Morning,

I randomly "gained" 1.2kg on Sunday weigh in, but I possibly did have some salty food the night before- actually it most likely was.

Today I'm -0.6kg again, so hopefully I'm on the right path to losing the water weight again.

I have been feeling very bloated and haven't been to the toilet in two days. I had a few episodes of diarrhea on Saturday and I took some imodium- maybe that's not helped.

Anywho, last night I decided to purchase a fancy Bluetooth measuring tape. It arrived this morning and I was so excited that I've logged my measurements already. Hopefully this might be a bit more accurate then my own measuring :D

Onwards and upwards

NippyCrab · 14/10/2024 14:52

Just catching up..
@eeeeeeeee and @SilverSprings510 ffs! That's awful, hugs, it's good you're okay physically but the emotional impact will hit hard! How the AF these scum sleep ar night is beyond me.
That's DH away for his 10 days again so I need to get some serious meal planning done and order my shopping. I'm finding I'm too tired lately to eat a meal so I need to batch cook a day and then I can add my veg in. My body hates the colder weather and I feel I'm now needing a sleep in the afternoon again, I hate ME!
I'm going to stock up on easy protein snacks like boiled eggs and some shakes and mousses, and get some good carb veg to have with oily fishes 🐟 😋
I don't want to get stuck at this point and go off track!
@MabelSpan omg i hope you're okay, i wish there was an injection of antidote to combat any major effects of an accidental high dose. X

MabelSpan · 14/10/2024 15:33

@eeeeeeeee @SilverSprings510 I am so sorry to hear of your hideous and distressing experiences. In all my confusion earlier I completely forgot to acknowledge your posts🤗

@NippyCrab thanks. Oh me too! I have just popped a kwells...I fear this is the start of a slippery slope😧

On the plus side I might end up with a good loss this week😃

Wingingit11 · 14/10/2024 15:52

@MabelSpan eeek sending prayers!
I m not very impressed with the 7s mg, today I have been seriously munchy. I seem to have read a lot of threads about people finding10 much better online so guess push through this and onto 10. Blimey, how far we’ve come! Do have a concern about getting to 15 and that stopping working too though

itwasnevermine · 14/10/2024 15:54

NSV (because the scales will not reflect anything but water weight right now), but my period has finally stopped turning me into a black hole!! Yes I was snacky and ate 1600-1700 calories but that's nothing compared to what I used to eat

doingitthistime · 14/10/2024 17:17

I've been away for the weekend and spent most of it on the toilet or asleep. No pains or vomiting, just anything I ate or drank running out of me. Eaten two crumpets and a very small meal in 4 day. Lost all of it within 2 hours each time.
Week 4 of 5mg, no previous issues other than sulpher burps. Imodium useless.
Too scared to take tomorrows dose, think I'm going to drop back to 2.5 when this settles then try to increase again. Now I'm home I'm going to try to eat something bland, at least I have my own toilet now.
@MabelSpan hope you're feeling ok after your double dose.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2024 17:39

Ditto @Wingingit11 I don't think 7.5 is doing much compared tho how I felt on the double dose of 10

I felt full left some of my meals

I don't get that with 7.5

But will do the other 2 doses - well 3 with bonus and then move to 10

SilverSprings510 · 14/10/2024 17:43

NSV today - I wore trousers and a blouse to work. I normally wear a dress as they’re more flattering but I got so many compliments about how much weight I’d lost! And I could really see the weight loss myself, so that feels great.

itwasnevermine · 14/10/2024 17:46

Well I left work well and ready to go to the gym tonight and fell over on my walk to the station, I got caught out by a loose paving slab 🥲 I'm in agony!!

FlappingMadly · 14/10/2024 18:05

I get you @Blondeshavemorefun but there is more to it than 1-2lb a week. A loss like that is more likely to be fat than muscle or water, your body has time to re calibrate, blood sugar in check which is beneficial in so many ways, not just for weight. If we’ve a few diets under our belt our systems are wary & we have the space with MJ to find a sustainable realistic skinny life. Also, like me you lost a substantial weight before beginning MJ. Fret not, you are a goddess now and will be even more, err, goddesser.

Oh no! @itwasnevermine . Are you ok?
Great NSV.

@MabelSpan hope you’re okay on the higher dose.

@SilverSprings510 oh that’s just lovely! Great NSV.

Yikes! @doingitthistime that sounds miserable. Are you sure you didn’t have a bug.

My NSV. I’m wearing a jumper today that didn’t fit at all last winter. If I managed to pull it down it rose up to my boobs if I moved. And today it fits fine. Weird, cos I don’t feel I lost off my stomach but I’m pleased!

itwasnevermine · 14/10/2024 18:07

@FlappingMadly I'm in a lot of pain but hoping it's not serious as I just can't be bothered with that and also don't want to go to a&e tonight!

poppym12 · 14/10/2024 18:23

I haven't weighed myself as I'm on holiday (even though there are scales in the bathroom) but today I wore my denim type shorts. I bought these in spring and they fitted quite well (maybe a bit snug but I refused to size up as I was already ashamed that they were a 20).

