I think for many it will stay on the side of being a bit too warm for snow, so I hope you are ok!

No snow for the south of England though I hope .

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/03/2018 15:36

no, no snow down here :)

So back to rain again for those in the South it seems this weekend.
Is the low pressure system coming in from South West anything to be concerned about? Looks like it reaches Cornwall on Sunday.

user187656748 · 07/03/2018 15:43

Ive just checked and we're possibly getting a bit more tomorrow (Midlands). Its beautiful and sunny out there now and so I'm a bit surprised.

lubeybooby · 07/03/2018 16:01

wtf weather?

just had sooo many different types of precipitation in the space of 5 minutes Shock

Started off with rain, then sleet, then wet snow, then much 'drier' individual snowflakes covered in spiky white frost, then what looked like really wet graupel, then the white coloured graupel

Literally in FIVE minutes as I was standing watching the cloud come over (can see for miles out the back here)

Bright sunshine again now and the cloud only came over at 3:50pm (now 4pm)

lubeybooby · 07/03/2018 16:05

Grabbed this off the radar - the red bit went over us! 5 minutes of mad

Waves at Snowiest, oh I do hope so! Very poor show here last week but found these threads absolutely fascinating nonetheless so thank you Gloria & OYBBK

SnowiestMountain · 07/03/2018 16:51

Yes Warrington way here. Absolutely agree Dilys last week was utterly fascinating on here and utterly disappointing in reality! Let's hope we get a little turn!

SnowiestMountain · 07/03/2018 16:52

Oh bugger, just on the edge of the warning, again 🙄

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/03/2018 16:53

any reports of hail or high winds in that lubey?

OP posts:
drinkswineoutofamug · 07/03/2018 17:06

Ah your Warrington way. I'm foot of the Pennines

ReinettePompadour · 07/03/2018 17:23

I'm right in the middle of the snow warning for tomorrow. It did snow briefly earlier today over Lichfield way despite my car saying it was 6degrees. Confused

Ive just topped up my -25 degrees screen wash today so I'm good to go. Grin

lubeybooby · 07/03/2018 17:28

OYBBK yes hail was in there too at some point and the wind got up. Temp dropped off a cliff from 5.9 to 2.9 in ten minutes

Chardonnay73 · 07/03/2018 17:29

Reinette I'm in Tamworth and yet again the snow shield was round us today then !
Four Oaks and Streetly still has loads of snow where it was piled up at the side of drives etc, ours disappeared by the end of Sunday!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/03/2018 18:09

lubey if you hear of any local reports of any sort of damage from that little cell can you pm me please.

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/03/2018 22:11

much as I love you all, I'm a bit sick of posting new warnings

OP posts:
SnowiestMountain · 07/03/2018 22:15

But we've just finally gone into the warning area OYBBK after weeks of disappointment! Don't desert us now!! Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 07/03/2018 22:22

don't worry, I'll keep posting :)

lubeybooby · 08/03/2018 08:09

Sigh. We have sideways snow and builder isn't coming today. Ho hum oh well at least it got started yesterday.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 08/03/2018 09:56

That's a poo Lubey. The snow should clear out by lunchtime.

It seems so odd as down where I am it feels fairly spring like.

A lot of rain coming up from the south tomorrow into Saturday.

Stokesley in North Yorkshire around 8:45am this morning (this is a main road)! Seems to have taken everyone by surprise and no sign of gritters/snow ploughs. 😩😩 go away snow, we're ready for spring!!

Spring-like gain now, haha - really am looking forward to actual spring now. I love winter and snow and frost but this will be my first spring in the new house so I am eager for all my flowers and things to get going

C'mon spring!

FoxBaseBeta · 08/03/2018 10:37

Leeds is gridlocked by snow!

GloriaSmud · 08/03/2018 11:05

lubey ~ I want to start planting as well. The allotments a-calling and I want to get going on it!

Had slight wintriness here this morning but it's now raining and a chilly 3.1C
