Day 5 of routes done, did one outside my gym which added time on me being out but it’s done. 2 days to go and I’m nearly done with the other tasks.
Next level will take me forever.

Got my 7th route done today. Now just got stardust left and am about halfway with that

This event has really helped with the stardust. I should be able to level up by Tuesday, hopefully.

Im genuinely sorry for you. I made 3 before and had to miss a day because I was sick and I was gutted.

Oh no, that sucks! If this helps anyone, here’s a suggestion if you have a stop outside your house. Create a short route that’s basically a loop starting and ending at the stop closest to your house. Start the route as you get home or whenever - basically pottering about the house will usually get you the distance with drift etc. I do this daily so the next morning, I go outside and end the route.

I also verified, when I had my routes to do, that they don't care what speed you go, so I did my penultimate one on the bus!

Did everyone have a good weekend? I hit lucky friends with someone from this group I believe (LoudestLoudred or something similar to that)? Also got 13 hundos and 26 shinies across the 2 days. Think my favourite was my 93 shiny Grimmsnarl with a background - sweet!

This is true - you just have to be going slow enough to start and stop the route, and cover the distance.

I have a buddy for my trainer name, too. That was a chicken before the egg name. Unlike LoudestLoudred 😂

The thing is the route is literally between my house and the tram stop but yesterday and today I haven't been at work, and because I tend to get home after midnight I usually do that day's route at midnight, if that makes any sense? I do it walking home from the tram.

So I'm working Tuesday onwards so I guess I'll do it then... <shakes fist>

I found the stardust much more of a slog than the routes.

Unfortunately my nearest can't be a route start as it is sponsored, which is a bit of a daft rule seeing as I send you all gifts from it so would see it anyway. Although kids accounts can't see it in case they get addicted to coffee or something.

I'm on to the level 73 tasks now, haven't got enough xl candy to level up 3 'good' pokemon, so will either have to waste stardust getting a parasect up to full power, or be patient (not normally very good at that). I still have millions of xp to get before I have to make a final decision though, so might get some more candy in time!

Thanks for the add. I did a melmetal (had enough xl candy from using the mystery box a while ago I think), a 100% rayquaza (using some xl rare candy) and a 100% tyranitar. I have enough xp to get to level 80 but not enough platinum badges.

Not looking up to the levelling up requirement, that kind of thing takes me forever.

I just powered up 4* weedle, rattata, catterpie etc. whatever I had a surplus of candy for. But I’ve got well over 24 million stardust so that’s never a worry. Level 77 has another 7 to max power up so I may be a bit more picky then.

Currently I just need distance to level up to 74. 56km to go so should make that in the next week or so. Ds still has 150km to go though

I do all mine in the car as I can’t walk any distance. There’s 4 routes I know of on my way home from work but they’re a little bit of a detour to each and it adds about 45 mins to my commute if I do them.

I need to average 4 a day to get my platinum medal done this year. That’s not going to happen as I’m only back to work a couple of days a week so far.

Hoping to get a mobility scooter soon so at the weekends I will then be able to whizz round the walking ones near home 🛺💨

I tend to mark up useful pokemon to power up with a "pu" prefix then I can just search for them when I need to power something up either to battle with or for research. I prefer to use prefixes to tags so I can spot them when I do other searches and not inadvertently transfer, purify or trade something that I was planning to work on.

I very quickly found 3 with enough XL candy to power right up, yesterday, and a load more that were less than 50 short.