Anyway, today they're hanging off me - and I didn't bring a belt.

Feeling pretty pleased.

MissFancyDay · 14/10/2024 18:51

Quick update from me as I haven't been on for a while.

I'm one jab into my second 5mg pen. I humm'd and haa'd for a long time about whether to go up to 7.5mg or stick to 5mg. The 5mg was working in conjunction with strict calorie counting, and I was losing about 2lbs a week. So I felt that, in order to have some in reserve I would get another 5mg.

Anyway, this second 5mg pen feels so different, I have mild nausea and don't fancy food at all. We will wait and see if it stays that way but I am so glad that I didn't titrate up.

Possibly my body is becoming more sensitive as time passes, rather than less sensitive to the medication. I suppose it is a bit far fetched to wonder if the strength of the doses vary from pen to pen. Anyway time will tell.

@MabelSpan hope all is well with you @eeeeeeeee @SilverSprings510 sorry to hear of your awful experiences.

weaseleyes · 14/10/2024 19:11

Excellent NSV @poppym12!

Am hoping @MabelSpan isn't feeling too rough.

MabelSpan · 14/10/2024 19:34

@itwasnevermine Hope you are doing ok. Sending healing hugs🤗

@Wingingit11 @doingitthistime @FlappingMadly @MissFancyDay @weaseleyes Thanks all, feeling a bit nauseous now but not too bad, yet!🙂

I have a Tesco delivery due tomorrow so am stocking up with all things ginger and peppermint!
I have also redone myself a copy of the doses chart, colour co-ordinating each dose and labelling ml and mg so I dont make the same stupid mistake again. At least thats the plan😉

I have been struggling with brain fog really badly for the last few days, (tweaked my HRT), I was stupid to start fiddling when I couldnt really think clearly🙄

weaseleyes · 14/10/2024 19:37

Phew! Glad you're in one piece so far.

MabelSpan · 14/10/2024 19:41

weaseleyes · 14/10/2024 19:37

Phew! Glad you're in one piece so far.

So far...😃To look on the positive side, if this doesnt ruin me, I guess I will be ok to go back up to 5mg next week!

owlyboo · 14/10/2024 19:42

Great NSV @SilverSprings510 great to see it for yourself. Also another fab NSV @FlappingMadly and @ @poppym12

Oh no @itwasnevermine !! Hope you heal quickly!

Hope you feel better soon @doingitthistime

Hope you stay feeling okay @MabelSpan !!

MargoLivebetter · 14/10/2024 20:22

Eek @itwasnevermine. What bit of you have you hurt? I hope some painkillers and a good night's sleep will help and nothing serious has happened.

itwasnevermine · 14/10/2024 20:23

Thanks everyone!!

My ankle is well and truly fooked unfortunately, I've got a lump the size of an egg on the side of it so it's off to a&e first thing in the morning to get it seen to

MelainesLaugh · 14/10/2024 20:31

Started 2nd 5mg pen and OMG the suppression is unreal. I took it on Saturday and today I had to literally force myself to eat. I think I’ve definitely made the right decision in not moving up.

I’ve felt a bit sicky too, which is a first. I think I may be a bit constipated as I don’t feel empty. But seeing as I’m so used to having IBS diarrhoea within about ten minutes of eating I don’t quite know what constipation feels like!

HamAlive · 14/10/2024 21:39

Fingers crossed @MabelSpan 🤞 Hopefully you'll be fine and then you can just go up to 5mg next week!

@itwasnevermine oh man, really hope it's not broken. Good luck for the morning.

I ate a roast at the in laws' yesterday, didn't go mad and had only had a light breakfast, but couldn't fit much in and it went right through me, sorry TMI.

FlappingMadly · 14/10/2024 21:40

Oh no @itwasnevermine s&e is a good idea. Try not to put weight on your ankle. Hope you heal well. 💐

@poppym12 fantastic NSV! Though you might have a wardrobe challenge now.

FlappingMadly · 14/10/2024 21:48

I read a week or so ago that you should alternate the jab site to better disperse the drug. I had always been injecting in the stomach. So injected in the leg. All that time I had felt quite sicky with exertion, including carrying shopping home type activity. My last jab on Friday was in the arm and no nausea with exercise. Interesting.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2024 21:50

Awwww &
@FlappingMadly 😍

@SilverSprings510 fab NSV !!

@itwasnevermine ouch. Contact council and make a claim

@poppym12 that's fab. Well done

@MissFancyDay if 5 is working. Stick on it

@MabelSpan glad you are ok on higher dose. Weird if 4 was hard for you

@MelainesLaugh Maybe ibs is getting better on mj
