Anyone starting wegovy this week?

would love to hear from others starting out.. I’m nervous!

I’ve been using Boots and used the WW discount to sign up to their Glp-1 specific program/app, it’s been really useful 👍👍

Is anyone on 1.7mg yet? I had no loss on 1mg and today at first day of 1.7mg I’ve eaten loads of chocolate and thinking about food. I’m really missing the 0.5 month where I felt more hopeful 😓

I've got one more 1.0 injection to go then onto 1.7. I've only lost 1lb on 1.0 so far and only 8lbs overall since beginning Jan!! I'm definitely eating smaller portions and not interested in alcohol which has been great but I still get hungry and find I snack a bit. Combined with busy work and menopause I'm finding it hard to up my exercise and do strength training which I know I need to do. I'm shattered all the time 🙁 However I'm carrying on as slow weight loss is better than none at all. Bit disappointing though compared to how others seem to be doing, but I guess age maybe makes a difference.

I had my first 1.7 on Monday. I was a bit nervous so wound the pen back 10 clicks to have a little bit less and try and stretch it out at the end. It's been good until today but now wishing I'd had the full dose to maybe last a bit longer. I haven't had any increase in side effects.

@LastCall24 i could pretty much mirror your journey so far, and yes it is disappointing. I should have taken my next jab today or even yesterday but giving myself a couple of days as got ‘a do’ tomorrow evening and really want to be able to have a couple of wines without worrying. I have decided I am not going to beat myself up and just enjoy my weekend, get back on track on Monday and not weigh myself for two weeks in the hope I am pleasantly surprised.

I still can't believe this is so effective and so easy. Wegovy is absolutely amazing stuff. I feel SO much better.

@Stormin , how did your social do go? I took last 0.25 on Friday and had a do on Saturday - no idea how many glasses of wine I drunk, but definitely less than usual as I didn't fancy it after a while, and no major side effects or hangover, which is both good and bad - now I know I can have wine if I want to, was hoping it would curb my desire a bit more! 😆

Hi @ByCoolMoose - went okay, enjoyed it, and like you I had no after effects whatsoever, not even the usual little headache I would normally get! Didn't take my jab till this morning and gave myself a weekend off, hopefully to give it a kick start if nothing else, time will tell. I go on holiday in May and if things don't pick up much by then, I may consider changing when I come back, heard Mounjara is supposed to be good - hopefully though it may have started doing it's magic by then 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I'm in the same boat - no issues with booze consumption! Not good.

Down only 400g last week. It's going so slowly. Tonight is my last 0.5 jab.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but after a pp posted that they didn't think they don't think they're 0.5 from Bolt Pharmacy was doing anything and could it be a duff one, I'm starting to think the same

Lost 4lb 2oz! Very happy with that. Have been working super hard on eating less and more healthy as my issue is portion sizes and snacks, chocolate and biscuits. Wegovy has definitely made that easier. I still think about food a LOT though.

Hoping to lose 3 stone overall but giving myself a year to do it.

Hello - can I join please? I have ordered Wegovy 0.25mg and it arrives tomorrow! Thinking of holding off to start on 1st April, plus DH and I are out this weekend and have a table booked at a really nice restaurant, so I want to actually eat the food lol!

@Stormin good to hear it went well. I'm away this weekend, so have decided to start with next dose up, 0.5 when I get back on Monday, in case it has side effects. I have tiny bit left in the 0.25 pen, thinking of taking that before I go.

0.5mg was sloooow for me.
first week of 1.0mg didn’t lose - constipation was bad and felt nauseous.

Hi all - Wegovy is out for delivery! I'll be taking it tonight before bed.

I followed the advice on here of a couple of posters, and I ordered the next pen (0.5) from Bolt Pharmacy last night. They've asked for proof of my previous prescription/order confirmation which I've sent, so hopefully all ok for my next pen (was £50 cheaper than I paid for the starting dose).

DH was initially onboard, more of the opinion of "You've done your research, I'll support you as I know you don't do silly things", to last night, spamming me with all the links as to why Wegovy is bad and I'll just put all the weight back on as soon as I stop.... urgh!!

@55sainz he’s not wrong, weight comes back on without continuing with the reduced intake afterwards. It’s the one thing I’m working on, as otherwise it’ll be just another expensive experiment. Good luck!

I’m planning to stop at the end of the 0.5mg dose and try and maintain. I’m just inside the healthy BMI now.

Great to see some good losses on here from everyone. I am on my third week of 0.25 and starting to get hungry again. Haven’t weighed yet this week but hoping for at least a pound! 😬

I ordered my first 0.25 pen from Lloyds pharmacy and they are now out of stock of everything. Due to go up to 0.5 in 2 weeks any idea where I can order from and order a 0.5 rather than 0.25 again?

Hello all, I'm onto Month 3 Week 1 of 1.0 and definitely feeling the hunger, my weight loss has slowed right down too 😭

I have three doses left of my current pen which I'm going to condense into two weeks (been doing some click maths!), and I've just ordered my first 1.7 pen so hopefully that should arrive in time for me to continue on seamlessly. The increase in price alone is enough to make me nauseous tbh.

@Radish12 i am in the same place as you, just ordered the 1.7mg after a fairly static 1.0mg journey! A couple of pounds off and really not eating much. Not been hungry though, just struggling to want anything.

Need to really work on protein intake and exercise now i reckon, that’s when I’ve seen the biggest losses…

@LastCall24 menopause is really making it hard for me too 😔 but getting there albeit REALLY SLOWLY!

So slow here too, 4 weeks of 0.25 done tomorrow and only lost 3 kg / 6 lbs. Been eating much less but have been to gym 3-4 times a week weight training, so maybe I'm building muscle, hence the scale is not moving. It's definitely so much harder to lose weight in perimenopause/ menopause - I'll be 48 on Sunday! 😱

Happy birthday for Sunday! Have you been taking your measurements as well? That can help when the scale doesn't seem to move.
