Snow watch!

I know it will seem quite crackers to start this when the weekend has been so lovely, but we are starting to get some model consistency on GFS for the potential for snow Friday night into Saturday as a northerly plunge looks set to take place.

Primary risk areas are obviously for hillier parts of Scotland and also Wales, but higher ground in the south and south east including over dartmoor and down the east coast may also see some sleet or wet snow.

I seem to be a blind spot of Bucks for the snow! All the surrounding neighborhoods are reporting it but none in HW town.

Beginning to settle on the grass here (Leicester) 1.2C

I have sleet in central southern england, temp has dropped to 1c.

I have snow in Bedford (just in the last 15 mins)

Snow here in Leicestershire earlier but very wet sleety snow and now nothing ☹️

SweetPeaPods I’m also Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire border and would love a snow day! Only wet sleety crap so far tho and currently nothing so don’t think it’s going to happen 😩

I think Norfolk, suffolk, Cambridgeshire are going to be getting a reasonable amount of snow over the next few hours.

@BramblyHedge I'm in Naphill but may as well be another planet when snow falls. It's laid a bit of my drive but the main road is still running ok, but slowly. Will have to see what tomorrow brings after it's had a chance to freeze!

Here in worcs it snowed very hard at 3-6pm but now the sky is clear and nothing forecast tomorrow at all, not until Thursday PM when the heavy snowfall is predicted.
