Hi here's another thread.

I'm not anxious. Had a fab weight loss first week. Sure this week will be less

But

This is for the long haul

So we all started in august. Some at beginning. Some middle. Some end

But most of us should be thinking of going up to 5 now /in a week or two

Then see how we do by Xmas so will be 4/5mths

I have seen some people talk about taking collagen on the main Mounjaro thread, I wonder if it helps.

I've even bought six new bras, the next size down. They're too small at the moment, but they will fit me in a few weeks

Im just so happy right now. And when I think how much being overweight has dominated my thoughts for years I’m never going back there. I’m looking to the future.

No anxiety here, I am in this for the long haul!
In fact I am not really thinking about mj at all other than popping on here now and again and jabbing and weighing on a Wednesday, (which is weird as I have always weighed myself on a Monday and might end up swapping it to Monday once I am further along the road).

I will be ordering my 1st 5mg pen in the next week or so. I wondered about staying on 2.5mg for another month, but as they are the same price I am going to go up, use the bonus dose as a step up and maybe use 45 clicks/3.75mg of the 5mg pen for the first go, see how I respond to that, then use the full 5mg from jab 2.

Anyone else planning to do the same?

Yes, I'm using the bonus dose as a stepping up dose. I did my 4th injection on Monday (a day early as I was feeling the hunger terribly) so bonus dose next week and then onto the 5ml, which is in my fridge and ready to go.

This sounds like a plan to me. I think I'll do the same too.

@WitchDancer Are you planning to use the twist or syringe method for your bonus dose? I am curious to know how much is in the bonus dose so I think I shall do the syringe method.

I weighed in at 14.10 this morning, my next pen, 5mg, has been approved. I think I'm ready for the 5mg. Food noise isn't back per se but.... hard to explain... I don't think the suppression has been as good this past week. I'll do my bonus dose on Friday then start with the new 5mg pen next week.

Has anyone done the bonus dose off the 2.5mg pen? Is it a slightly higher dose or the same 2.5mg as the rest of the pen?

I have been really lucky and had minimal side effects so one or two step ups seems like a sensible next step to me. Doubling the dose seems a bit drastic!

Yes same, minimal side effects here too. So how many clicks on the 5mg pen is 3.75?

People using the syringe method report various doses between 0.7 and 0.9, depending on how much you have squirted out when priming.

Bonus dose is higher quantity depending on prime use I understand so about 3.4 ish

I'm going to try to twist the pen as I have spare needles left over from some old meds so it should be a stepping stone up to the 5mg.

Plus this stuff costs a fortune so why waste it?

Absolutely, I am going to drain every last drop to get my monies worth!

Syringe. I haven't got any more needles for my pen, plus I want to have control over the amount I'm injecting. I got some insulin needles when I first signed up for Mounjaro.

Same, I need to know exactly how much I am taking, the not knowing precisely how much I have increased by would drive me batty! 😃

Could someone please post a picture of what an insulin needle looks like pls. Is it an injection like , you know, a real injection. Or is it something else. I need to see what is before I think about whether I’d do anything with the bonus dose. Thank you.
