Had some success with ryebelsus but waiting on mounjaro in UK
Have underactive thyroid and PCOS and never lost 3st gained after chuld #3 (pre eclpamtic qnd fluid retention etc)

Anyone know where can get mounjaro in UK? BMI 32 so will pay for private prescrption

Hi, I started mounjaro nearly 3 weeks ago. My doctor put me in it as I am type 2 diabetic and was put in insulin 20 months ago and put on 3 stone( I was already over weight). Since starting mounjaro in 19 days I have lost 3.3 kg. With diet and exercise. The maximum dosage available on NHS is 5ml. I was told that you can buy online from boots. Hope that helps

Morning all, I've done my first 4wks on 2.5, my pen has way more than another dose left but the pen has stopped working, so I can't get it out. I know some people have used their bonus dose but am I doing something wrong or is the pen supposed to stop dispensing?

Mine was the same, I just binned it as it had just under 1.0 in it. Just started my 5.0 today. Si far so good. You have many side effects?

It needs a hard twist to get the bonus dose out. I found it tough at first but once you get used to it you'll find it easy. Some people use pliers, there's lots of videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

It worked after several attempts, almost broke it! Thank you, it looks as though it was another full dose, so that's great 👍

I'm waiting on my 5mg to arrive, but so far on 2.5 I've had zero side effects which I'm really pleased about, and lost a stone. It's made sticking to a diet a breeze! I've felt really tired but not sure that is down to this med.
I am actually nervous to start 5mg because I'm afraid that a double dose might bring on side effects others have been experiencing 😟

I started 5.0 yesterday felt sick and extremely tired all day today. Id lost nearly 4kg and now put on over 1.5. nurse said it's because I've built up muscle because of the exercise I'm doing. Hope you have no symptoms with your 5.0😁

There will be liquid left in the syringe after the 4th dose. Its enough for a 5th dose. You just need to twist it really hard to get it back to 1 to inject again. Some people order syringes to extract it x

Hi , I just started last Tuesday and have lost about 9lbs.
First few days felt very queezy, took some anti sickness tablets. Bit of constipation, which I've hopefully resolved with sachets and dried apricots.
I've been on a diet for about 20 yrs .Diet clubs , books , magazines.
The mystery for me is how much a small amount of injection has changed my whole mindset. I don't think about food all day , only want to eat small amounts and certainly have not craved and sugary,stodgy foods. Its like someone has popped a skinny person's brain in ,when I wasn't looking 🤣
It's obviously very early days , but I have one or two holidays and functions coming up this Autumn , and instead of dreading what I will wear , I'm kinda looking forward .

I'm exactly the same Hun. Done several different diets and life changes. But this injection is making more determined than ever. I'm on week 5 and lost nearly 6 kg. Good luck

I’m seriously considering trying Mounjaro. I’ve lost weight before, but Peri seems to be really slowing everything down. I’ve been following Slimming World for the last two months and I’ve lost 10lbs. I have an under active thyroid and my bmi is over 30.
The cost terrifies me, if it doesn’t work I will have wasted so much money that we don’t have to waste.
I get paid next week and I think I’m going to take the plunge. I’ll keep reading the threads for now x

I've moved up to 5mg, been on it a week, thankfully zero side effects again. Since I've been on this medication, I can sleep for England! Not a bad thing but has anyone else experienced this? Also, 5mg doesn't appear to be so effective, which makes no sense to me. The hunger is still not there, which helps, but I've found I'm eating more 🤔

I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid in 2019 although I think I had the condition for a couple of years before my diagnosis ( Hashimotos). My medication stopped me putting on more weight but I am never able to lose anything. I am 5ft 10 and weigh 92kg and I am sick of it. Has anyone else with a thyroid condition tried mounjaro?
