My stomach really is NOT happy at the moment😩 First two weeks I had that ‘full’ sort of bunged up feeling but for the last 9 days I’ve been completely the opposite with this morning being the worst and having to stay very close to a toilet.

TMI WARNING - Not sure having everything I eat leave my body as liquid is how I want to lose weight😬 Was feeling fairly confident about moving up to 5 next week but having second thoughts now!

Take some loperamide.

(Generic Imodium)

You can get it at any chemist. You can also get it on Amazon. I bought some yesterday and it was only about £5 for 36 capsules.

TheShellBeach · 12/07/2024 10:32

I'm so happy that the scales told me I was 16st 12lb this morning.

That's a loss of 14lb in 2 weeks.

And at last, the scales no longer start with a 17!

I've taken my third 2.5mg dose.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 12/07/2024 10:34

@TheShellBeach thanks. Might take half and see if it works. Generally, it stops me going for days but this is a bit of an emergency 😩
Now to see if I can get out of the house safely…

If it's that bad I'd take 4mg, which is 2 capsules.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 12/07/2024 10:37

@TheShellBeach WHOOP WHOOP! Congratulations! Feels good, doesn’t it?!

That's the dose on the box! You take 4mg to start with, then another 2mg every time you have diarrhoea.

Yay. We've crossed over to 16 stone something together.
Well done. Brilliant losses for you so far.
So nice to find someone else at a similar weight.

Week 5 just starting, about to have 5mg for the first time. I don't look much different but my knees are definitely hurting less, and the joint pain was the reason I started this journey. Not sure if I should have stuck to 2.5.

KittenSitten · 12/07/2024 11:09

Not had a period yet though! 🫣

Callmejudith · 12/07/2024 11:35

@Snozzlemaid Whoop for the next stone bracket - amazing

@JomonotFomo that's bloody amazing!

@IReallyNeedThisToWork that sounds really awful. I'm not sure you should move up to 5 tbh.

@TheShellBeach whooooooop. So many good losses this morning!

@KittenSitten another one to whoop for this this bloody great

I met a friend for coffee this morning and she immediately commented on my cheekbones! She is a nurse and said that she and one of the doctors at work had been looking at MJ and she's really tempted. It was soooo hard not to blurt it out that I'm already on it. She cannot keep a secret though!

BirdyandBee · 12/07/2024 12:27

Can I have some recommendations for electrolytes to add to my water, and is anyone using any vitamins to help with their hair? When I’ve done diets before my hair has started falling out, and I can’t bear to do it again!

Loving this thread and checking in everyday keeps me accountable!

Did my 3rd 2.5mg dose last night and currently 6lbs down- very happy!

SW 12st 12lb
CW 12st 5.8lb
GW somewhere around the low 10st mark

SwiftPeak · 12/07/2024 12:33

My weight loss has completely stalled. I lost a stone in 3.5 weeks, but for this last week I've lost barely a pound! Hoping it picks up again. I'm not eating any more than I was. I'm not drinking enough either though, so I'm going to increase my water intake and hope to start losing again.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 12/07/2024 12:46

@BirdyandBee Congratulations on the losses!

I take biotin and zinc from Nutrition Geeks for hair and nails (was even before MJ as my grey hair is a different texture so I worry about that thinning even more!).
I have just started taking True Hydration from Ancient and Brave which is electrolytes and minerals. Doesn't taste overly pleasant but not too bad.

I’m prioritising protein and taking Viviscal (not the cheapest so I’m taking 1 tab a day rather than the recommended 2) and also taking collagen powder daily. Other than that, I'm hoping that not losing weight too quickly should help too. And keeping my fingers crossed.

Snozzlemaid · 12/07/2024 13:42

Took my first 5mg dose on Wednesday and appetite suppression is hitting hard today.
Not yet eaten and really didn't fancy anything for lunch. Finally decided on 2 poached eggs on a slice of toast and my god, I struggled to eat it. Couldn't finish all the toast and didn't enjoy it at all.

I'm looking forward to the 5mg dose.

We'll be on holiday then. It'll be weird, not eating crap for a week.

Snap - 16st 12 today as well!

A little less lost here (9.5lbs) in a little more time but it's nice to see a different starting number (although I weigh in kgs so only noticed the change when I converted it now to check).

Callmejudith · 12/07/2024 14:54

4th dose done - I seem to have loads left in the pen for my bonus dose next week

It looks more than it is, I think.

It'll just be another 0.6ml.

Lynsey14 · 12/07/2024 17:26

First 4 weeks on 2.5 over!

SW 13st 3.5
WI 12st 5.5
GW 10st 6lb

12lbs down in 4 weeks is a level I’ve never lost at before, I have always been painfully slow at losing weight so I am delighted!
First jab of 5 tomorrow, I’m a bit nervous!!!!!

TheShellBeach · 12/07/2024 17:58

Well done @Lynsey14

Summerheels · 12/07/2024 18:53

Well done @Lynsey14 that’s a great loss. On the main thread others have done a stepping week counting pen clicks to do 3.75mg instead of doubling dose or sticking at 2.5mg of their losing ok.
I’m not sure I want to go full 5mg on Sunday so thinking of counting clicks as I’ve been quite happy on 2.5mg, but may try 3mg.
