Shiny new thread.

Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

@WitchSharkadder are you up for coordinegging now? I am bored!

I just battled cliff who came to my house in a hot air balloon!!!

I could see the circle shadow first couldn't figure it out til I changed the view

Yay, glad you've all seen it. Zoom out, click on the balloon and battle away. I just ebat Giovanni in bed. Took some doing though.
He had Persian, steelix, entei. I used aggron, flareon, rhyperior (with surf). Got a shadow entei.
I haven't been playing much, lockdown blues but am looking forward to go fest.

No email and no hot air balloons. What am I doing wrong or not doing?!

Just logged in to the game and immediately saw the hot air balloon when I zoomed out. It was only a grunt, not a Team Leader - probably just as well after a few vinos!
@OntheWaves40 - I must have signed up for email updates when I set up my account. It was to my gmail account (which I never use!) as that's linked to my PoGo account.

I only got a grunt too.

Got the emails and got some revives and pinaps.

Is there a promo code for the 2 day event anywhere?

Forgot to say - today has been a good day for shinies here - I caught a shiny Skaramory and Mr Mime in the wild and hatched a shiny Grimer! Still hoping for a shny balloon Pikachu....

I have a challenge to evolve a dratini but only way I’m going to do that is by walking it, if I swap my buddy out will I lose buddy progress?

If it's the challenge I had, the other two challenges that go with it give you 60 Dratini candy.

I had Cliff again this morning. I need some grunts as I'm still on that challenge too.

You don't lose progress switching buddies. I'm switching buddies multiple times per day and have my gyrados on 0.9 km ready for an earn candy challenge.

For the first time in 4 years I have ran out of balls, but I did my 59 excellent throws!

However, I opening all my gifts to try and recoup some meant I accidentally triggered best friends with Petal. If you see this I hope you can get an egg on when you next open the PoGo. I'm sorry I don't even know your MN name to tag you.

Wow, @WitchSharkadder - high five indeed! I have got 15 so far... Don't think I am going to make it. I also need to throw three excellent curveballs... Not even made one so far!

I enjoyed the remote raids with 'FloJo' if she's on here, sorry if I missed some, and also missed one from 'Daisy.' I was working through dealing with my gifts at the time.

FloJo and all:- If we do a battle would you like me to put weedles and stuff in so we do it faster and you get any rewards or complete any challenges faster?

The prizes don't seem any better or worse whether you win or lose.
