Week 6 weigh in and down another kg.

Overall in six weeks down 11kg or
1 stone and 10 and a little quarter pound

Hoping to break into 16 stone something range next week !

Still feeling not so good , sulphur burps , tiredness and strangely a really sore arm thinking I might drop back to 2.5

Callmejudith · 14/07/2024 07:04

@CoastalCalm thats a brilliant loss. Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great though. Are you getting enough calories in?

Thanks so much ! Yes I’m not struggling to eat at all so averaging about 1400 calories a day. I have some background health issues which may be impacting but so far the weight loss is outweighing the yuck

Summerheels · 14/07/2024 07:28

Weigh in day today slightly sad to have stalled this week still over a 4 week period I’ve lost 11lbs with
wk 1 - 6lbs off
wk 2 - 3lbs off
wk 3 - 2lbs off
wk 4 - held

I’m off for a run now after a week away to try kick start that metabolism yet again and then I inject later so I can recover having a lazy Sunday afternoon. Next week really hope to see a 11st..something on the scales as so tantalising close to losing that first stone! Then 2 more to go..

Callmejudith · 14/07/2024 07:35

Pen two has shipped and it was a freebie as 3 people used my code - what a result!

Newme24 · 14/07/2024 08:03

So have just finished my 2nd 5mg pen and another 3lbs gone. So so happy. I felt like I was stalling so much. I'm definitely eating much less though these days and have really upped the exercise since starting this as I'm hoping to just improve my strength and fitness too. Actually really enjoying this side of it more than I ever have before. Maybe it's that I'm not constantly obsessing over food and being on a diet that I feel like I have more headspace to make the changes?

Anyway hoping for a decent loss this coming week so I can get down into the 13 stones. I can't remember the last time I was in the 13 stones. Very exciting. 🤞

SW 15.6 Stone
CW 14.1 Stone
GW 10 stone

Total loss after 6 pens 19lbs
4 x 2.5
2 x 5

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

JomonotFomo · 14/07/2024 08:47

@Newme24 I am hoping to see a 13 on the scales this week too! I was 14.1 on Friday…. I am probably jinxing it just thinking that 😂
Start weight was 15.12 6wks ago.

@Callmejudith thats fabulous! A free pen!

@CoastalCalm I have stuck at 3.75 again this week, I still had horrible side effects last week on 3.75 but not as bad as the previous week on 5mg, I am so hoping that I’ve got used to it a bit this week. I have started taking vitamins and actimel this week too. I hope you feel better!

@Summerheels ive not had a stay the same or gain yet but I am sure I will at some point on this journey. It is disappointing, but I’m sure next week will be better.

Callmejudith · 14/07/2024 08:49

@Summerheels and @Newme24 well done! @Summerheels enjoy your run!

Ive always enjoyed the gym but definitely just used it as a way to (badly) balance my food intake. Since MJ that noise has all gone so I’m really loving just fuelling my body to train and not the other way around. Also wearing a gym top this morning that I’ve not worn in 5 years!! There is a horrid man here making sex noises though - so unnecessary

JomonotFomo · 14/07/2024 08:52

Unexpected side effect. Self care!
I have always had minimal interest in make up, hair etc, how i look, possibly because it’s always been overwhelmed by food and weight noise, and more recently a feeling of being fat, mid forties and invisible but I’ve found myself taking more of a effort and enjoyment in stuff. I’ve booked my first hairdresser appointment in about 8yrs!

JomonotFomo · 14/07/2024 08:54

@Callmejudith ew to the sex noises! Great about the top though!

Newme24 · 14/07/2024 09:12

@JomonotFomo oh wow that's fantastic loses!! You must be over the moon. Keeping my fingers crossed for the 13's for you too 🤞🤞🤞 lots of positive thinking. You're obviously doing something right, amazing work. X

Newme24 · 14/07/2024 09:15

@JomonotFomo also totally agree! I have completely changed my mindset with how I present myself. I just recently had my hair done for the first time In forever. I paint my nails now and do lots of skincare and invested in some smaller clothes. The 16's are fitting very comfortably. Have t gone mad just some cheap trousers and active wear from vinted but it's made such a difference. Someone commented on how fresh I was looking on the school run the other day. Made me feel good xx enjoy your hair appointment

coffeeandteav · 14/07/2024 10:20

Week 1 -8 15.8
Week 2-3
Week 3 -2
Week 4-4
Week 5-5 14.0
Week 6 -2 13.12

Weigh in day lost another two. I am losing it the first few days of feeling sick. Then maintaining when I can eat again.

