I got this for Christmas and I’m in love. Is there a thread/community etc I could join?

I’m usually an AIBU inhabitant so this is a bit new...

Was lovely to see you Magissa, luckily to see the shooting stars. I haven't been on much as I've got alot going on at home. Hopefully things have calmed down now so I will be on more.

One thing I find frustrating is trying to chat! I use nook link on my phone but in looking at screen kept missing what you were saying! It was good to see the shooting stars. I have had Celeste on my island but never managed to catch the star before so tonight was good.
Hope things quieten down for you. Hope to see you on my island soon!

I was loving Animal Crossing, but recently it's become a little bit boring, I have no friends to visit and I'm just fishing and trying to fill the museum. But I'm just catching the same fish and bugs over and over!

I really need to find out how to get the singer to my island too!

Visit the residents office and talk to them there. Is it Annabel?
Ask her about island evaluations.
She will tell you your island rating - it needs to be 3 stars and then KK Slider will come.
If under 3 stars she tells you want visitors have said - address those.

For me I needed to plant more flowers and make them bloom - basically water them all so that they has little sparkly water drops above them. I also needed to put all my gathered stones, iron, wood, etc into my house storage.

Things that help with a higher rating:

Have -

Flowers as said above
Placed items (lots!)
Items you craft to place outside - ‘worth’ more towards the rating than bought items
Paths
Bridges and inclines
Some trees

Don’t have -

Dropped items like DIYs and fruit
Too many weeds
Too many trees

The switch and game actually belong to Dd who desperately wanted it, played it twice and hasn't looked at it since, so it's her island and I have a separate account, which means I can only do basic stuff and have to switch between accounts, which is kind of annoying!

@CamdenLurker I just came on to ask that same thing you mentioned... I'm using my DS switch so he's the main player and I can't do stuff that he can.. Seems limited for my player. Do I have to buy my own switch now so I can be the main player?!! I managed to craft an axe in DS player but I can't use that in my player then can I?!

So what I've been doing is dropping stuff outside my house so I can pick it up as DD's character - a bit of a faff but I don't know what else to do.

I waited for ages to progress because dd needed to help build Nooks cranny, until I went onto her account and did it that way.

I'm so glad I didn't let DD be the main player, would drive me crazy having to wait for her to progress!

Been organising my house today now I got another room, why does the fridge work like a wardrobe though?!

DP bought me a switch and AC for Christmas and I’m absolutely LOVING it. I’ve recently re started as I got a little carried away with the cliff demolishing on my original island!

I don’t have as yet a lot to offer and the Nook cranny is opening tomorrow along with the museum. I have peach trees as my island fruit and coconut trees too. Although I went picking for fruit this morning so there’s currently none atm!

I generally play in the evenings and am happy for people to come and visit, although it’s not that much to see! Is everyone ok if I add friend codes? Will post mine once my switch is fully charged!
