Hanging off a rock in the inner hebrides and today we have gales and hail. Our poor lambs are huddled in corners, the grass won't grow, cows and sheep in misery and our poor piglets haven't even been outdoors yet!
Never mind that the heating is still on, we still need to light the fire most days as it feels so 'wintery'!
I know farmers are known for complaining about the weather but surely it must warm up sometime?

+4 again last night but lovely already this morning - sunny and feels warm already. Must be that cold wind has gone Smile.
I still went out fleeced up yesterday at 6pm. Sun burn?Confused

Heard it's to get much worse next weekAngry

JollyOrangeGiant · 26/05/2013 10:23

Snow here on Thursday. Sunburn and paddling pools yesterday. I'm so confused!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/05/2013 19:12

well it looks unsettled this week, esp Monday/tuesday but after that its not so bad really, typical spring weather.

EMUZ · 26/05/2013 19:17

Yep sunburn and strap marks Shock
To be fair, I'm virtually blue in skin tone Grin but I sat out today in a vest and shorts and it was lovely (lancs)

Lovely morning today, no clouds in the sky atm.

digerd · 27/05/2013 09:58

I just want to know if my heating can stay off now for at least 3 months? Hmm

I think it was 2001 when I didn't put it back on again until 10th DEC from 1st May. Other years were up to November, until these last few yearsConfused

digerd · 27/05/2013 11:45

Few white fluffy clouds just arrived. Tomorrow is supposed to be wet - hoping they were wrong. Just want it to be warm and not cold againHmm

+10 last night , no heating required Smile, but raining and only 11 out Confused. Waiting for it to stop as little dog needs her walkies.
If it doesn't stop, that means she has to wear her brand new red doggie 'onesie' Hmm, and I will take ages deciding what to wear myself.

All that faffing around just for 20 minutes Hmm

GloriaSmud · 28/05/2013 21:57

After several lovely warm days, it's been 'orribly wet today ~ DDs and I came out of Sainsburys this morning and it felt/looked like an Autumn day. We did reach the 'dizzy heights' of 13.3c at 3.38pm this afternoon.
Hopefully today has been the worst day weather~wise; after today the forecast is for it to get warmer, especially through the weekend and into next week.

Started raining late morning again, but was dry at first Confused
11 degrees out. Sad

11 degrees last night but only 18 indoors this morningConfused. Was supposed to be better today, but gardener phoned yesterday to say it will get better now on SaturdayHmm].
Grey and damp again today.

Feel sorry for the campers and those with LO on half-termSad

GloriaSmud · 30/05/2013 07:36

A 3rd miserable, wet day here (Leicester) and temp 10.5c. It's so chilly that my homemade wine that had been going well in our usually warm conservatory, has stopped fermenting. I've had to move it inside near the radiators (because the heating is back on and should have been off for the summer, 6 weeks ago! )

digerd ~ summer's due to start again this weekend, there's a nice splodge (highly technical weather term!) of high pressure building nicely and we might even hit the low 20s next week!

meglet · 30/05/2013 08:32

North Hampshire. Grey and damp.

From what I've seen it will start to perk up tomorrow. Call me old fashioned but it would be nice to be able to turn the heating off seeing as it's (almost) June.

digerd · 30/05/2013 15:24

Sky lightened up a bit, no rain, 14 degrees out and 18 in front room, 15 in the othersConfused. < no heating on>

digerd · 30/05/2013 15:31

Gloria

I shall believe it when it happens. No cold wind so does not feel freezing, but very damp air which feels oddly humid at these low temps.

Here's hoping for the 'splodge', then . Grin

S.Herts
Seems everyone else has emmigrated to warmer climes
11 degrees in the night again but 17 indoors - had to put the heating on again Angry

digerd · 31/05/2013 07:30

ps
Tomorrow is the 1st of June Sad

digerd · 31/05/2013 12:59

Well, well, well! The sun came out later this morning Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 31/05/2013 22:37

Am back :) mix of weather whilst away from gales and heavy rain to beautiful warm sunshine. Our pop up tent actually decided to repeatedly fold itself away on Tuesday night due to the wind. Poor dd had that end of the tent Grin

GloriaSmud · 01/06/2013 07:45

Naughty tent ~ perhaps it didn't like being out in the wind and wanted to pack itself away to go home!
