Week 2 has been going well, I've had a rotten cold though so not sure if that's been disguising any side effects lol, but from what I can tell I've had no nausea. I'm 5 days on from my second injection and feeling quite hungry today, have still eaten smaller portions than what I used to pre-Mounjaro though but did slip a few sweet treats in the trolley earlier.

So far my experience on Mounjaro has been hugely positive. It feels so easy and effortless, I feel like one of those naturally slim people - I enjoy my food but I'm satiated much more quickly and treats are just that - something fun to eat every once in a while rather than part of my daily comfort eating routine. I've lost 9lbs so far which I'm over the moon with, but even without the weight loss the mental impact of feeling satisfied and full from food is worth it for me alone.

I have a few trips planned in July so I've decided to stay on 2.5mg for my second month too.

I feel your pain. Week 3 of 2.5 dose injection last night. Just nothing.
I want to raid the kitchen.

norfolkbroadd · 14/06/2024 21:11

Today I looked forward to my lunchtime protein smoothie (frozen berries, Skyr, peanut butter, oat milk) and felt nauseous as my whole family tucked into Chinese food. I don't quite know what's happening to my appetite but I'm here for it.

I can't face anything biscuits or cakey, or fried/fast food. But salty crunchy things like those M&S bacon puff things are going down a treat, and the smoothies... oh god I want one now...

It says every three days. It is tempting. I am worried about side affects and cost though.

LaurieFairyCake · 14/06/2024 21:45

Yeah, I'm 4 days after the second injection

So tempted 😂

Snozzlemaid · 14/06/2024 22:10

I'm 3 days after my third 2.5 and I'm not feeling much appetite suppression now either. The first two weeks were good but now I could eat much more each mealtime again.
I'm keeping good so far with willpower but it's a struggle.
Wasn't sure whether or not to go up to 5mg after my next 2.5, but I definitely think I need to now the 2.5 isn't lasting or working so well.

I just did it! The needle is tiny isn’t it. Fingers crossed it works for me as it has worked for sim many of you.

I did a half dose (against all medical advice ofc) on day 4. It was too much and I then ended up delaying the next full dose (although the 'top up' did get me into appetite suppression). If you're going to give into temptation, I'd suggest looking at the clicks for a third of a dose or less for the 2.5 pen on thread 13; but ideally wait it out and stick with the proper guidelines.

Is there anywhere apart from Boots that I can collect in person? I’m concerned about nobody being here to sign for it and it going to waste as it will get too warm?

My order from Lloyd’s Pharmacy was left on the doorstep. It was well packaged with ice blocks. I was actually home just didn’t hear the door. But it would have been fine for a few hours. And their delivery service (Evri) had given me a one hour slot on the day.

Asda online doctor offer collection from chosen Asda pharmacy, although that is in general - I don't know specifically about a cold delivery.

I'm a little concerned about being in for it too now - I had an email on Tue evening to say DPD were waiting for my parcel, then Wed at 9.30 am (already at work) one to say it was going to be delivered between 2.45 pm and 3.45 pm. Luckily I had a half day at work and arrived home at 1.30 pm - it turned up at 1.40 pm (and pure chance still I got it as the delivery driver lightly tapped the outer door rather than using the knocker or ring doorbell - I just happened to see him, not hear him).

Tirzepatide · 15/06/2024 07:21

I took my first does yesterday at 5 pm, and did my baseline WI this morning. Made a spreadsheet for keeping track on WI data, symptoms, anything else I feel is relevant.

I've got Renpro scales and a Renpro measuring tape (and app of course - hadn't used that since 2021 though, and it queried whether my new weight was correct as it was 'quite a change' 😮). I guess I should make myself do baseline measurements too but it was bad enough seeing just how high my weight has got (I knew, but putting it in the spreadsheet and working out the BMI...sobering), this might be a step too far.

Feel nothing so far, as expected really.

My batch of Mornjaro has a printed expiry date of 05/24 - along with a letter from Eli Lily saying the new shelf life is 14 months not 9 months as previously (changed 25/03/2024), so this is ok until 10/24. I hope so!

värskekapsas · 15/06/2024 07:38

@Snozzlemaid I am the same, just done my 3rd injection( on day 2 now) and definitely no appetite suppression anymore. I lost 6lb on the 1 week and then nothing last week. I thought about staying at 2.5 mg for a while to reduce side effects but just went ahead and ordered 5mg.
Did you had any side effects?

JomonotFomo · 15/06/2024 08:07

week 3 Jab done yesterday evening. I’m feeling a little more snacky, but still can’t eat a full meal and zero interest in sweet stuff/crisps or booze. I have gone from a total caffeine addict to maybe 5 cups of tea a day, which is a lot for others probably but it’s over half my usual.

Second weigh this morning and I’ve lost 3lb.

SW 15st12
CW 14st11
GW probably around 11st. Which would be top end bmi normal. Which is ironic because I remember feeling (and being called fat) at that weight as a late teenager, hence starting dieting in the first place.

Over a stone in three weeks @JomonotFomo - brilliant!
Snap about the 11st - that was where I started diets when I was younger, now it feels completely different and aspirational. I got down to 11st five years a go (much, much heavier now) and it did feel really good for the week or so I stayed there - when I get there this time I definitely won't be letting it go again!

LaurieFairyCake · 15/06/2024 09:39

Well I'm glad I didn't inject (early) as even though I ate loads yesterday - about 1500 calories I feel sick as a dog today

Not hungry at all, totally knackered

coffeandteav · 15/06/2024 09:42

2 week weigh in results.

Week 1 8lbs off
Week 2 2.5 lbs off

Feel like I am surviving on will power this week.

Week 3 plna is now to incorporate some exercise. This will be the hard but for me as I am so tired after work.

Penguinsmum · 15/06/2024 10:20

Hello all! I have been watching this thread as I'm on day 4 of 2nd dose. such a great inspiring thread. omg I feel how a slim healthy person must feel!! not wanting rubbish, low appetite, smaller portions etc, no alcohol and pizza cravings! hope it continues. Can anyone help with this question - sorry if it is a basic question! - the 'bonus dose' that i've heard mentioned - can I still use this as my pen will have been out of the fridge since my first dose - so by the time I do the 'bonus dose' it will be over the 21 days?

Snozzlemaid · 15/06/2024 10:27

värskekapsas · 15/06/2024 07:38

@Snozzlemaid I am the same, just done my 3rd injection( on day 2 now) and definitely no appetite suppression anymore. I lost 6lb on the 1 week and then nothing last week. I thought about staying at 2.5 mg for a while to reduce side effects but just went ahead and ordered 5mg.
Did you had any side effects?

I've not had much in the way of side effects on 2.5. Just a foul tasting mouth occasionally and sore neck glands after my first dose.
Whilst appetite suppression definitely doesn't feel as strong I'm staying on track with my eating and I've had another 2lb loss when weighing this morning.
I've everything crossed I don't get bad side effects when I do go up to 5mg.
