Snow watch!

I know it will seem quite crackers to start this when the weekend has been so lovely, but we are starting to get some model consistency on GFS for the potential for snow Friday night into Saturday as a northerly plunge looks set to take place.

Primary risk areas are obviously for hillier parts of Scotland and also Wales, but higher ground in the south and south east including over dartmoor and down the east coast may also see some sleet or wet snow.

DD2 has her 20 week scan on Wed 23, & she lives in a place that often gets snow, with a very dodgy road between her & the hospital.

So please all cross your fingers for no snow for her

Woke up to snow in West Mids this morning! Not a lot of it, but still surprised me, didn't think we would get any

We've got snow here (Leicester) too! Just a slight, top- of- car covering sort of thing but definitely something wintry.

There's a nice blob of snow potential down to about Essex today along the east coast and through EA don't think it will settle much.

In the mean time I have rain at 2c and my train has no heating.

Blizzard here in NW London for 10 minutes. The wind driving big fat wet flakes into my face. Face now frozen. I did enjoy it though. Very invigorating. Too wet to settle I think but maybe a sign of things to come.

@Titsywoo I am imagining an alarm screaching "It's Snowing, It's Snowing" like an excited 4yr old.

We sprinkling for a few minutes here, the ground is frozen so it's super slippy! Decided no to take my dog out this morning too risky
