I tried to eat breakfast (greek yoghurt and strawberries) but only managed to each about a tablespoon of the yoghurt. This is so unheard of for me, I would usually eat a huge bowlful with muesli too. Lunch was soup and some ham and cheese. I don't feel hungry. I would normally starving at this point in the afternoon.

@coffeandteav I'm liking the sound of your cottage cheese lunch. I might get some tomorrow.

Langley farm is delicious and has 20g of protein per pot.

LiveLoveLifeForever · 03/06/2024 17:10

Day 3 today, coffee with milk and just water this morning. Salmon salad for lunch and just had an apple with a teaspoon of peanut butter. I have some Mediterranean veg to roast for tea and will probably have chicken with it. Not particularly hungry but want to eat well when I do.

vikingpooboat · 03/06/2024 17:26

Day 3 for me, and I'm constipated up to my eyeballs 🤣 taken some ducolax and drinking apple juice to get things moving. I've had 2 slices of brown toast today, and I've got a gym kitchen meal for tea if I can stomach it

JomonotFomo · 03/06/2024 18:00

I started Saturday. Currently weighing in at 16st with a bmi of over 35. Top end healthy weight would be 11st4, so that’s what I’m aiming for.

I was using saxenda last year and it was the best thing ever, turned the food noise off, made me feel full (something I’ve never naturally felt even as a child) made me think this must be what it’s like to be a healthy weight/food relationship. lost 2stone and slowly put it back on again when stocks got low.

Back to the present…

I was trying really hard not to eat anything “wrong” but today I’ve started the sulphur burps and just had diarrhoea. Would anyone mind looking at what I’ve eaten for improvement?

saturday post jab;
chicken salad. Balsamic dressing

Sunday
30g porridge with water and a tsp of unsweetened peanut butter and an apple. Ate half.

Tuna (no drain in sunflower) salad. Just leaves and carrot and cucumber.

beef brisket in bbq sauce and salad. Husband made it so felt I should eat it. It was lean but in a sauce.

Today:
Half a boiled egg and half a protein bagel.

apple

i didn’t have lunch as I felt scared that I might have diarrhoea at work because the burps had started! so I’m thinking the beef was too rich?

mrsbyers · 03/06/2024 18:22

I’m still getting food noise but finding making healthier snack choices so much more natural

Had coffee and a rice cake when I got up

chopped salad with M&S mango chicken and cottage cheese for lunch

boiled egg and a peach for snacks

tonight is Cajun chicken in a protein wrap with more salad

Tinytigertail · 03/06/2024 18:52

Sorry to hijack, my BMI is 29.5, do all sites require you to be at 30?

Hex99 · 03/06/2024 19:30

Day 3 - didn't think it was doing anything but have just realised I've not craved any sweet stuff all day. Normally after dinner I'd get really strong sugar cravings but tonight... nothing.
I could eat it - I don't feel full but I just don't feel I need it

mrsbyers · 03/06/2024 20:19

I’ve had three large strawberries , evening is my worst time for sweet snacks !

Papergirl1968 · 03/06/2024 20:19

I went shopping at Aldi and bought some more grapes and satsumas. I don’t eat much fruit and no veg so that’s a big change for me.
I also brought protein bagels, half and half sandwich thins, seeded bread, and three of their protein deserts. I’ve had a chocolate one tonight and it was lovely and very filling.
Today I’ve had two rounds of thin wholemeal toast at about 7.30am, a skinny whip bar at about noon as I couldn’t have lunch due to work and other commitments, breaded cod and oven chips at about 4pm, and the protein desert at about 6.30. Not the most healthy dinner but overall way less than I would eat pre Mounjaro.
I’ve also swopped coffee and fizzy drinks for water and milk and that had stopped my urge incontinence, which was becoming a bit of a problem (sorry for tmi).
It is a novelty not to be feeling hungry all the time and to have to remind myself to eat.
I just need the scales to start moving now and my clothes to start feeling looser.

