Hi. I've just started playing Pokémon Go this week, so I don't really know what's going on. I've been playing ingress, which is another game by Niantic for years so I know where all the local pokestops and gyms are, and I have caught a few Pokémon but I'm really just doing stuff and stuff happens without me really understanding much 🤦

I've sent friend requests to quite a few people, I hope that's ok.

@ISaySteadyOn so sorry to hear that. I'm such a hypocrite about this stuff - tell DS not to walk around looking at his phone and then merrily ignore my own advice.

As long as you're okay, that's the main thing. Everything else can be replaced, even if it's an arse to fill in the paperwork. I have a similar DH to yours - he seems to actually enjoy filling in my tax return, so I just leave him to it!

I’ve only just discovered this thread. My kids wanted to play, and I’m now addicted and they now roll their eyes when I want to hunt/ raid.

Shinies I’m hoping for : Hitmontop, karrablast, shelmet, munna, combee, foongus.

Tip for today: Im setting a reminder to put a star piece on at 12 as combee and foongus have extra stardust when caught.

@ISaySteadyOn I'm going to open your gift at 10am today for the start of the event. If you put a lucky egg on at 10am, you'll get 20,000 XP when I open the gift (instead of 10,000 if you don't have an egg on).

Eggs last for 30 mins so 9.50 is fine. Although if you have a ticket for the event, you'll get triple XP for spinning stops from 10am so it might be worth holding off until 10. I'll wait a few mins after 10 before opening, to give you a chance to activate the egg.

When we hit ultra and then best friends, you'll get 100,000 and then 200,000 XP if you have an egg on, so I'll make sure to arrange it with you beforehand.

That's a shame, SlakingOff! I felt the same way at first - all the notifications were overwhelming but you can turn them off.

Is everyone buying the ticket? I'm in two minds about it!

finally got pheromosa after a billion failed attempts at remote raiding on pokegenie. Don’t know if it’s glitching but had 9 hosts leave and not give out invites.

How strange. Got mine on first attempt

Dead easy to catch once I got into a raid.

Success so far. Catching everything I need. Got a shiny sudowoodo, shiny unown, and a shiny pikachu so far
