Just that, really

It seems frowned upon if you’re under 25 in our circles, most people assume we want a long engagement but we just want to get straight on with planning!

I haven't seen any comments about being uneducated and 'low class?'

Where are these posts?

@Magnu Some posters have suggested it with comments such as:

generally people with professional careers get married later.

I do think it’s very much a class thing to be honest.

Among the people I know, their education, career or the “class” they were born into hasn’t particularly influenced when they married. It all boiled down to when they met their spouses. When they had children, however, does seem to be related to their education and careers.

I was 26 the first time round and it’s too young! Anything under 30 is, IMO.

I was 25 and my DG 19 - we've been married for 41 years

My parents generation were marrying at 18/19 years old, it was much more common place back then.

now if someone was suggesting getting married at 18 I’d be very dubious as youngsters are infantilised & consequently much more immature.

Under 25.

The average age to get married in the UK is 31.

Before 25 your brain hasn’t finished developing, specially the bit responsible for rational thinking and impulse control.

The young people I know who are living life, career minded, no kids etc don't get married until at least 28.

I got married at 19, (he was 21) had 3 kids by 25, still married now 35 years later. Looking back I think it was a bit young.
