I've just started this morning after months of research. Feeling nervous but excited. Any other new or existing users want to join support and share successes?

Does anyone NOT feel suppression/food noise/feeling fuller on the 2.5mg dose?

I'm 3 doses in and already ordered the 5mg pen but tempted to do 5mg on fourth week.. I won't though.

Just wanna know I'm not alone 😂

I'm just paranoid with the short expiry date that it's not working

Day 2 of second 2.5mg dose today and the food suppression is high but not sure if it’s because I feel really nauseous, especially after eating earlier, and that was very light and protein based. Feel a bit bleugh in general but also think I’m in for a cold which doesn’t help.

Feeling very similar on day two too, also very cold. Having to force myself to eat as was at gym class this morning and tomorrow morning

Hopefully it passes! Had quite an easy week last week so fingers crossed more of the same. More time on my hands this week too, might have to make myself busier til back to work at the end of the week, keep my mind off it.

I lost a gay bale and need to lose another one. 52lb off 48to go

I’ve taken my second dose today, really pleased so far. The relief blog not having that little voice persuading me to eat, eat, eat is amazing.

30/08/2024 - 122.5kg
03/09/2024 - 120.9kg, first dose 2.5 of MJ
10/09/2024 - 118.3kg, second dose 2.5 of MJ

Loss - 4.2kg

Goal - to be in the healthy BMI range (70.3kg)

Second injection tomorrow morning, before we leave to go on a campervan trip. I still have enough supression that I am easily missing breakfast and not hungry at all in the morning.

Yesterday I got those familiar feelings when I was cooking of wanting to nibble on some of the cheese I was grating, and I wanted a glass of wine. I did both. The problem then was not feeling very hungry at all for my much more nutritious baked summer squash with black bean chilli. I'll know better next time!

I'm usually a daily weigher but I'm going to hide my scales and only weigh weekly as I get despondent by any upward bounce. That'll be easy over the next 10 days as I'm not taking scales in the campervan!

I started on Sunday 8th because last week I found out I was 2 stone heavier than I thought I was having avoided the scales for 3 years. 14 stone and 5ft 4.
I thought I was about 12 stone and thus I was very shocked.

I do go to the gym and eat healthy re my main meals and I thought I was a moderate snacker and drinker. That said, I was on antidepressants for over a year as an experiment by the Dr to see if they reduced my nerve pain - I think I gained the extra 2 stone in weight then.

The weird thing that has been mentioned a lot is the food noise disappearing, it happened almost immediately after the injection. I feel like I did when I stopped smoking in that I have all this ‘spare time’ which I hadn’t realised until now was filled with snacking, drinking and thinking about the latter. I didn’t realise how much mental space food took up and how much extra I ate outside main meals. This has been a massive eye opener for me.

Anyway, am enjoying reading everyone’s experiences. I’ve had a weird tummy and been a bit tired and I am trying to adapt to my new eating regimes to include lots of protein and taking onboard advice so fingers crossed 🙂

Did second jab today and it was noticeable that as appetite suppression wore off (before new jab kicked in) I went right back to my ‘old ways’ and ate a chocolate bar mid morning for absolutely no reason except mild boredom. I suppose it was too much to hope for a reset in such a short time, but I’ll be gutted if I don’t manage to break these crappy patterns once I’m not actively medicated.

I ordered from Boots too, on Sat. Just been approved today and waiting for it to be delivered to store. It says it could take up to 5 days to arrive but keeping my fingers crossed it will be sooner (before I lose my nerve). Slightly regretting using Boots now as they seem much slower but I want to pick the pen up rather than have it delivered and Boots is on my way home.

Today was a tough day emotionally. Anniversary of a very close friend who died by suicide.
I have eaten healthy sensible meals , no snacks and 1 large glass of wine to toast him with loved ones.

Means a lot to know I am in control of this, food and drink is not in control of me

@Justasmallgless Sending love - I find emotional days the hardest to deal with. But feeling in control is a good feeling.

So I had first jab on Thursday, have stuck pretty close to fast 800/low carb and its been totally manageable. I am noticably hungrier today and yesterday though, its just i seem to have the ability to ignore it and I'm not craving food, although low carbing has that effect too.

Have a lot of stressful things going on at the moment, so really pleased to have found the willpower not to comfort eat.

At last! Ordered last Wednesday received on the Friday but couldn't find the needles. Ordered some more which arrived today.

So I've just had my first injection. Blimey I didn't even feel the needle go in!

So off to sleep and see how I feel tomorrow. Deep down I think it's not going to work! I've got about 2 stone 7 pounds to lose.

I'll weight myself properly tomorrow.

I emailed them today but had no reply!
Going to call them in the morning and ask them what the hold up is may even consider sourcing elsewhere as I just want to crack on now .

Exactly what I was saying to myself!
wish I went elsewhere but let’s hope I get it by the weekend as I may possibly back out.

I did my second 2.5mg dose on Sunday (at day 6), as appetite suppression definitely wore off by Friday. I hope that as the dose increases the appetite suppression lasts a bit longer.

Well, that’s me one week in and 4lbs down. I’m pleased with that. I was considering taking the injection last night, but have put it off till this morning. That way I’m only 12 hours earlier than last week. It’s only been the last couple of days my appetite has started making noises in my head again. Muffled, but definitely present. I’ve noticed I’ve grazed a bit.

Only for the first day or two, after that I am relying on willpower! Have lost only 3lbs or so and am looking forward to moving to 5mg… still 2 doses of 2.5 to go for me. On the plus side, no side effects either!

I found yesterday that the suppression was starting to fade. Not massively, but enough to be noticeable. Still no full on hunger. More of a mumour in the background.

I have woken up feeling really hungry. I’m due injection 2 tomorrow night. Definitely going to need willpower today.
