Is anyone starting Mounjaro in June?

My pen has just been delivered so I'm thinking to start this evening, I am in the office the rest of the week so not sure if waiting until Friday eve/Sat morn would be best? I'm 5'4 and around 13.7 stone :)

Few days in and not eating as I usually would.
No tummy rumbling. Was v hot in bed last night.
So far so good

This is my second day and it's 12.44 and I've not eaten at all yet

Now I usually do intermittent fasting so wouldn't eat til 12 but I'd be hungry by the time I went to eat

Not intentionally but lack of food will do it to me.

I'm on week 2 of 2.5mg and haven't lost anything yet 😫

Hi all!

I started MJ on Saturday and am pleased with how it’s going so far. The ‘food noise’ (great description) has quietened and I am making healthy choices. I have no desire to eat the sweets/crisps etc I usually crave. I hope this continues! I have around 3 stone to lose.

I have a few questions if anyone can help!

1.	I chose Voy as the first pen seemed to be the cheapest. It seems that their prices then jump. Can anyone recommend a more ‘budget friendly’ option for a 5mg pen?

2.	Voy was also quite a hassle-free sign up. I didn’t need to give GP details, just driving licence pic and a photo. Is it easy to switch to a new provider? As I (hopefully) start to lose weight and my BMI lowers, will it be harder to get my prescription approved?

3.	Long term - I presume that I will stop the injections once I reach my desired weight (I can’t see that the online pharmacies would prescribe it for a ‘normal’ BMI?). I know this a way down the line - but I don’t want my eating habits to return to previous patterns! I would say that sadly I have a food addition and MJ is giving me peace from it (I should really change my MN name!)

I've been on it a couple of days, too. First night I had bad acid reflux and then the next morning my mouth tasted foul. I have eaten but nothing like what I would have had. Usually I have a glass of wine at night but haven't even thought of it. It's taken my mind off food. I'm eating healthy food three times a day but if you took my plate away I wouldn't care, really.

Is anyone listening to podcasts or watching YouTube videos? I've been listening to Ana McKenna on Spotify and also Positively Midlife Podcast. Presenters on each have been using these injectables for a while now - they're very interesting.

I'm sure you are. I'm convinced of it. Either you're shrinking or you need to eat more so that you weigh more so that you can lose it!

I've finally taken the plunge and ordered today. Not sure how long it will take to arrive but excited to start.
Getting rid of the food noise would be amazing! I'm constantly thinking about snacks, crisps, chocolate, nuts and sweets and think nothing of eating them every evening. I also eat chocolate after lunch too. I've dieter with some success but it just swaps one kind of food noise for another, tracking calories, working out what I can eat etc
I just want to cut out most of the the trap, eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. Hopefully this will be able to do it.
I've ordered on medexpress. Someone asked about when bmi is lower do they stop prescribing and for medexpress at least their faqs say you cam continue for 2 years at your optimum dose

I've been enjoying reading everyone's stories on this thread.
I officially started in May but joined this thread as I thought it would take longer than it did to get delivered.
I'm just coming to the end of my first week and it's been really good. I've eaten such small amounts all week compared to what I usually eat. Had a constant nice full stomach feeling and have had no desire to snack on crisps and chocolate.
I'm due to inject my second dose tomorrow and I can definitely notice the effects wearing off slightly today. Gave more thought to a packet of crisps earlier than I have all week and I've not filled up so quickly with the evening meal I've just eaten. So I'm glad I can top up with my next dose tomorrow.
Looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow morning - watch this space for a loss on week one hopefully.

Has anyone managed to get Mounjaro via NHS? I really can't afford it and am T2 diabetic, BMI 40+ and have a heart condition along with hypertension but my GP (2 different ones) have refused to prescribe it.

Also can you take Metformin with it or do you stop that?

Day 4. Had my tea iand wolfed it down amd I could have eaten more. I am trying to eat more mindfully but old habits..

However once finished I didn't get anything else. Did some housework and totally forgot about heating.

Not hungry now at all. I could eat but nothing is calling me.

@Type2whattodo I think if you see your doctor you may well find you get it on the NHS. I'm not sure but I have heard it's difficult to get it prescribed just for weight loss but OK for T2 diabetes.

I also have sausage fingers and should proofread.
