When you achieve the top layer of friendship with your villagers, they will present you with their photograph to hang on your wall. How to get there? Talking to them and doing them favours like delivering their gifts to other villagers will help, but the thing I've found to work again and again is a daily gift of a wrapped fossil. Buy the wrapping paper from the Cranny and use it to wrap any assessed fossils you don't want to donate to Blathers. Make the fossil gift part of your daily routine and eventually they'll reward you with their photo and you'll have that little glow inside

If you don't have the option to give them a gift yet, you'll need to talk to them for a couple of days first.

Re money trees - I had seen the suggestion that if Isabelle says in her morning message that her horoscope says she will have good luck you can plant 99000 bells and get 3 times that back.
We tried it a few days ago and it worked!

I haven't got top friendship with anyone yet but one of my first villagers let me change his catchphrase and I am getting much amusement from him calling him everyone 'fool' now

I thought it funny to get my horse saying "clip clop" but then others picked it up and it makes no sense.

Ooo I want all of mine to start saying fool.

One of mine has given me the nickname 'motor'
