I just caved and ordered myself a new Switch Lite with ACNH should have it Monday.....I couldn't go on with DS being the main player and having all the control!! There goes my treadmill fund! Ah well! Is it ok if i add some of Ye here when I get it set up?

Ok so I’ve done the shop upgrade, says it will be built tomorrow. I have orange, peach, coconut and bamboo trees. Seem to have fished and caught everything new around my island for the museum. I don’t know what I’m meant to do now? Tom Nook just says thanks for my help with the shop every time I ask him what I should do!

Any ideas? I made the mistake of setting it up under my profile instead of DHs and he is the one with online access think I’m going to have to pay the £17 so I have it too!

What’s all this turnip talk? Can I do turnips without online? And how do I get up the cliffs on my island?? And why is this game so addictive even though I have no idea what I’m doing haha.

Had shooting stars yesterday so that was nice and spent today picking up all the bits.

Once your shop is up and running Tom Nook will give you a new task. I think it is to build a campsite or housing for villagers.
The turnip person comes on Sunday morning I think. Not there all day so get in quickly!
You need to build a ladder to access the cliffs. You buy the recipe for it in the shop I think it's called basic tools or something...
Happy to help out with bits and pieces if you need anything. I will be on in the morning

@CamdenLurker Sorry just caught up on messages. I didn't have my gate open but will do so in the morning. If we are friends you should see my island as open when you go to the airport. It is called Bellaporto.

I downloaded the ACNH.Guide and it’s really good! The only problem I’m finding is that I can’t add any more villagers? Is this right? I’ve tried everything but I can’t for the life of me add another one!

Re online access: you need to upgrade DH's online Nintendo account to a family pass, you can then add yourself.

On the Home screen there's a search box right at the top. Search for your villager's name and click on the result. Now you can see their card and you tap on the house icon on the bottom of the card to show they are a villager. They should now appear in your villagers list.

Fully grown ones are fine but if they themselves have been bred they may not have the same 'code' even if they look like the same colour.

I don't update everything, only really critters so that I can see what's left to catch. I have also found it useful to look up how much things will sell for in the Cranny.

With the critters, I found the "catchable now" feature really useful. It also tells you when things are out and about, and in the case of fish, where they will be eg sea, river mouth, river, cliff, pond. It gives a guide to their size too.

I've not catalogued things like reactions or recipes because life is definitely too short.
