Amazing losses by some - well done! and newcomers too. it is nice to have people on the journey, as I have not told many people either. Where I had to say something (like asking for help to have healthier food in meetings at work), I have simply said I am on new medication for my diabetes.
I am fascinated by the conversation re: twisting to 1, etc... as my pens are single injection (I am in the US) and I buy 4 a month in the pack. I don't have to worry about needles and we put our pens in sharps containers (like an empty peanut butter jar this month, with SHARPS written on it) and put in in our normal rubbish.
My travel this week was not as bad as I thought, but it was challenging. I had to really work hard to make good choices, and avoid all sorts of pitfalls. I went to Sweden and to the UK with my team, and normally would have all sorts of yummy food (to includes pork pies and sausage rolls, cause I miss them). But I didn't. I generally stuck to the right things, prioritized protein and avoided alcohol. It was not easy, with jetlag, and food being placed in front of us constantly, but I did lose 0.8lb, instead of gaining.
After 14 phone calls in the last 12 hours since I got home, I think I have found a box of Mounjaro 7.5, which I will be picking up later today. It is on backorder across the whole area, and I thought I would have to stay on 5.0 for another month. My sister told me that 7.5 was the dose that really worked for her, so I am hopeful that it has more effect that the 5.0. I am not expecting miracles, and I do expect it to be slow going, but it would be great to not have it be so much willpower and hard work.