LaurieFairyCake · 03/06/2024 20:59

Day 1

Just ate some salted nuts and a gin and tonic 😂

Blushh · 03/06/2024 21:22

End of Day 1 and I'm feeling good! I had some nausea earlier and felt tired as I've been under the weather lately (completely unrelated to Mounjaro), so ended up having a nap during my lunch break (I work from home) and woke up feeling completely fine. I had a protein yoghurt for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, an apple for a snack and then dinner which I only managed to eat half my usual portion size of and I still feel full.

I had quite a late dinner and was amazed that having a snack of an apple was enough to tide me over in the meantime. Before that would have made me starving, my blood sugar would have dropped and I'd have been feeling shaky and weak (and I don't even have diabetes!)

coffeandteav · 03/06/2024 21:32

I have not has a single stomach growl. This is unheard of.

Had a tiny bit of reflux before but nothing major.

Househunter · 03/06/2024 22:11

Hi all, I’m new to all this. I’ve just ordered Mounjaro through Chemist 4 U but there’s no confirmation email. Does anyone know if it takes a while to come through?

Newme24 · 03/06/2024 23:27

Wow so many of us already feeling satisfied quicker. This is so great. I've had no junk today either. It's been refreshing to not have the fridge or snack cupboard open every half hour for something to graze on.

Breakfast protein bagel with a little light lurpack. Lunch was a pepperami and babybel light with a few little shreds of chicken from the chicken yesterday. Dinner was nasi goering and I barely ate half. One latte tonight and I'm feeling good. 😊

No not had that. But I do get it when walking a long way.

Day 4 felt queasy this morning. Had a stomach ache last night like I had eaten too much. Not too bad though that I can't work or anything.

Btrsun10 · 04/06/2024 08:24

Good luck everyone. I love reading everyone's stories. Helps keep me going.

I started last week on Monday and my week has been strange.
I'd a cold when I started so was feeling a bit crap but knew I just had to get on with it or I never would!
Anyway, I'd no side effects and no lack of appetite sadly. I did try to make good food choices, drank a bit more water than normal (not great at this anyway so my increasing still only takes me to about 1lt a day!) and upped my protein (a bit).

I was hungry in the evenings but managed to resist crisps and chocolate most of the week but did give in a couple of times - much much less than normal. Not through lack of hunger of willpower, more the absolute dread of spending so much money to not have a result!

I am definitely not a super responder, that much is clear!
However, upon weighing in, it looks like i've 3lbs off. Not as much as others but I'm pretty happy with it.

If anyone is looking a code to get started, here's my Voy code which give us both some discount.

Day 4, felt a bit hungrier this morning, more like a normal pre MJ day waking up. Only water and coffee so far as I wouldn’t eat this early anyway, usually 10.30 at the earliest.

Trytowin20 · 04/06/2024 09:17

Thought I'd check in. Over half way through first week. Not had many side affects at all maybe one headache and maybe slightly more tired but on the other side my mind isn't constantly whirring. Regretting my shit home scale so now I have no idea if scale, or loss iyswim.

I have an interesting reaction, most here seem to be struggling to eat but I'm not (is that good or bad!) that said I am eating less, not snacking either. I'm eating a normal portion. Not my normal but around normal iyswim.

I take mine Thursday night after my day in the office (just in case!) 2nd dose will be this week

Can I ask, what is the cost of the pen if I use your code? Without going through the sign up process I cant figure out what the cost will be. Thanks :)

Hi Sassy,

It works out at a 50% discount, so £114 ish.
Voy are definitely not the cheapest but for the 1st pen they are cheapest by far with the code.
Good luck

coffeandteav · 04/06/2024 11:32

mrsbyers · 04/06/2024 11:48

People mentioning ketosis and I’m really concerned as I don’t want that as could damage my health - are you going no carb ?
