Checking in! Love hearing how everyone is getting on and sending well wishes to everyone who’s feeling a bit rubbish on it 💐
yesterday was DH’s birthday and he requested an Indian, I was terrified I’d over indulge and ruin my hard work but actually it was the opposite. I put a small amount of rice on my plate, fished out a few king prawns from the pathia which I don’t think is too bad anyway as not creamy and specifically went for a chicken tikka starter so no sauce, just a couple of bits of chicken and DH put some naan on my plate which I had 3 odd bites of and 1 popadom. Wasn’t even tempted by the bhajis, samosas or even the saag paneer! Focused on protein first and was comfortably full with what I had. Usually I’d have had half of everything and finished it - DH said he’d never been so full as there was so much left compared to normal he kept dipping in for more!
Today I had a few bites of breaded fish for lunch (left over from what I’d served DS’s, avoided party food while we were out this afternoon by having a Pepsi max and have planned steak for dinner with veggies but I’m actually not even in the slightest bit hungry! Will try and eat some steak to get the protein in.
Wish me luck for tomorrow. DH’s family are over and we’re having a picky super light lunch (pitta, crisps, dips etc) so I’m going to try and fill up on the carrot sticks, cucumber, pepper I’ll serve with it then it was agreed we’d have a Chinese together. Thinking of getting beef in black bean and some stir fried mushrooms. Could really do without it but his birthday is only once a year and come Monday we’ll be back to the grind with our ‘normal’ meals.
