Shiny new thread.

Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

@WitchSharkadder well done on your 59 excellents! That’s seriously impressive. What do you get for completing the research?

Haha, it was 50 (typo earlier) but I'm very proud. I've been doing victory dances in front of my very jealous DCs all day 8:30 is fine with me, send a gift whenever is convenient or I can send one.

Wait, SoulofanAggron, can we invite people to raids now? I would love to do a 5 star raid if people are up for it - I need to win a legendary Pokémon for one of my tasks...

Count me in I didn’t manage to catch it earlier. I will join the raid “flojo”

@SoulofanAggron flojo here, yes weedles might be a good idea, I have no legendaries 😭 don’t mind a proper scrap either!

I like seeing gyms with a theme. All evvee evolutions or all pink, something like that and then there's always someone who didn't realise and they'll put a big snorlax in

Is there anyway of getting a legendary when you have no one to play with?!

All my legendary ones are from the weekly boxes I just do easy raids although if they're going to let us invite friends we can coordinate near here.

There's not always a theme but if I'm the second one in I try to match now and a couple of gyms near me are always taken over by two friends and they match up too.

It's the ones where you do the challenge every day then you get a stamp and open the box at the end and there's a pokemon in there it was trapinch for a few weeks and it changes every month. I've got the bird ones and the ones that look like dogs and a few others. I don't even know what it is about them that makes them legendary to be honest.

The daily challenges are easy enough at the moment but you can save clicking on one til the next day when you complete it say if you get two the same or do two in one day you can make one stamp count for the next day. I delete the hard ones and do the ones I can do at home most of the time and I only do the easy raids.

@OntheWaves40 - thanks, I got really over excited then, thinking we'd all be able to catch a legendary. The weekly box is what you get from professor willow every time you complete seven stamps for the Field Research. I had one this week but it's an Aerodactyl which is not a legendary Pokémon so I am saving it as apparently you need to catch one later on for a task...

Did anyone else just get the message from Professor Willow about special incense? Sounds good.

I’m always up for a battle but I’m afraid the app is crashing a lot for me at the moment.

Does anyone know if I’ll lose any progress in the game if I try deleting the app and reinstalling it? I am scared to try in case I lose stuff.

I have lots of TM’s which ones should I use on what?

@ignatiusjreilly - you won't lose any progress, DH'S phone has played up a couple of times and refused to install updates. I've deleted the app and reinstalled and it is all still there.

Theyre having an hour of double points for evolving on Tuesday I think @bellabelly so if you have any common ones to evolve it's a good time to put a lucky egg on. I save them as favourites then do them one after the other. It's 500xp normally so if you put an egg on then it's 2000.

@ignatiusjreilly I started playing when DD was a baby in 2016 and got through so many phones. It's fine as long as you know your login.

This is a really good website for information on individual Pokémon and their moves so you know which ones to TM and to what.
