Iv just ordered Mounjaro and waiting for it to be delivered.

Iv been trying to look at old threads throughout the months to see how people are getting on and looking for before and after pictures.

I wondered if anyone would be happy to share their weight loss and length of time it took them to achieve that amount.

Height:
Start weight:
End weight:
length of time:

Before and after pics a bonus!

and yes, I know we all lose at different rates etc but it’s always good other peoples successes!

Well, I was doing well, other than feeling a bit sick to start after injection 1. I was ok. I've done my 3rd injection of 2.5mg on Tuesday just gone, but I have felt so ill since yesterday. I've had diarrhoea for the last 12 hours. I've decided I'm stopping, which is a shame as I've lost about 11lb in 3 weeks already.

I had been taking MJ with zero side effects for 7 weeks, then same as you felt like death and felt nauseous bad diarrhoea, stomach pain and churning stomach, I asked others on the site on here and they were convinced it was a bug lasted about 4 days now I am completely fine, please give it another shot, I have lost 30lbs in exactly 2 months, bizarrely only lost one pound the week I was so ill!
Best of luck if you do decide to continue.

Jinxy1979 · 18/10/2024 20:36

For people who have had these amazing losses, how much exercise were you doing? I start mine when it hopefully arrived Monday, but with two little ones I’m struggling to fit in time for exercise x

I decided to stop. I was meant to do injection 4 the start of this week. I feel better, to be honest. I didn't like how I felt on the injections. It wasn't for me.

I had no idea that so many people were taking this to lose a few stone, who weren't that overweight to start with.

I need to lose three stone - starting weight 12st 4.

at my height I was obese when I started and after three weeks I have just slipped below 30 BMI.

I think (hope) it’s hard to get if you aren’t obese as a starting weight.

I lost over 50lbs doing no exercise other than walking 2 miles a day and generally playing with my toddler. My weight loss has been through calorie limiting (to around 1000 a day on average), which has come naturally/easily as I lost interest in snacking and focus my meals on protein to avoid muscle loss.

I intend to start doing more exercise now I'm lighter and generally less quick to get out of breath and my knees feel the pressure less. But that's for my general health, not because I need to do it for weight loss.

Foxredleo · 07/11/2024 21:28

Hello all just reigniting this thread! I started a week ago on 2.5mg. I'm 5ft 7 and 14st 5lbs. Hoping to get down 10st 7lbs, not been that size for nearly 10 years. So far I've noticed medium suppression with the odd headache and some tiredness, together with a heavy muscle feeling, but not every night. Looking forward to my journey.

Scotstots · 27/11/2024 11:56

@Foxredleo - I have almost exact same stats as you, started on 24.11 - feeling ok so far, good suppression, but having headaches. Need to remember to drink enough water. Giving myself mini goals as it feels a long slog to get to 10.7.

StiggyZardust · 27/11/2024 12:10

I started 6 weeks ago. I'm 172cm tall, start weight was 114kgs. I'm now 106kgs.
I haven't really been watching the calories, just eating less. I'm going to do another month and then stop as I can't justify the cost.
I'm hoping to get it on the NHS as I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. The diabetes nurse thinks I'm a good candidate.

Foxredleo · 27/11/2024 12:35

@Scotstots hello! You're right, the goal weight seems ages away although I did calculate if I continue at the rate I'm losing i should be there by June. I had a bit of a funny tummy last week but I put it down to a spicy curry which I don't think reacted well with the medication. I've also swapped from injecting my tummy to my thigh and have found I can tolerate the side effects much better. I took my last dose of 2.5mg on Saturday just gone. I'm already starving this week so looking forward to go up to 5mg on Saturday.

healthybychristmas · 27/11/2024 13:00

Just a warning not to eat much the day before going up to the next level.

I'm waiting on a call off the diabetic nurse hopefully tomorrow, I'm type 2 and she said last Oct 2023 she would of put me on them but was a shortage but should be able to next summer (2024) so I'm hoping she doesn't go back on her word 😂

Hello

Always happy to share!

Good luck with your journey and feel free to ask any questions, can't say I'll be able to answer but happy to try

I'm 5 ft 4 (almost!) and I started in April weighing nearly 15 stone. I'm currently 9 st 11 and aiming for 9 stone 5 I think

Was a size 16 ish and now a size 10

Hey can I ask what mg you were on/stayed on and for how long? You’ve done incredible!!! I’m same height and starting weigh and had first injection a week ago! You’re an inspiration

HiThereBatFace · 14/12/2024 19:47

@HappyPinkPoet thank you. Good luck with your journey, I'm sure you'll smash it.

I stayed on 2.5 for months. So lost the majority on that dose. I then went to 5 a couple of months ago and finally to 7.5 last month. I'm going to start tapering off now though as I'm about done.

Incredible!! Well done
I’ve done almost 3 weeks on 5 and it’s doing nothing for me! I’ll be going to 7.5 soon. I need to drink more water and up my protein though

HiThereBatFace · 14/12/2024 20:03

@Noshowlomo good luck! And yes, I need to up water and protein. It's quite easy to just not bother as it's such a slog - especially the water!
