I hate this heat, bring on winter!

Okay so I know this sounds ridiculous to people who love the sun. But I can’t stand this hot weather, the uncomfortable heat, sweating in places I never knew I could sweat, the red face, horrible smell of sunscreen, lack of sleep due to heat. My 8 month old is struggling in this heat too! She seems to have taken on her mother’s hatred for the sun haha!

Bring on the frosty blue skies , the crunchy leaves, hot chocolate with a hot water bottle tucked up in a duvet watching Christmas movies! I know I can’t be the only one surely who feels the same! My partner on the other hand, absolutely loves the heat and relishes in the sun. I feel like a sweaty gammon joint.

You are not the only one. I've actually struggled more than usual this year, the heat has almost made me ill.

Bring on autumn, my favourite season! The hot weather is only good when you've got a beach or pool to jump into. I just feel hot, sweaty and bloated as I haven't lost the 2 stone I planned. Also looking to cosy nights when it's getting colder but not too cold, and the leaves are starting to fall and I can bring my favourite coats back out.

I hate this heat too and have spent the days hiding indoors, sitting in a breeze created by having front and back doors and windows open. I know we're lucky as we have sea breezes to help. Sleep is aided by a room fan and open windows. Seriously, I've had the best sleep in ages - I think it is the 'white noise' effect of the fan.

I absolutely love the heat on holiday though, when there's air conditioning EVERYWHERE! But not so much in England!
Really looking forward to the chilly weather when we need to get the coats and hats out! Hoping there isn't too much ice this year though as baby #3 is due at the beginning of December so gonna be very anxious about slipping over! Luckily I usually have the pushchair to stabilise me! 😂
The thought of Hot water bottles, fluffy blankets, and cuddles with my 2 toddlers is what's keeping me going through the heat! 😂

Not alone! Had a baby a month ago and feel trapped in the house as it's much too hot for a newborn even with shade.
I just love autumn - wearing jeans and jumpers, hot chocolates, cosy evenings! Every year I count down to September.

@flashbac that's clearly not what is meant by this post! I know we will struggle with the rising costs of heating this year, but OP was simply making a light hearted post about hating the heat. Not everything needs to be doom and gloomed. Calm down!

I hear you! The heat properly makes me miserable. Have been checking the weather non stop all week just to make sure the temperatures are due to come down next week. Cannot wait for Autumn. So much easier to layer up when a little cooler than to try to keep any way cool in the constant blistering heat.

Me too it's relentless, I want a good downpour of rain so I can be cosy indoors without always feeling we should be out and about enjoying the sun.

Still when people are losing sleep over the prospect of winter seeing someone even lightheartedly say to bring it on, it's going to be yet another reminder. I definitely am not relishing winter - nothing to do with my like or dislike of current temps

I coped fine in July. But this heatwave is horrendous and has really messed up my meds. I feel so ill.

Not long now. Have ordered some Halloween mugs and cable knit tights to get myself in the mood. 🍂

I don't mind the heat but 30 plus is a bit too much! I wish I had air con.
I've got a powerful fan which helps.

I do love the evenings we're having and going for walks then is lovely.

This weather is going to make me appreciate and love autumn even more and I hope we have a mild winter, like we generally have been having.

I hate it. Everything feels like suffocation and burning. It's not going to get below 20 the next couple of nights and my bedroom is already like a blast furnace, the fan is just pushing around hot air at this point. It's awful.

My weather app tells me that Monday brings rain. And I cannot wait.

It’s awful weather and I just want summer to end now. We’ve been trapped inside all week sat in the dark and I am well and truly fed up with this oppressive heat.

On a positive note, the autumn colours are going to be absolutely spectacularly vibrant due to the heatwaves we've had.

So glad I’m not the only one! I don’t mind the sun when it’s comfortable with a nice breeze but this heatwave is just too much.

@flashbac @liveforsummer I get what you’re saying about winter, it’s gonna be tough money wise. But this post is not about that. I was just saying how uncomfortable it is in the heat for myself and I just want some cooler weather. I know how tough money will be with rising prices , I myself will struggle.

I hate this hot sunny weather

My favourite thing to do is go hiking with the dogs, can not WAIT till this heat fucks off so we can get back at it

I can't wait for autumn and never really enjoy summer much. Spring and autumn are just so good for me!

People say "oh you'll be moaning when it's autumn and dark at 5pm"... but honestly I really don't! I love dark cosy nights and dark mornings - I guess I'm just not a summer person! I love hot chocs hiding inside from the wind, bright but crisp cold days going to long walks in our wellies with the kids. Crunching leaves. Halloween. All of it.

I especially like the fact it's so much easier for the kids to go off to sleep at a reasonable hour in autum-spring. And also to sleep in till 7am instead of waking with the birds at 5am!

I loathe every second of it, I have a congenital heart condition and the heat makes me want to die, I am breathless, it takes me ages to get up the stairs, my legs swell. All heart related, come autumn I will be skipping about like a normal person.

So looking forward to wearing a coat, lighting candles in early evening, winter stodge for supper.

I just looked down and saw a huge spider on the floor! I think Autumn is going to bring some gigantic visitors.

I screamed a little bit, not going to lie. I really don't like spiders 😂
