Hi all, I've just started playing again - DS played on my account before so not a complete new starter, but still a long way to go to catch up with you all!

My theory was that playing would give me a reason to go out for a walk at lunchtime. And then I discovered there are two Pokestops that I can reach from my house...

Anyway, have added a few of the people that shared codes, so if you get a request with a name ending in 90, that's why - hope that's okay. Not quite sure what to do with friends yet, but I'll work it out!

😂 I have just got to level 37 and I am waiting for them to roll it out to me and then I am totally whacking a Pokestop outside my house!

Right. Well, DS is a better fighter than me so he got to Giovanni's third Pokémon.

If it helps with Giovanni, his first is always Persian and his last is always Latios.

It’s the second one that changes.

I took him down the first time with a dragonite, palkia and mewtwo.

Second time was with a slaking, melmetal and mewtwo

That's really useful. It helps a lot!

With friends you can send and receive gifts (balls, potions to restore health etc ) and as you increase your friendship you get lots of xp so it really helps you level up. I've just accepted your add and's sent a gift

It's nice cos you know you're not the only woman who plays. I have two Pokestops by me too. But I get myself walking by hatching eggs 🙂

It's a big game of rock paper scissors and in this particular case, fire melts steel. (it also burns bugs and grass...)

I find GBL a chore, BTW. Never got past level 7 in it without getting thoroughly fed up.

It is a chore yes, but once you hit level 20, you get some decent prizes. Such as stones, raid passes, incubators and legendary Pokémon

It was started by people on this thread as an easier way to organise raids and help each other with levelling up, etc.

No, he was on a bicycle. So I have spent today dealing with all the bureaucracy around stolen phones. Blocking, replacing, reporting to police etc. And I hate filling in forms. I also suck at it. DH, however, does not so he helped.

But we had an old backup phone much to DS' relief. He beat Giovanni and we now have a shadow Latios which I caught. Teamwork!
And I found DD's phone that she lost a week ago so there's that.
