My batch of Mornjaro has a printed expiry date of 05/24 - along with a letter from Eli Lily saying the new shelf life is 14 months not 9 months as previously (changed 25/03/2024), so this is ok until 10/24. I hope so!

Good morning everyone. How is everyone doing with the Flab Jabs ? (Just joking 😊).
I’m in week 5 still on 2.5mg but think I will move to 5mg next pen as appetite coming back a bit last few days. Will need to hope I get through next few weeks on 2.5mg ok. At least my portions are smaller.
Ive lost 21 pounds since start but as I was 48.5 BMI then long road to go.
I really wish this was NHS funded. Would help so many people like me who have struggled their entire adult lives.

I'm waiting for my first pen to be delivered, ordered it from simple online pharmacy yesterday before 12, so I'm not sure whether it will be here today or tomorrow.

it’s so easy to inject just make sure you get the needle clicked on right. Mine was squint first time and shot it in air lol.
It does work. I can’t believe I have an overnight change to my feelings for food and food chatter in head gone. Feel like a slim person trapped in big body 😆. Let us know how you get on. I took mine at night before bed so as to avoid any weird tummy symptoms but none really.

Really finding this thread informative, I'm starting today and wondered if anyone can tell me how far I push the needle in, all the way?

@ishouldntsaybut yes push it in all the way, but don’t worry - the needle is tiny!! It’s really really thin so you won’t feel it and prob only just over 1cm long

That's 2.8lbs off in the second week which I'm happy with. Still a long way to go but it is working so well that I'm optimistic.

I also have the pen from the 5/24 batch but it is definitely working so don't worry.

@SwiftPeak we have nearly identical start points and goal weight although anything with a 10st… would be amazing. I’ve done it started this morning but had a run first so if I feel crap later I’ve got a couple of days before I’d like to run again . I’m really hoping this helps reduce the food noise, I’m fed up losing & gaining the same 4lbs over and over. I looked back at my scales App and I have gained 20lbs in last 2-3yrs from menopause & covid. So I need to reset that and drop another 10lbs to get into healthier bmi. Here’s hoping this helps as I exercise most days.

On a more serious note, I can’t believe that I had lost 10lbs by the end of week 2. I still have a long way to go but the results of the jab are amazing so far 😀

My Zava order has this info on it about expiry dates if it helps anyone.

@Summerslimm have you noticed any side effects so far?
I am also short - bmi is 31.2. I exercise every day too, mainly on the peloton.

I bit the bullet and did first injection last night. I did wake up with nausea and was very nearly sick...then absolutely fine.

today has been strange. I've got a stinking cold (caught pre jab) so no sense of smell/taste. this doesn't normally curb my urge to eat junk food..but today nothing. hunger feelings have pretty much gone entirely..I had first food at 12.30..and I normally have breakfast at 8am

If it stays like this then It really will be life changing

on a bad note I weighed in and had regained everything i had already lost earlier this year ..so starting with 25-30kg to lose, so a long way to go!

Day 3 of 2nd week on 2.5.

Not as much suppression as the first week when it was instant, but maybe it's more subtle now. I'm still not eating chocolate or rubbish, and I am making better choices (which are easier).

Ate more this week so far than last week, but honestly still don't think I have felt properly hungry yet. Currently feeling very bloated with constipation. Fine the first week but realise it's been a few days. I'll try to get something to help tomorrow.

I'm only half way through week one here, and honestly baffled at it. I don't know if it's the placebo effect or the drug or some combination of the two but I am basically just not at all hungry. I have eaten two small meals a day every day since. I was hungry this morning for breakfast for the first time and thought maybe I could eat 3 meals today but I would normally eat dinner by 6:30 and I am just completely unable to make myself want any food.

I'm 18lb into losing weight, but got stuck there just on the cusp of obese. I need to lose another 30lb. It's extraordinary.

Starting weight (last year) - 13st 13lb
Weight before MJ - 12st 9lb
Goal weight - 10st 5lb

Going to be fascinated to see how this experiment goes. I'm hoping that as I had got to a point of managing to maintain at 12st 9lb for about 9 months that I won't put it all back on once I have lost the weight but I guess that will have to be a problem for future me.

@SwiftPeak ive had a horrid headache most of the day, I had to take some paracetamols earlier and felt very weary & not hungry it’s biazzre was cooking dinner for kids but wasn’t tempted to nibble. but DH is now showing all signs of covid ffs so it could be viral instead!

I’ve just putting in a online food shop and left off my usual biscuits and replaced them with plain rice cakes to nibbleI’m hopeful…

Had my third 2.5 dose today & I can really feel the effects. I had to force a protein bagel down at 2pm then we had a roast dinner at 6.30 & for the first time I can remember I left half my dinner. I never leave a potato or Yorkshire but I just couldn't manage them. Then just now pudding came out. Choc fudge brownie and ice cream. Had the teeniest serving but again couldn't finish it. Absolutely incredible. I'm down 11bs so far. Hoping for a good loss this week too. Only two more weeks until I run my first 5k 😅

Hi what day did you start? I did my first dose on Tuesday.

I think my appetite has gone down a bit. But I’ve also felt hungry, and when I’ve felt hungry it’s felt like a proper hunger, as opposed to psychological, and stronger than I usually experience.

I’m surprised people lose so well in 2.5ml when it’s supposed to be a starting titration dose, and I really hope I’m one of those people as I have my doubts!

Ah no @Summerslimm, hopefully it's nothing! I've felt a bit nauseous and had constant hiccups (no idea whether that's related to the jab!) but haven't felt hungry at all.
