Hey, new to this! My 7yo dd got this for Christmas. For the last 3 weeks I have watched her waste her bells on clothes and other pointless stuff, and have now stepped in to help as her island is still super basic. I also may be slightly addicted and I’ve only started properly playing since yesterday! We managed to land bamboo island which I understand from many a night feed google session, is quite rare? We dug up the bamboo shoots, I went to sort baby and came back to her having eaten the shoots, so you can see what I’m up against here anyway, we are new and a bit rubbish but we (I, she’s in bed!) would love to visit some islands if anyone is opening tonight? Our native fruit is Oranges which we can bring if anyone needs, but we don’t really have a lot more of much value to offer yet!

I’ve shamefully joined loads of Facebook groups where people host island giveaways and give their Dodo codes away for fishing and diving etc. Can’t wait to see her face tomorrow when she sees I’ve got her a hamster cage and a pair of tortoise shell glasses

@toppocket I've not caught one yet - they are more common after 11pm apparently. Top tip is don't wander around holding the net. If they spot the net they will attack you.

@DemolitionBarbie to trade items you need to visit the other person and then drop the items - they then pick them up
For flowers - if you visit other islands you can buy different flower seeds in the Nooks cranny shop

So friends, my children all have their own switches and two have the game too. We don't seem to be able to be friends. Is it because they are all on the Nintendo family plan? Any idea?
