This was taken in the woods by my house at 7am. We've had quite a sunny morning but it's now grey and snowing again.

South Dorset here - no snow thank goodness but just seen we've been covered by an Amber warning for Thurs/Fri ! 😱

Just trying to recognise the woods!

We had 8 inches or thereabouts at the beginning of December (N Oxfordshire) so I won't be disappointed if we get nothing this time.

We've had flurries on and off this morning, it was more sleet/freezing rain. Thursday night looks to be our big chance ❄️

Spoke to soon had a heavy downfall that is on the ground

Bout 8 inches here so far. Chickens and horses fed. Dogs walked. Sheep checked. Now in bath thawing. All the animals loving the snow. It’s our third lot this winter.

Sorry, just saw the latest warnings. I'm under an amber now for thursday and friday. I'm a cruel and wicked person though as dd has exams all week.

Posted too early. The matrix grids are the things to keep an eye on. At the moment the probability isn't very high, but the likely impact should it occur is severe.

I am sulking in Hertfordshire - no snow.

Ooo so the metoffice have issued warnings about Thursday/Friday for the South/SW after all. It will be interesting to see how confident they get about it in the next day or so.

Fife coast, heavy snow now and a sky heavy with more. Going to get out for a walk in it.

Beautiful sunshine in Lancashire now, all the snow has mostly melted now.
We are due more though at the end of the week.

I'm revising my statement to the worst snow I've seen. No sun, sky loaded with snow and complete blizzard

No snow here in Leicestershire, few little flakes every so often but "proper" snow previously forecasted has now been pushed back to Friday ☹️ Have a feeling it might miss us! I want some snow!! 🙏🏻

I have proper snow now. Looking at the radar it won't last long though. There are a lot of snow showers generally across the U.K. though with a few areas being less lucky/unlucky.

Thursday Friday is absolutely on a knife edge. I'm attaching 3 pictures of 3 fax charts showing a near stationary warm front sitting off the edge of the southern coast as the low slides north and west filling as it goes.

My local doctors surgery has a staff shortage today because of the 'weather conditions'. They've cancelled appointments and asked to be contacted only in emergencies. That would be fine if WE HAD ACTUALLY HAD ANY SNOW. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THIS AREA! What appointments actual joke 😂
