I got this for Christmas and I’m in love. Is there a thread/community etc I could join?

I’m usually an AIBU inhabitant so this is a bit new...

My husband gifted me this, plus a switch, earlier this year, and while my island isn’t very advanced, I do have all the fruit trees, so if anyone wants to visit my island and steal my fruit to plant on theirs let me know!

Isn’t it fun?

I’m doing ok since I discovered a few you tubers who do a guide for starting out.

Try a few and see if they help.

I spend ages in the evening fishing..

Today I learnt to swim and paid off the wood foe the shop. I dont have enough iron yet though.

Its so absorbing and calming...

Argh. I have an animal moving out. And today is the one day Isabelle and Nook decide to shut up shop. No Nook Miles tickets so I can't go hunting for a replacement. It's in the lap of the animal gods.

Paid off my first mortgage!

And the museum is being built. I made the mistake of selling creatures instead of donating them first.

Visited another island with my Nook Miles and now have apple trees too.

Need to work out if we have an online subscription.

Annoyingly, I have to share the Switch with DDs Grin

I've been playing on and off since March. Looking for friends who play in the evening so we can message each other on here and visit islands to help each other out.

I miss the New Leaf island so much. Catching beetles and sharks late at night to make bells. I'm finding it much harder to make bells this time round.

I have Pears, coconuts and oranges on my island!

I've attempted terraforming but feel very overwhelmed by the planning required 😂

I've been playing since the middle of last year and have found it lovely and relaxing. The big niggle for me is that I've got all the fruits except oranges - if anyone's got oranges and would be happy for me to come over and pick a couple to plant, send me a dodo code and I'll happily bring over whatever you're short of.

I started playing in June, but in July/August bought my own switch as was sick of sharing with a destructive child who liked laying roads and digging holes.

I have all the fruit. Happy to share crops.

So.... now that I'm more addicted than my kid - she's the primary resident, so Im currently getting resources for her for the shop.

Im a bit worried if she doesn't progress I wont be able to...
