Fuuuuuuck!! That's terrifying doing the proper 360 view. And it turns out my shape from behind is very similar to my older (over weight 😬) brother, right down to head shape (he's a baldy!) 😂

@thesugarbumfairy I love that!! No way am I doing a 360 - I do not need to know what I look like from the back :)

I am lucky in that we have a cheese and yoghurt drawer in the fridge that only me and DS12 use so I can wrap mine up in something random and DS would never ever look at it.

Crap, I've just had a delivery notification that my next pen has arrived and it's been left on the doorstep. Hopefully no one helps themselves to it!

Hi from a long time lurker and congratulations to you all on your amazing weight loss stories !

I started June 23rd ,did my last 2.5 this week and in 3 weeks lost 9lb so I'm chuffed with that. Main side effect was griping constipation so I'm a bit wary of upping to the 5mg pen waiting for me in the fridge. Took a laxative just once which gave me the runs all day so now just drinking orange juice and eating easy peelers . Nice sharp burst of flavour for my jaded palate !

About this 5th dose ,can anyone tell me if it's actually a full dose [ looks like a lot left and only primed 1st jab ] as I don't want to waste it and then I could delay the dreaded 5mg another week.

Hi. The extra dose is actually a little over the 2.5mg.

What's in the pen looks more than it is.

Each dose is 0.6 ml of fluid.

I got 0.8ml out when I extracted the extra dose.

Happycyclist · 16/07/2024 11:28

@CosyNan
I had problems with constipation and initially used prunes (not a great move.. Got the sqits) but then moved to daily All Bran for breakfast.
Works for me.

Callmejudith · 16/07/2024 11:39

I'll be doing my extra dose tomorrow and really hoping for 0.8 as a last push before we go off to a wedding next week.

Just had a comment from a colleague that my face is looking slimmer whoop

CosyNan · 16/07/2024 11:45

So 0.8 would be 3 point something ? Maths not my strong point but 3 + is a good stepping stone before the dose doubles and maybe fewer side effects moving up to the 5mg.

I'll get in my tool box and find the pliers !

Yes I believe so (am also not good with maths). I've been very very stingy with my priming so hoping for a good amount.

I just did my bonus dose and got 0.8ml - more than 2.5 but less than 5. I'm actually planning to stick on 2.5 for my next pen but figured waste not, want not so did the full bonus dose injection. I was able to just do a hard twist with my hands to get it out, it was less effort than I'd anticipate.

Scales still stalled out at around where they've been for the past 10 days so need to refocus my attention on plenty of water, fibre and protein and hopefully things will get moving again.

TheShellBeach · 16/07/2024 12:14

Sorry, I should have been clearer.

0.8ml from a 2.5mg pen is 3.33mg of Mounjaro

CosyNan · 16/07/2024 12:20

Ah great ,thanks x My jab not due til the weekend but do you think I could try to get it to the 1 now then put the needle on when it's jab time or will it leak ?

It won't leak.
I used an insulin syringe and withdrew it via the bung.

No messing about with clicks. But I was a midwife so I'm used to needles and syringes.

CosyNan · 16/07/2024 12:27

I made a mess of my first jab ,bent the needle and scratched my leg so a bit wary of using another syringe ,shame as it sounds a lot easier and able to measure the exact amount you get out too.

Thanks for your help

Trytowin20 · 16/07/2024 12:44

Not logged on in a while, I have a 7.5 pen waiting in the fridge. I have had 3 doses of the 5, next one I'm going to do the 5 then what ever extra I managed to get out (I only got a tiny bit out of the 2.5). On holiday next week so not quite sure what I'm doing yet. But if I follow the same pattern we're due home Friday anyhoo. Will probably wait til I return rather than carry the pen.

Next dose Thursday evening after work.

I have lost 6.6kg/ stone according to nutracheck medals. 😁 I only use it to track my weight so free member

Original 111kg
Currently 104.4kg as of Sunday.
First goal weight is 99.8kg (I'm doing smaller targets) I'm only short so I should be lower than that iyswim.

CosyNan · 16/07/2024 12:57

Well done on your weight loss ,isn't it lovely seeing those scales go down !

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 16/07/2024 12:58

Bloody hell that me360 is horrific!
Why did I do it?
And why didn't I do it at the start so I could see the difference now?!? 😂

Oooo can I ask a syringe question? I've seen a couple of posts that you shouldn't just extract the bonus dose into the syringe and then inject it but you should move it to another syringe - do I need to do that? And how on earth do I do that?

ChynaS · 16/07/2024 13:28

Week 4 of the 2.5 today and my appetite is so low. I now realise my weight is down to portion size. I love not being able to eat everything on my plate. Even my protein shake meal replacement at lunch is getting difficult to finish.

SW: 101.4kg
CW: 98.6kg

You don't need to move it to another syringe, but some people change the needle.

It's been a debate among nurses forever. Some say that you blunt the needle slightly when you stick it through a bung. But it's such a tiny needle anyway, and most people don't feel it going into their skin.

I don't change the needle personally. You can angle it a little when you inject if it's got a bit bent.

Don't think I would dare do that 360 thing - you're all very brave.

But a big NSV today (though tmi I'm sorry) - I've been wearing the most horrid saggy old pants for years, and not been able to fit into a set of new ones that I bought optimistically a few years back but were too tight. They're now perfect - perhaps even a little loose - so I can throw out the horrid ones and I don't even have to spend any more!

Yay!

I've realised that my trusty size 24 knickers are loose.

Time to delve into the drawer for some smaller ones.

What's the 360 thing?

Callmejudith · 16/07/2024 13:41

Thanks so much @TheShellBeach that makes perfect sense. I had visions of me squirting the precious elixir all over the place trying to change things around.

I was thinking my knickers are too big today as well! I've been wearing huge high waisted granny pants and they need to go! I do like something I can pull over my belly though

TheShellBeach · 16/07/2024 14:00

Same! Good old reliable Sloggi.

achangeofnameisasgoodasarest · 16/07/2024 14:29

@TheShellBeach - this I think.
