I really enjoyed the snow last week but this weather is getting oppressive now

BensonJutton · 13/03/2018 07:17

Gloria gosh!! Accuweather has also updated theirforecast to say it'll be bloody sub zero on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Snow in the SW is always a bit of a shock

Springiscoming123 · 13/03/2018 08:35

heck ive just ajusted the heating clock

no idea what my heating bill is had it on 20hrs a day when we had the cold snap, will put my meter reading in this week and find out

Springiscoming123 · 13/03/2018 08:37

surly it must be lambing soon,if so not good

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 13/03/2018 09:05

I've just heard the weather forecast on the radio. Googled it as well, but thought, I won't believe a thing until Gloria or OYBBK say it. And there you are....!!!! I CANNOT be dealing with snow this weekend. It can do what it likes after Sunday lunchtime !!!!!!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 13/03/2018 09:09

Sunday would be a really bad day for it to snow. Can we get that changed somehow?

SeaLionsOnMyShirt · 13/03/2018 09:22

Oh joy. I am usually the first to get excited about snow, but we've had our fun now and I'm ready for spring! Plus we are going on holiday next week and I don't want to drive 5 hrs in bad weather (not to mention the ferry across the Irish Sea after that - please don't tell me we are going to have gales as well towards the end of next week....)

GloriaSmud · 13/03/2018 09:34

whywontthey ~ Grin Yes, here we are! Once again though, don't make decisions just on what we say ~ we'd hate for people to do that and get into dangerous situations.

Today's thoughts from TheWeatherOutlook and Netweather. I'm noting this bit from Netweather~
"Snow showers from the east could have started by early Saturday. It’s tricky to give amounts, locations and impacts at this point. The Met Office is likely to issue a warning. Will be interesting to see what the metoffice think on this coming cold snap/spell.

DilysMoon · 13/03/2018 09:56

Settling in and hoping for snow this time in N Cheshire, seems we're borderline again Hmm.

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 13/03/2018 12:36

Is there any chance it will miss London completely? ? Please....begging now. ...!!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/03/2018 14:31

where did my update go?
I just typed out loads :(

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/03/2018 14:33

Balls.

ok, well I can't promise it will miss London. It will be different from last time, less cold, moister snow. More short lived too. Most model runs are showing not too much but the odd one brings up larger totals. Risk is currently primarily in the east.

It needs to go away.

it's so gorgeous here today, 9c and beautiful sunshine. My bird feeders have been filled with just about every variety of tit plus a couple of chiffchaffs. The crocuses are up and the daffs are trying

feck off snow

Whywonttheyletmeusemyusername · 13/03/2018 16:26

Thanks OYBBK....that gives me a little bit of hope to cling onto !!!!

50shadesofknackered · 13/03/2018 17:32

Hi, do u have an inkling what the weather's looking like towards the end of the month in the Midlands? We're going on holiday on 30th March and need to get to the airport. I'm stressing as I've read somewhere that the weather will still be bad then. Thank u so much for the time I spend checking and posting all this info for us.

50shadesofknackered · 13/03/2018 17:33

Sorry, thanks for the time YOU spend checking and posting! Stupid phone...

gttia · 13/03/2018 20:15

I'm watching Twitter and panicking lol. Creates a lot of work getting my clinics and staff prepared. We need some spring not more snow!

Delatron · 13/03/2018 21:38

Just checked a few forecasts. We were showing snow on all before but just cloud now so I'm crossing my fingers we don't get any (Bucks). Over the snow now and I want Spring to arrive!

DazzlingMilton · 13/03/2018 21:47

Here’s hoping this burst of cold weather is short lived, I’m ready to put my winter coats away

OhYouBadBadKitten · 13/03/2018 21:52

50shades Im afraid I don't, I don't try and go beyond about 10 days or so and usually much less. I'd be making it up if I tried to advise I'm afraid.

50shadesofknackered · 14/03/2018 03:05

Thank u anyway, hopefully it will have all passed by then and Spring will have arrived.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 14/03/2018 06:52

Am I the only one who welcomes our beastly overlord? I would love another bite of the snow cherry.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 14/03/2018 07:27

I'm content to wait 9 months for a next bite at the snow cherry. I'd like to fit in Spring, a long summer and autumn before then Grin It's going to have to get a shufty on to manage all that!
