@Summerheels oh I'm so looking forward to a dress size! I'm on holiday in September and my aim is to be able to wear my lovely dresses that now don't fit, and not have to shop for bigger ones!

I’m away at the end of Aug/Sep too and desperately want to fit into my ‘slim’ clothes rather than take my ‘fat’ ones which are already a bit big 😁 Good luck!

TheShellBeach · 06/07/2024 11:11

I was surprised last night.
We went out for my birthday dinner and I didn't fancy a starter. I just didn't feel I'd have room for it.

We'd pre-ordered a chateaubriand so I knew there was a big main course coming.

My dinner was mainly meat and about ten chips and a side salad.

DH and I took a third of the meat home because we couldn't finish it. I'll make a stir fry with it.

Had an affogato and half a bottle of champagne.

It was a lovely dinner!

Callmejudith · 06/07/2024 11:40

@daffodilandtulip there's no better feeling that jeans fitting well!

@IReallyNeedThisToWork the thought of a curry makes me feel a bit nauseous!

@GoingforitJune24 I think it's the calories. 800 a day is really not much at all to sustain you especially if you're active. Could you drink some calories instead?

@coffeeandteav that's another great loss. Sorry to hear the 5ml is still hitting hard though. Fingers crossed it settles a bit this weekend.

@TheShellBeachthat sounds bloody lovely especially the steak!

I'm also away end of August. By the time I go I'll be 10 weeks in so really hoping to be in my denim shorts! I have 3 pairs of various sizes and the middle pair would be absolutely amazing.

We were supposed to have a community bbq thing today but cancelled because of the rain. Can't say I'm too gutted since there would have been a lot of food on offer. We will go out later to watch the footy but I've worked out I can have a couple of kopperbergs and enjoy them.

Hi, I injected 2.5 mounjaro yesterday evening for the first time, I’ve never used any of these drugs before. I followed all the instructions and all went as planned, injected into left thigh. I’m normally sick, annoyingly, at every opportunity - cars, rides, boats, pregnancy etc but I feel completely normal today! I don’t feel hungry but that might be all in my head! Has anyone else felt like this when taking it at the beginning? I’m wondering if I actually did inject anything!

hoarahloux · 06/07/2024 12:01

A nice NSV today - I found a Collectif dress in my wardrobe that has literally never fit me, like never been able to get the zip even halfway up kind of not fitting. It fits! It's a bit tight in the waist but in a couple more kg it'll be perfect. I'm over the moon but also a bit gutted that it's a 20 and I don't really plan to stay a size 20 for that long!

Callmejudith · 06/07/2024 12:03

@Myownname yes exactly the same. I was expecting to be sick, stomach ache, burps the lot and all I had was not feeling hungry! It's a very very odd feeling.

@hoarahloux whooooop that's great!

Hi there.
That's exactly how I felt, and I was convinced that I hadn't injected anything, but I'm on day four now and something is definitely happening.

Megarea · 06/07/2024 15:07

Slightly weird having had no reaction to previous injections, I've now got a red, slightly itchy patch at the site I injected the second 5mg dose.
Anyone else had this?

I wasn't convinced that I'd had my first dose, but three days later, there's a tiny raised red area where I injected it.
I am sure that's normal; as a retired nurse, I'd say that that was nothing to worry about.

I'm guessing it happens to most people.

TheShellBeach · 06/07/2024 17:14

We're watching the football this evening, so I served dinner early.

I had a dive in the freezer for a batch-cooked moussaka.
DH and I made it a few weeks ago.

Anyway - it was a small helping and I couldn't finish it.

That has never happened to me before. I just felt really full after eating half of it.

Thanks @TheShellBeach - I remember reading that some people had a reaction at the injection site but was confused I'd had no issues until the 6th time.
However I've read around a bit since I posted and found quite a few posts of people who had no issues until they went to a higher dose. I agree with you nothing to worry about just vaguely annoying!

Sewfrickinamazeballs · 06/07/2024 18:36

@coffeeandteav fantastic losses! Well done. 5mg is hitting hard since I dosed Thursday. Tired, feeling VERY full and a bit icky.

@GoingforitJune24 agree with others, 800 cals is quite low, but I am feeling super tired too.

@daffodilandtulip amazing! Small wins are the best motivation.

@Tirzepatide well done, great progress.

@hoarahloux nice! What a great feeling that must have been.

Sneaky weigh in today and lost a bit more already this week. I am just starting to feel the difference in my body now which is so odd, I'm so used to being fat!

@GoingforitJune24 i agree try get a few more calories in somehow the lack of energy fuel in your body could be contributing to it. I was feeling very tired and hungry the last two days. I upped my calories by 250 so not much but enough to help and interesting I then lost another 1lb. I think my body had gone into “starving holding onto body fat” mode for a few days.

Summerheels · 06/07/2024 19:36

@Megarea i had same experience within a couple of hours it felt like my sugar craving gene had been switched off.

JomonotFomo · 07/07/2024 07:22

still no side effects on 3.75 🤞

I weigh everyday so was excited to see I’m under 200lb now! 198,4 to be precise! Hopefully this will be a good week!

mandarindreams · 07/07/2024 07:23

After feeling like I was spinning my wheels a bit with no real progress on the scales, I had a big 1kg whoosh down this morning! I suspect the fact that my period has now finished has something to do with it, but I'll take it.

4kg down in just under three weeks, this medicine is truly amazing!

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 07/07/2024 07:33

Congratulations @JomonotFomo and @mandarindreams . Great losses.
It certainly works. It would be amazing to have the food noise switch turned off permanently. Helping me so much.

JomonotFomo · 07/07/2024 07:42

@CrystaltipsnoAlistair definitely, I absolutely love the freedom of no food or alcohol noise. I’ve not had a drink since the end of May and again not missing it at all.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 07/07/2024 07:47

@JomonotFomo me too. Not had a drink in months. Zero interest. Just makes me tired anyway drinking wine etc. Am out for dinner today and be happy with water. Weird. But all good 👍

Callmejudith · 07/07/2024 08:10

@JomonotFomo and @mandarindreams thats great!

Im off to the gym for to do some big squats in my new shorts - feeling good

fairydust11 · 07/07/2024 09:53

@JomonotFomo & @mandarindreams well done, great losses.

I have just weighed in for week 3 & have lost 4lb so in total have lost 9lb since starting 3 weeks ago! I’m very happy considering I only lost 1lb in my first week!

A quick question, I know it’s not supposed to matter what time of the day you take it, but I usually take in mornings & then feel really tired for a few days after - I’m thinking maybe of taking it before bedtime instead, does anyone take it later in the day & not feel as tired? I know this might not work for me & tiredness might just be something I’m more prone too, but was wondering what times of day most of you took yours.

CoastalCalm · 07/07/2024 09:56

Week 5 weigh in and 9.9kg down - going to try and have a wee to get to 10kg 😃 this week I’ve lost just over 2lb which I’m ok about as not been feeling well and rather than proper meals there’s been a lot of grazing

SwiftPeak · 07/07/2024 10:05

Amazing to read the losses on here! Well done everyone! I've ended up only posting once a week on weigh in day but I need to revisit this thread more often, it's so inspiring. My weight loss is slowing down, which was probably inevitable, but I'm taking the 4th dose today and feel like I'm getting into good habits 🤞🏻

Overall weightloss: 1 stone 🥳
1st week: 6lb
2nd week: 5lb
3rd week: 3lb

I've been taking mine mid-morning (because I keep my pen at work 🙈) but I've been quite lucky to not really struggle with side effects too much. I've heard plenty of people say they take it in the evening to sleep through the worst of the initial effects though!
