Furfrou furfed it up for me twice, this week. The distance is a bit weird on that phone. Audino, Stonjourner and then a random Hitmonchan did the trick!

Bother! I missed the start of the gigantamax battle "day" and I expect that everyone on my friend DS list has their one and done, now!

still ploughing on with level 73, 38 kilometres to go! We’ve had lots of illness and have not gotten out, or the weather is shit.
At least I am gathering XP for next level.

Same here, mostly down to crap weather. Only 4 max level ups to do, too.

Sorry I’ve been absent - I forget there’s just a general PoGo chat here! I hit lvl 76 and am working on the max battles now, just under halfway so hopefully will level up in the next week.

I have been so overwhelmed with all the gifts to open and send I’ve ended up skipping to too often, sorry!

Have you all remembered to do gimmighoul bags daily this week for your shiny chance? I will try to do gifts daily for the increased lucky chance.

Today was a good PoGo day. I finally levelled up to 77 and after shelling out for the deluxe ticket I obtained an unown Z. The last one I needed for my platinum medal 😃
Next is the long 400km road to level 78

Didn't know there was a PG thread! I played back in 2016/17, lost interest, picked it up again in 2024. There's a fair old group that gathers in my local city for raids and events and things, mix of ages. The hardcore group are mostly younger men. I meet up with them as that's the most efficient way to get raids done in a short space of time! Went out for some Kyogre and Groudon in my lunchbreak today.

Hi! Similar to me - but I restarted in 2023. We have a small local group too, although it’s a good mix of men and women. I seem to have accidentally fallen into the “leader” role and end up organising all the meet ups etc lol.

Who’s excited for this weekend? If anyone is in a small area that won’t have enough for the new super mega raids I can send remote invites if you want the Dex entry - or look for SweetnSassy37 “at a raid” around 10am and 2pm each day - those are the times we are meeting to take on the new ones!

Cheers, @Tillow4ever -I will be stalking you as I often do 😊. I've saved my last few remote passes for this. I've managed to play more than usual this week as DS2 is on half term so we've done lots of bus rides but he also restricts how I play - short manning legendary raids has been off the cards but we've caught lots of pikachus. So many pikachus. All with santa hats, apparently. He's a lot closer to his platinum showcase medal than at the start of the week.

Oooh fab! You are always welcome to join us. As an FYI, if you see me and a player called Linzwasere you’ll be safe - we can duo pretty much everything out so far (except GMax) - I know sometimes when you are on a remote you don’t know whether to risk a trio or not.

What is your in game name again? Obviously with the super megas, jump if there are less than 8 players with mega pokemon symbols by 15 seconds as we won’t be able to complete it. Make sure your mega pokemon is not up first!

Begins with ou...and I'll be jumping in with Loudred by my side, most likely. I shall make sure I have a mega ready for those shields.

Apparently you can't back out and heal your mega until all your pokemon have fainted but it doesn't matter what the charge move is to break the shield. I've powered up my mega gardevoir as far as I can for tomorrow.

Well I managed to catch you for dragonite, this morning, @Tillow4ever and one of our Welsh Contingent for victreebel at lunchtime. Both raids flashy flashy then over before you know it! I managed to get out for a solo walk while DS2 was out with his carer, this morning, hatched some eggs - I have hawlucha now but Loudred just keeps getting heracross and kanga. Soloed yveltal with a minute to spare without even tweaking the suggested team. Have also done a few honedge raids. No shinies.

The super mega raids seem quite rare. I checked the map, this morning, before I went out and there wasn't a single one in my small city.

Glad you got one! We had loads of super mega raids here, it’s been the standard mega raids we were struggling to find.

Busy, this morning, so hoping I haven't missed my chance for malamar.

@PickAChew did you manage to do a malamar raid? I did a couple remotely and then did a bit of shiny hunting. Sunday was less frenzied I felt. There was way to much to try and do on Saturday. I only played for about 3 hours on Sunday and only stayed locally too. But burned out after Saturday.

I did finally hatch a hawlucha for my platinum Kalos medal about 20mins before the event finished. No shiny though (I have one egg still to hatch and it’s bound to be another klefki. Still no shiny of that either. I did get about 20th shinies in all though.

What furfrou trim did everyone go for? I opted for pharaoh and ds for Reine. We have a few spares if anyone has any different regional trims to trade.

Loudred did, @gillybean2 but I didn't find a viable one to join that didn't give error messages when I tried to use my pass. Ended up using my leftover pass on another groudon, last night, so I finally have that primal, which is more useful than victreebel, anyhow.

10km away from levelling up to 74. It’s taken me forever. Roll on summer. I have gotten some XP for the next level (I’ve got 8 of the 11 million) which is something….

XP is my easy part of levelling up. I’m on 86m XP right now.

I’m slowly getting towards 73. I’ve got 38 more shadow pokemon to purify (tbh I could have done this by now but I haven’t been bothering with as many rocket raids as I should LOL), then I need 15 more raids (again haven’t been trying that hard LOL) and then just one more pokemon to level up to max level. I keep running out of stardust for this and I know it’ll take me longer than the other two to get which is why I’ve not gone too crazy on the others.
