Morning all!

End of week 13 weigh in!
SW: 13st 3.5
WI: 11st 2.5
GW: 10st 6?

Edging so close to the 10s I can almost taste it. I’m wondering if I should adjust my goal weight up a bit as I’ll be starting the gym soon and I notoriously do not lose weight when I go to the gym because it gives me a hunger I don’t think even MJ could fight.

Also, I split my last 5mg dose over two weeks (felt much better but also had way more to eat so I’m going to try doing the clicks to get 3mg) and the place I get my pens from NOTICED 😫 My order for another 5 pen got put on hold and they emailed me asking if I skipped a week because if so I’d need to go back to 2.5. I lied… said I usually order with a few weeks to go and left it a week later than usual… and the order went through. That said, it’s good motivation for this to be my last pen seeing as I’m so close to the finish line. I don’t think if I went back in 6-7 weeks asking for a 5 they’d believe me. Probably a good sign that they’re monitoring it.

Edited

Wow I'm very impressed they noticed!

@Lynsey14 Who are you with that noticed 1 week extra?
Must say I am surprised they noticed.

Must say I am surprised they noticed.

So am I, given that they always provide five needles.

TheShellBeach · 13/09/2024 14:34

Well, I've lost another 4lb this week.

I don't feel any different, after having injected into my arm.

I'm still on 10mg and still getting very good suppression.

Notcms · 13/09/2024 15:02

How much are people honestly eating?
I'm not managing much but my weight loss is very very slow.

Callmejudith · 13/09/2024 15:04

@Notcms have a look at the "what I ate today" thread - I am always v honest on there.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 13/09/2024 15:30

@Lynsey14 bizarre that they noticed and what they said was not correct as you don't need to go back if you miss a week. From what I can see, it's recommended if there is a 2 week gap but definitely not just one!

Lynsey14 · 13/09/2024 21:45

It’s simpleonlinepharmacy I get pens from. Maybe they know about the click trick and want to make sure I buy the 2.5 for the same price rather than getting extra 😅 I was quite taken aback!!!!

JomonotFomo · 14/09/2024 07:46

Week 15 for me and I’ve lost another 1lb bringing the total loss to 40lb!!!

SW 15st 12
CW 13st

BMI has gone from 37 to 30.3! And I’ve lost about 18% of my weight.

Next goals which I hope to achieve in the next few weeks are:

getting into the 12 stones (1/2 lb to go)
3 stone loss (2lb to go)
BMI under 30 (3lb to go)

I am still on 5mg, the symptoms albeit only one to two days a week are enough that I don’t feel I can up and function. That said suppression is still ok.

TheShellBeach · 14/09/2024 12:38

I've had a whoosh overnight and lost another 3lb.

I wasn't expecting that. So I am now 15st 1lb - almost at the point of seeing the scales start with a 14.

It has been 12 weeks since my first injection and I have lost 2st 11lb. Just edging towards 3st.

And in total, since I started trying to lose weight in January, I have lost 5st 1lb. About 2st 4lb on my own (which took six months) and the other 2st 11lb in just 12 weeks.

I am definitely getting the size 16 trousers out. And the new bras.

Callmejudith · 14/09/2024 12:47

Fantastic loses! Just amazing! I haven’t weighed myself since before holiday I’ve got that horrid mental barrier about it again which I just need to get over!

out for a bottomless brunch today which is going to be interesting! Of the group going I’m probably the biggest drinker but I’m just going to pretend I’m hungover and drink less and have loads of water. Luckily the menu is protein heavy which is great. September has way too many social occasions!

Saw the school mums for coffee yesterday for the first time since July and got told I was looking “very svelte” which was nice!

Well, it finally happened...... a maintain week!!

I'm trying not to be too down about it, or let it spiral me into an eating day, gosh I have to be pragmatic I've lost just over 3 stone in 8 weeks. That would never have happened if not for MJ!!

i measured myself anyway and half an inch off each of all the usual lumpy bits so focusing on that win!

Definitely no being down about it - maybe view it as a positive in terms of stabilisation? 5lb a week is an enormous amount to lose and way above the losses seen in clinical trials so it would feel right that your body would need to settle down?

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 14/09/2024 18:07

You lot are amazing! Your complete strangers, but genuinely pleased for you all!

@QueenEthelTheMagnificent volume loss is just as good as weight loss! Well done.

@Callmejudith bottomless brunch sounds lush

@TheShellBeach amazing, honestly you have lost soooo much!

@JomonotFomo love those new goals. You will smash them

It's either the 7.5 not being strong enough or the cold weather, but noticing I want to eat comfort food a bit more. Thankfully, I am resisting and making better choices. A reminder that I need make conscious decisions and not rely on what my body wants (as it's a total sabateur)!

Didn't catch Voy before they approved my next order, but behold, a mounjaro miracle happened and someone used my code so got 50% off which I was not expecting. Downside is they are sending me another 7.5 (I assumed they would move me to 10 but I asked to stay on 7.5 for a further pen so can see why they did). Have messaged to see if they can change before dispatch.

