@LaurieFairyCake and @coffeandteav I am also knackered. Slept for 10hrs last night! I am assuming it’s a side effect but the drastically reduced caffeine is probably not helping.

Well I indulged for the first time last night on a takeaway and wine. I couldn't finish the takeaway and left a huge pile of rice. I'm usually a complete carb addict so that was unheard of. I was hoping that it would help with the constipation but it hasn't yet. Feel like utter rubbish this morning after the wine.

I would just store it in the fridge from now on @Penguinsmum . I decided to keep storing mine in the fridge for the same reason. I wouldn't worry about it being out of the fridge for a week.

Hello everyone. I really appreciate hearing everyone's experiences, the highs and the lows! I'm on my second week at 2.5mg and had minimal side effects so far and have lost 5lbs... but nervous to move to 5mg when the time comes!

I had a few questions which may have been covered previously but can't find an exact answer so any guidance would be great.

1. Where do you purchase extra needles to access the bonus dose?

1. Has anyone been through airport security with their pen and one needle? How do you obtain evidence of your prescription? I'm with Voy. I'm away for 2 weeks and wish to administer a dose whilst on holiday. I'm flying from Birmingham to Dublin.

1. Is anyone using Voy's support/programme and found the consultation and weekly messages helpful? I've not started this yet but sometimes find the weekly catch ups just seem like more of an admin burden! I prefer to be left to my own devices but like the idea I have the support if needed.

So 2 weeks in, 3rd injection this morning, and all good so far. I’ve had a really bad cold this last week so not sure if I’ve had side effects from MJ or just been generally rough from being ill. Other than that I’ve felt fine, some days hungrier than others but no desire for sweet stuff or r chocolate at all. I’ve had a few drinks at the weekends which have been ok. Not so sure about my starting weight as I had a dressing gown on but I’m on 10lb loss but thinking is really 8.6lb. Very happy with that….

If you take a look at the first post on the 'Continuing Mounjaro' threads there are details where you can buy extra needles.
I would also have a read through those threads for info on taking your pen on a flight. I'm sure I've read others discuss this on there, or might be good to ask on there. There's a lot of activity on those threads, they're fast moving. I'm sure someone can help.

Oh @LiveLoveLifeForever they are pretty much my starting and goal weights so I'll be chuffed to have a similar loss so quickly!

Thanks @Snozzlemaid , just read a thread today about bending needles and it made me feel wobbly and regretted ordering! But got big girl pants already 😂 so I will need to use them!

Mine just arrived eek it was saying to deliver Mon and Royal Mail are pants now so I assumed it would be late not early and I don’t know when to start it. Do you take it morning or evening? I’m away for a really busy weekend and long drive in two weeks time so I can’t be feeling crook then but if I take it Sunday then I could take the third dose Monday I get back but then I may feel crap for work. Oh how do others decide when to inject? And cope with other demands or am i just over thinking it!

Has anyone experimented with injection sites. I've only done mine on my stomach but I've heard some people have stronger side effects on thigh and arm

I think the difference is so tiny it's negligible to be honest, I have been doing belly and it's working just fine.

Overthinking it, though this thread is full of that 😂 I would give yourself a relatively clear 48 hours after you inject just in case it makes you feel nauseous or gives you stomach cramps, even if you do react the worst will be over after that initial period.

So I inject currently on Weds as my kids are at school Thursday/Friday and I'm home then, so I can curl up under my duvet and feel sorry for myself a bit if I need to. Even when I've felt my worst I still haven't been incapacitated enough to not be able to do the school runs or pop to the shops. It's not that bad, especially if you go low and slow to begin with.

Hello! I’m joining you. Got prescribed this for T2 Diabetes.

I took my first shot on Tuesday, so am 4 days in. Tbh I don’t feel much of a difference at all.

Because of big health issues in the past and being told on several occasions that, for example, my tumour was 98% likely not to be cancerous and then it was, I can’t help feeling I’ll be the small minority for which Mounjaro doesn’t work… we’ll see

Been lurking in the background reading this thread and finally took the plunge to order my first pen.

Has anyone else been sent one that is expired? mine says 05 24. I though I had read something when ordering that there was approval to use OOD pens but if they did further info would be given.

I ordered from pharmacy2u...no additional info came with it the than pen and I structures and standard drug info leaflet Just wo during qhthwr I should take it now or contact them and check.

Any similar experiences would be really helpful!

I have just had my first dose this morning.
i was a Saxenda girly last year and lost 1.5 stone, but came off around September as I couldn’t get it anywhere. Got three pens in January and was devastated to find the second time around it had no effect!
Since then I’ve put on a stone and I’ve decided to give MJ a go. I like the fact it’s weekly because I’m scared of needles so doing it daily was a bit traumatic!!!

anyhow, day 1 almost over on MJ. Been feeling a wee bitty sick but more like mild motion sickness. Saturday is my grazing day and I’ve only had 900 calories today - and anytime I do my usual “what do I want to eat?” Thoughts every snack I have doesn’t appeal to me. So I’m feeling very positive!

I have a few questions though from reading the thread if anyone could be kind enough to help

1. what the heck is “the bonus dose”? 😅It sounds great… is it just what’s left after the 4 doses? How much is it?
2. are people finding the effects last the full week or do they lessen as the week goes on?

i foolishly forgot to weigh myself this morning but I did a few days ago so will take that as my starting weight:
SW - 13st 3.5
GW - 10 st 6

I got a note with mine saying that they’ve changed the expiration limits upwards so the May dated ones are actually good for much longer

The first week I had really good surpression. Week 2 and now 3 it wears off a bit. I want to eat now. However my stomach hasn't rumbled once and I am not absolutely starved like I would be on a diet. It's just that I fancy tasty food again after day 3 onwards but it is easier to reisist.
