS1 is gaming round a friend's. Normally a bakery bag with everyone else out of the house would be a massive danger zone but I just haven't even thought to open the bags. I saw she'd left them, thought "oh the boys will hoover those later" and ate some leftover chicken noodles, which I didn't even manage to finish.

It's like a switch has been flipped and I don't see the bakery bags as a viable food option. I'm happy about it, but it's very very weird!

20bloodypounds · 20/10/2024 14:12

@NippyCrab the storm has left you and has made its way to the east of Scotland - wild out there!

I'm another who has stayed more or less the same for a couple of weeks. Last week wasn't surprising as there were a lot of social events (family having consecutive milestone birthday celebrations). I was just glad I navigated through it without too much damage.

My dd was home for a few days too. She would never comment on my weight but she did say "you're looking really well Mum" That made me feel very good. dd is vegetarian so I enjoyed making several new recipes and I've ticked the box on 30 different plant based ingredients this week.

Pinkjenny · 20/10/2024 15:38

I constantly find myself amazed at how you just cannot predict how you're going to feel from one week to the next.

Last week I had absolutely no suppression at all. This week I'm struggling to eat much and I have a headache and constant nausea. I think I'm going to switch back to jabbing on a Saturday so that I can hide at my desk when the side effects hit rather than having to spend hours cooking a roast and watching my son play football.

I don't know if I managed to get a bit more than 0.6ml in my bonus dose but I'm a bit worried about 7.5 now!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/10/2024 16:22

@Mum0ntherun not the worst thing to eat

Sorry dh was being a knob !!!

@AnnieMcFanny sorry to hear about sil decline

@Usernamechangeforthis12 well done on loss

@AdeloreSmore my syringes have been linked and pancakes look yummy

@20bloodypounds hope you get a whoosh soon

@NippyCrab how are the clothes ? I'm nowhere near a 14

Roast is cooking and I'm pretty hungry for it! Guaranteed I won't manage half of what I put on my plate but looking forward to it.

Chilled Sunday for me today, just a little walk round the block with the dog and a rest day. It's felt nice to put my feet up for a bit!

Bexs2247 · 20/10/2024 17:10

Hey all. I’m 1stone 11lbs down in 11 weeks. 3 stone 1lb to go. I have suppression but I can still eat meals which is fine with me. My chocolate addiction is under control. I still have chocolate, sometimes every day, but it one of those dairy milk little bars instead of a massive share bar!

biggest problem at the moment is rich tea biscuits. I have between 7 and 10 a day. It’s all within my calorie limited but I feel it’s a bit too much. I have 2 for breakfast as I’m in a rush as I’m in the gym at 6am. 3/4 when I get home from work and maybe a couple later. I’m not hungry when I have them but I just like them and they go with a cuppa! I feel I need to reduce them though and I’m not sure how! It’s the one thing left I feel I need to get control of!

Fuffedoff · 20/10/2024 17:13

Evening! Or late Afternoon..

We are off to Cornwall tomorrow until Friday.

It's forecast some rain so I tried looking for my rain anorak earlier and cannot find it anywhere which is frustrating. I was hoping it would be looser on me compared to when I first bought it.

I don't know exactly what we have planned yet and hoping that I can manage to at least maintain whilst we are there.

Does anyone have any recommendations of things to do/places to go in Cornwall? It's for 2 adults, one teen.

I was tempted to take my scales with me as weighing daily keeps me motivated 😂.. maybe that's a step too far.

itwasnevermine · 20/10/2024 17:38

Struggling with calories again today. Yesterday and today have both been 1000 calorie days.

I think this is really related to my cycle though, and I know long term it does even itself out

Wingingit11 · 20/10/2024 17:51

@itwasnevermine do you mean that’s a lot or too little?

Wingingit11 · 20/10/2024 17:51

Too little!!!

I try to sit at 1200-1400 most days, and before my period sit at 1400-1600, but since my jab on Friday night I've been struggling to eat

Wingingit11 · 20/10/2024 17:56

Ah ok I wondered! Have you just changed dose?

It's my second week on 6.25, bust last week was my period so I never feel the proper effects of it

NippyCrab · 20/10/2024 18:30

@20bloodypounds it's back! Urgh, it's wild but not raining, my wee bungalow is shaking 🌀🌬
@Blondeshavemorefun I've not done the trying on, only one item is out of packaging. My Lucy locket loves leggings arrived I know they will defo fit.

I've not eaten well today, I'm tired. I've had a slice of seeded sourdough with jam this morning. An apple 🍎 and I had 2 mini cheeses with a coffee. Then I had leftover popcorn, sweet and salty which was fine but then a toffee one. Felt sick, I've eaten a couple of spoonfuls of spag bol and a square of dark chocolate and that's my lot for today.

Swans on the shoreline today 🦢 i sat on the sand daydreaming and got bloody cut off haha! The rocks were not an option today so luckily there's a path up the cliff side. That was a calorie burner 🤣
