I received my Mounjaro this morning took my first shot so excited

I am on my second day and feel amazing! I have done a month of wegovy and lost nothing at all and was so sick the whole month. But munjaro feels so much better already. My hunger is completely gone, just had some tomatoes on toast at 12pm and it was a struggle to finish as I just wasnt hungry! Looking forward to this thread!

I started first dose on Thursday and no significant side effects - just a few burps and slight headache on Friday but last night and today my mouth is watering slightly - it's really odd. I've had a look around and it seems while a lot of people get a dry mouth, some of us end up with excess saliva! Anyone else found the same?
If this is as bad as it gets I'll take it happily in exchange for feeling full and satisfied on smaller portions!

Im the same. Day 2/3. No side effects. Not hungry which I would have been had I previously eaten what Ive eaten the last couple of days. But Im not exactly full. I definetly dont need more food but I could eat. So I am going to have to ignore my habitual toast eating cues or wine drinking Saturday night routine. Part of me thinks its a bit psychosomatic at present

Not sure if it's because I been drinking water alot but I am so thirsty and my mouth/throat/lips is still dry. I am on day one so wondering if this is all in my head. I have noticed my desire for snacking has gone down, but again wondering if it's in my head. I'll know when I go gym tomorrow cause that defo spikes my appetite

@sabzino ohh same! My mouth feels drier and I can't stop going to the toilet because I'm drinking so much water. I haven't snacked at all today and normally I definitely would especially as food shopping arrived this morning. Don't know if it's me trying to be good or if I really am just not thinking about the food today. I'm stocked up on electrolytes & constipation medicine after watching a few people online. So far so good though. Interesting to see how I feel about dinner this evening. Hadn't entered my mind until now but I have been busy so could be that and not the MJ

@Newme24 I got Benefibre it's great for constipation and it has no taste. Just something to make sure you go daily. I used to take it on Cambridge diet as you often was constipated on that

Those that have started, did you inject before eating? I'm going to do it in the morning and I'm wondering whether to do it before or after breakfast.

I injected my first on Thursday and had dinner a couple of hours later.
Only thing apart from the weird taste in my mouth is I do get A little bit of tummy ache for a short while after I eat something but nothing to make me want to stop !
I also don't have any hunger pains I'm sort of telling myself to make dinner / lunch sort of thing which is not like me at all I snack a lot

Took my first dose last night at 10pm. I don’t feel particularly hungry but I had 2 eggs for breakfast on a tiny piece of bread and a scotch egg for lunch as I was at my son’s and that was what was on offer. Pleasantly relieved to have no side effects so far but it’s very early days….

I started two days ago...took my first 2.5mg dose. No side effects at all so far, feel great actually. I have 70lbs to lose (more probably but that will take me to just under 11st, and I desperately want to see '10 stone something' on my scales!

5 years ago I was 10 stone 12lb - then menopause and a hysterectomy happened and my life went to shit! Here's hoping 🤞

I've felt ok all day, decided to have a bacon sandwich for tea..didn't feel hungry at all but it was tea time so felt I should eat. Now feel a bit nauseous 🤢 even when I was eating I knew I didn't need it but old habits and all that. 😅

Just started mine tonight. Felt the needle but not painful.
Got my self into a state worrying incase I accidentally injected air. It is as people say a bit of an anticlimax.

First dose today around 1pm. No side effects that I've noticed, but no change in appetite either.
Will see what tomorrow brings!

So morning 2 & I had a rubbish sleep last night up every hour from 2ish and now have a headache 🤕 but it's because I had to keep going to the toilet. So could be where I've drank so much water yesterday.

I hope it goes away I'm up & ready to do a dump run & then I've booked swimming with the kids at 11 so I want it to go away. Just having a glass of electrolytes & taking some painkillers. I'm so pleased all the kids school stuff is ready & I got the house organised yesterday. Means after swimming I can lay down If I'm still not feeling great.

Also haven't been to the toilet yet & I really hope it happens today 😅

Just done my first dose. I didn't feel it at all, just the pen touching my skin. Starting weight this morning is 15st 4.8. Lets hope this works.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about starting Mounjaro for a while I’m currently 15st 4lb and have piled on weight the last couple of years. Absolutely no will power at all and if I know there is an open pack of something I will have to finish it. If I’m bored I will eat even if I’m not hungry.

fizzy drinks have been a massive downfall, I can drink a 2l bottle per day. I rarely drink anything else. I have quit a few times before but the caffeine withdrawal sucks! I’ve spent the last week transitioning to Pepsi max and buying cans only bringing in the amount per day I want to drink and leaving the rest in my car boot as a deterrent! I’m currently on 4 cans per day which while not ideal I haven’t felt terrible with the withdrawal.

Took my first 2.5mg dose last night, woke up thirsty in the night and had a glass of water (never happens to me!) I would usually wake up in the morning and reach for a fizzy drink but I feel no need, not feeling like eating either.

Ive had some more water and plan to have some yogurt and fruit mid morning. I am thinking that I will have some Pepsi max even it I don’t fancy it to stave off major caffeine withdrawal headaches and wean myself off slowly still.

I couldn't finish my coffee this morning. I have slight nausea but nothing to badly.

Going out with my friends for breakfast but alsi feel so tired. However that could be down to having a busy week.

Took my first jab lastnight , feel no different this morning which is a bit disappointing but figure it’ll take a while to build up in blood stream - I do have a tiny headache

I took my first jab last night. Woke up feeling sicky - no interest in food as yet.
So we shall see ..

I’m 10 days in and weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lbs. No real side effects, perhaps looser stools which is good as I tend towards constipation since the menopause. I’ve lost interest in bingeing which is good.