WheresSummer99 · 14/09/2024 19:31

Had a great victory today my first park run in two years and smashed my own time goal running with a couple friends chatting our way round. Being 2stone lighter made me quicker and more confident it’s so lovely to be getting ME back again after a really crap couple of years.

Jochef · 14/09/2024 19:36

someone called me ‘dinky’ this week.
ive never been dinky in my life!
size 22 to a 12
15mg now, medexpress will let you stay on for the full 2 years.
my life is so different now. I only wish I hadn’t been trapped in my fatness all my life. I’m 55

WheresSummer99 · 14/09/2024 19:51

I’m similar age @Jochef and I’ve gone from a size20 to a 12-14 it’s fab isn’t it well done us. I’ve spent my whole life mostly size 18-20 & 3st overweight I’m short so it really shows.

daffodilandtulip · 15/09/2024 07:19

Back from a fabulous holiday! Jabbed last night, would normally have done the morning so sticking to the routine. Didn't dare to weigh until this morning ... have stayed the same!!! Absolutely amazing when I consider what I've eaten - just goes to show that exercise matters, as I haven't been still all week.

SW 15th June 13st 7lb
CW 11st 7lb

I'm two thirds of the way to my original target (ignoring the cries of BMI charts for me to be 8st 😂) but going below that now seems possible.

I like these goals, I think that I will use them ☺️ - it’s good to have the smaller goals on the way down!

WheresSummer99 · 15/09/2024 07:38

Weigh day and only 0.5lb down I’ve yo-yo around the same weight all week. But over the last 4weeks I’ve dropped 8lbs so I’m happy with the average. I’m moving into a weight category I’ve not been most of my adult life so my body is definitely resisting. My garmin reckoned I’d done 950 exercise calories plus 1450 resting ones (that’s my bmr) I’d eaten 1200c as normal logged everything (so deficit of 800c) I’ve had a few days like this as I’m pretty active yet feeling good but just shows how hard losing this last 14lbs is going to be. My BMI is 27 now and I’m aiming to get it to 25 is I can…

Newme24 · 15/09/2024 07:54

Wow I absolutely love this thread! It's so inspiring. I don't think I've ever been on a weight loss journey with a group of people and everyone's been doing so well! I love reading how everyone is creeping closer to their goals. Proud of everyone on here! Starting in June I didn't have the highest expectations for this. I just didn't believe it would work for me and thought all the videos of people I see talking about it were just adds to make me buy it. I'm now around the half way point before starting and Christmas and I can truly believe I could possibly do another stone by then 13ish weeks I think of the top of my head.

Well I weighed today and finally in the 12's!!
SW 15st 6
CW 12st 13

I think that's like 2.5 stone. Would love to see the 11's for Christmas. That's my current goal. I'm 30.1BMI so I'm very close to getting out of obese and into overweight. Hopefully in the next week or so 🤞

Well done everyone. Let's bring on the next week 🙌

GeorgiePorge · 15/09/2024 09:53

morning everyone.
Such fab losses you are all having.
I'm 13weeks in and after some advice. I've had 3 weeks on 7.5 and was due to take my 4th sat morning. I woke up sat with sulpher burps and dodgy belly... ate 1 piece of toast last night - thought I was recovering and then woke up to most horrendous d&v this morning. I'm now 9 days past jab .. no idea why the really bad side affects and no idea what to do re next jab.

I'm not ready to give up...I have at least 2.5st still to lose - but I can't have another few days like this. I'm lucky it was the weekend and my DP was able to deal with the kids as I can't get out of bed.

I was thinking of skipping a week and then taking a reduced dose of 5mg? idon't mind really slow weight loss as long as it is going down and not up. Anyone had a similar reaction so late after injecting and can offer any advice?
Also any suggestions on how to feel human again and what is best to eat? (Toast is now dead to me).

thanks! x

TheShellBeach · 15/09/2024 11:22

Hi @GeorgiePorge that sounds like a tummy bug, and nothing to do with the MJ.

Did you take loperamide and dimenhydrinate or cyclizine?

Bitezbabe · 15/09/2024 11:45

10 days into my holiday and finding it strange not to know what my weight is doing. Up or down I have no idea. Eating healthily. Making good choices like fish and chicken rather than pasta and chips. Still managing to avoid bread which is like a drug for me. Once I start I can’t stop. I have another 10 days here in sunny Turkey. It’s lovely to feel ‘ slimmer’ than my last visit in June.

GeorgiePorge · 15/09/2024 11:52

hi @TheShellBeach, I would agree it's a tummy bug if it I didn't have these god awful sulphur burps.
I've had 2x lots of MJ side effects early on - but nothing since first moving to 5mg..but the feeling is exactly the same.

I've only ever had sulphur burbs (which for me always end up with vomitting) when on mj or when I took metformin for GD.

I've taken loperamide twice this morning so hope it kicks in soon!
nothing in the house for nausea unfortunately.
