New island name is Cherry Pie. I'll open my gates from 20:30 tomorrow.

I'm currently visiting a southern hemisphere island and its so exciting, lots of new bugs and fish to catch

I tried a few of tonight's dodo codes but didn't manage to go anywhere which was a shame. I had shooting stars tonight though no sign of Celeste. I think I counted around thirty so lots of picking up to do tomorrow!

Hi all! I can't believe I only just discovered this thread 6 pages in! I've been playing since July but am still learning new things and finding the game better than therapy. I have lots of saved resources if anyone needs anything. I started out trying to have an all cat island but got seduced by other creatures 😹 So I have 5 cats, an aardvark, a chicken, a deer, a monkey and a mouse. I love them all but really want a penguin!

I saw an octopus or squid at an island yesterday, he looked so strange I didn't know what he was at first. Also slightly gutted I sold my turnips earlier yesterday evening because the australian island was buying them for 469 bells! But at least now I have a whole lot of new bugs, fish and sea creatures for blathers.

I tried @EntropyBanana ' s wrapped fossil gift suggestion yesterday and one of my long standing villagers finally gave me their picture

Don't know if anyone is on right now but I have various DIYs available and can get a Dodo code if anyone would like to come and have a look at them.

@Magissa yes totally new island. My island is now called Cherry Pie. I dropped off a few of my fav things at dd1's island, had to do 4 trips this morning to pick it all up!.

Can secondary players access any DIY recipes or build anything?

I've not played for ages I'll need to look out my charger and have a go tonight

@Paddingtonthebear secondary players can do DIY, place objects and dig stuff up
They can't place or move buildings or infrastructure

How do they get DIY recipes?

find the villager who is crafting and talk to them
shoot balloons
find the message in a bottle on the beach