Yesterday I couldn't even stomach a coffee. A bit better today.

Summerheels · 14/07/2024 11:16

@Callmejudith that’s fab about the gym top but not the perv. I actually had to tighten my running leggings up this morning. And interestingly the extra carbs yesterday resulted in my fastest run for a few weeks. So my body does need more carbs to fuel exercise I just need to keep tweaking the amount. I actually had to stop & buy banana as I was feeling light headed & my heart rate was higher than normal. It’s very strange my resting heart is lower than pre-MJ but my exercising one is noticeably higher. I do most of my exercise first thing in the morning fasted as that suits me but I did need some sugar or carbs this morning. My body just doesn’t like getting its energy from fat! It certainly needs re-training.

Summerheels · 14/07/2024 11:17

@coffeeandteav thats a brilliant loss. I like seeing others trajectory it’s interesting to see how we are all different. I’m hoping for a whoosh next week… just want to get that first stone off as it’s SO significant in my head.

Summerheels · 14/07/2024 11:21

@JomonotFomo its lovely that we feel we value ourselves more as we lose weight but it’s sad too that we are all (including myself) conditioned by society to feel that way when heavier. Honestly the impact of this drug on myself has really highlighted to me that I do have a missing “hormone” in my gut that processes sugar in the same way as my DH & DD1, as they both just see food=fuel whereas I’ve always struggled in my relationship with sugar things and I can see my youngest DD does too especially since her tween hormones kicked in. I hope you continue to feel lovely.

fairydust11 · 14/07/2024 11:25

Well done on all the losses 👏
I have weighed in for week 4 and over the course of the last month have lost 11lb! I am very happy with that!

Although unfortunately for me, I have been so tired & run down the whole month I honestly don’t know if I can continue like this.
I bought a 5mg pen with the view to go up to 3.75, but now I am actually thinking of taking less than I have the past month & halving my 2.5 to 1.25mg in order to minimise the complete & utter tiredness.

Has anyone taken such a low dose other than maintenance & if so does it do anything? My thinking is if I took half the dose for a month I might possibly loose half of what I have lost this month & then I can step things back up in a few weeks again once I have my energy back & I’m feeling ok.

I know having such a low dose might not work. I want to take it as it works, but I just can’t function on the 2.5 dose as I am tired the whole week even though I am eating enough & taking electrolyte drinks daily.

I feel the same, 3rd injection of 2.5mg Friday, and still feeling absolutely exhausted since my first ever dose 3 weeks ago.
I'm having between 1400 and 1600 cals a day, so eating enough so I think it must be the mounjaro.

Not sure I will be carrying on which is a shame as I have one dose left of this pen and a 5mg in the fridge

Callmejudith · 14/07/2024 12:35

@fairydust11 and @cappycap the tiredness sounds dreadful I’m sorry you’re experiencing that. I think trying 1.25 is a good idea actually.

TheShellBeach · 14/07/2024 12:41

Wow, today I feel so full. Really uncomfortable after my usual breakfast.

I'm due my fourth dose on Tuesday of 2.5mg.

The 5mg pen has arrived from Medino.

I can't imagine eating dinner tonight at all.

This is the first time I've felt like this.

Thank you. Yes the first stone is major and every new front numbers after that.

fairydust11 · 14/07/2024 12:42

@cappycap sorry to hear you’re also feeling the same.
@Callmejudith thanks, I’m hopeful that might be the solution for me 🙏.

SwiftPeak · 14/07/2024 13:22

@Summerheels we really are following a very similar pattern!

I'm about to take the 5th 'bonus' dose, I watched a really clear video this morning on the Facebook group about how to do it.

Fed up to have stalled completely, haven't lost a thing this last week but have to remind myself that I've had a good loss overall so far:

1st week: 6lb
2nd week: 5lb
3rd week: 3lb
4th week: 0 loss

SW: 13st
CW: 12st
GW: 10st

Bitezbabe · 14/07/2024 14:21

Started in June. Had 3 doses and have lost 12lbs. Been following this thread and thought I’d join in as I’m sure I’ll have questions. Lovely to see such a supportive group.

TheShellBeach · 14/07/2024 15:04

Oh my tummy hurts a bit today. I haven't had any side-effects till now.
