I hate this heat, bring on winter!

Okay so I know this sounds ridiculous to people who love the sun. But I can’t stand this hot weather, the uncomfortable heat, sweating in places I never knew I could sweat, the red face, horrible smell of sunscreen, lack of sleep due to heat. My 8 month old is struggling in this heat too! She seems to have taken on her mother’s hatred for the sun haha!

Bring on the frosty blue skies , the crunchy leaves, hot chocolate with a hot water bottle tucked up in a duvet watching Christmas movies! I know I can’t be the only one surely who feels the same! My partner on the other hand, absolutely loves the heat and relishes in the sun. I feel like a sweaty gammon joint.

It's 27 indoors but feels lovely a cool, over cast and a great breeze. Since when has 27 been cooler?!

It is going to be a struggle this winter with the bills and I am really worried about what it’s going to do to my business. But on the other hand, 30°+ is Too Bloody Hot territory. You can’t even really enjoy it by going out because it’s too hot for the poor dog, and we all get sunburnt! At least in the winter we can go for brisk walks to warm up a bit. Plus I look much better in jeans and jumpers than shorts, and I have more of them - I really don’t own enough summer clothes. So I won’t be too sorry to see autumn on the way.

I've just been for a walk in the much needed rain and it was bliss.

For over a week I've clung to the fact it was meant to rain from today and start to cool down. By this afternoon that had changed to Wednesday. The idea of getting through another 48 hours of this is making me miserable. We're lucky enough to have an aircon unit but I feel like I've been trapped in one room of our flat for weeks. Throw in just getting over Covid and horrendous morning sickness I'm withered. I just want some cooler weather so I can function like a normal human being again.

Liar! This water falling from the sky is just a myth. Such a thing just is no longer possible in today's world - it's a magical story from olden times.

I'm sure of it.

I need to see rain , all day for days at a time
I know it annoys my friends who complain of the cold constantly. Even when I think it's hot!

I really feel for those down south that are still in the heatwave. I’m West Midland area and it’s 19 here and been raining on and off all day, I woke up and went straight outside to stand in it! It was beautiful!

It's revolting here, about 29 outside, 31 in the flat
the main 2 websites I use are showing no real let up except one day.

I am also trapped in one room. Friends wanted to go to Brighton this weekend, I'm thinking of where we can head north.

I cannot wait for Autumn! I have done the bare essentials around the house this last week because of the heat. I have jobs to do in the garden and in the house but just cannot face it. It’s miserable. On top of that I itch, feel constantly grubby and have hair like a Brillo pad.

Yes me too on the itching! The heat just makes me so bloody itchy constantly!

I’m on annual leave from the 5th can’t wait to clean the house. Haven’t done it properly for ages. Too hot.

I stood out in the rain a couple of days ago in my PJs, it was lovely! I can't wait for coats, scarves, gloves and snow boots.

It’s raining here today! Oh the joy. The cooler breeze, I actually slept okay last night and so did little one! The summer is nice , lots of days out for baby girl. But I must admit I do love the rain, I find it peaceful. Currently sat in the garden , with a cup of tea , feeling the nice breeze. Little girl is asleep with partner. Bliss. Hope everyone is feeling cooler today.

September is here! I can smell the pumpkin spice already 🎃🍂

Yes I opened the front door this morning and a flurry of leaves were dancing around on the drive ☺️ made me smile
