OYBBK please, please, please tell me it's not going to stay winter all year?!

Hanging off a rock in the inner hebrides and today we have gales and hail. Our poor lambs are huddled in corners, the grass won't grow, cows and sheep in misery and our poor piglets haven't even been outdoors yet!
Never mind that the heating is still on, we still need to light the fire most days as it feels so 'wintery'!
I know farmers are known for complaining about the weather but surely it must warm up sometime?

It was at the great height of 9 degrees minimum temp last night, but the damned heating still came on and stayed on - very low- until lunch-time.
It did feel milder today as I was in the garden weeding for 20 minutes without a jacket on. Definitely warmer than yesterday.

The weather is just mental, I work about 15 miles from home. On Thursday work was grey and miserable, home was sunny, Friday sunny at work, heavy rain and hail at home.

I love the OYBBK weather forecasts (even though it's all bad news), at least generally they're accurate about how bad it'll be!

Went out early this morning for dog walk as was very sunny, but has clouded more and withouth the sun my hands are cold .

Back to 6 degrees last night

All I ask for is a nice day in London this saturday, we need to get out of town and up to the big smoke for the day. [cabin fever]

Just saw /heard the weather forecast on TV and couldn't believe it.
First we did have 11 degrees minimum in the night, but to call it a "muggy" night ?
It is only 14 degrees atm and cloudy, but supposed to be sunny this afternoon and up to 20 degrees? and a very muggy night tonight. The same tomorrow and Wednesday.
Then a depression from the east will move here and bring colder weather and a much colder wind ? < scream tearing my hair out>

Right, well I've given up hoping and waiting. I just accept that we have one type of weather and it just comes in different combinations of wet, cold and grey

To hell with buying summer clothes. I'll now have winter/winter clothes and summer/winter clothes. They're pretty much the same in terms of being warm except that the summer/winter clothes are slightly more colourful.

WOW, the sky is getting lighter, perhaps it will be sunny this afternoon and warm.
Just hope the prediction for colder weather from Thurs is WRONG. Fed up with the cold wind we had and just a few days now without it and don't want it back.

Relevant info: garden is in south west Wales (nearly typed south wet Wales...), number of children to be increased if I can turf them out into the garden. Numbers to be fewer if the weather is awful. Cos I only have room for small hordes of kids.

OYBK Could I please seek some of your wisdom. My sister is getting married in Norfolk this weekend, it's a marquee wedding. My daughters are flower girls are they a) going to freeze b) be soaked c) be blown away?

Daisy, it looks pretty cool/cold I'm afraid with Norfolk being one of the last areas to remain under the cold feed that the high pressure is drawing in. Enough of a wind to increase the chill too. But, it does look dry at the moment :) nudge me for a reminder later in the week.

Well, +12 last night minimum, but been for dog walk and the wind is up < but making the air quality better> and is very fresh.
Grey skies here, and Newspaper forecast is for sunny periods everywhere except the SOUTH

But still on for Thurs getting colder

Still in thermal long johns and fleece trousers, after not wearing them for a few days when it was warmer. Heating again off recently and don't want to have to put it on again until October - not this Thursday !
