Snow watch!

I know it will seem quite crackers to start this when the weekend has been so lovely, but we are starting to get some model consistency on GFS for the potential for snow Friday night into Saturday as a northerly plunge looks set to take place.

Primary risk areas are obviously for hillier parts of Scotland and also Wales, but higher ground in the south and south east including over dartmoor and down the east coast may also see some sleet or wet snow.

We never get snow

I'm at the stage where it's lazier easier to check the UK snow map than actually look out the window.

Sleety in north Hampshire at tea time. But mostly wet and cold 😫.

Snow in High Peak now. Still quite wet outside but it is settling on the car.

My DP is at a funeral 20 miles away today. And im at a consultant appointment 30 miles in the other direction.

Just started snowing in Calderdale, quite heavily atm. It's very wet though so, as yet, no sign of it settling.

And it's stopped! Still plenty of low cloud so we might see a return.

Snow in Worcestershire this morning, probably 40 minutes of heavy snow but none settling

DH is somewhere in the vicinity of Birmingham (well, that's where he flew this morning!) and its snowing there now.
