Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

That's 3 more than me, @HighBrows! I saw a video on the Facebook group that someone on here linked to upthread. The idea was to deliberately get your buddy to catch assist by throwing the ball when the Pokémon attacks. You have to set the catching circle to small first. I might give it a go as two of my five excellent throws were catch assist ones.

Hi, can I join in. Played a lot when it first came out and got back into Pokemon Go during lockdown as a way of encouraging the kids to walk 😄
I’m stuck on the Elite challenge too, currently have 13. Only seem to be able to regularly get excellent throws on magmars but am lucky I found a localish nest so will head down there later.
My main problem is the lack of sinnoh stones I’m getting. Lined up loads to evolve but have no stones whereas rest of family have loads of stones stockpiled.

@CasparBloomberg I find I get most of my Sinnoh stones from the league battles.

@HighBrows so do my family. I only ever seem to get Charge Tm. Have 11 of them still and that’s after using up loads to empty my bag!
It’s like I’m being trolled by the game 😂😂

OH admitted yesterday he lies to me know when he gets stones when we battle as I only get rare candy or star dust and he knows it will annoy me 😭😭😭

It's a shame that the game doesn't let you trade items. I have had a couple of sinnoh stones recently from the battle leagues, keep trying. I have been trying to force catch assist but it's not working so far. Just wasting lots of balls. I had a fun half an hour evolving lots of things. I'm a bit closer now to finally getting my gold Johto medal which is taking ages...

I had been thinking that it would be nice if we had the option of adding things to gifts instead of the stickers that don't do anything. I've deleted hundreds of potions and although I've used up a couple of hundred balls trying to get excellent throws I've still got about 600

I just spent 18 mins watching a YouTube video on Buddy's... I just wanted to know what's the best buddy for catch assist. Instead I got pulled down a rabbit hole....

I love that idea @HappyPunky, also remote trading would be great too.

@highbrows remote trading would be amazing! Even if they limited it to best friends or increased the distance for best friends or something to make it easier to trade.

Correction I've got 800 balls!!! I'm not opening gifts at the moment trying to run them down but get loads from pokestops on our walks and buddies bring them then loads more every Monday. I'd happily offload them to people just can't bring myself to delete them.

I'm on 7 excellent throws. Just got 2 in a row and almost fell off the sofa

That would be lovely to be able to gift things you had, you knew a friend wanted. DD never has enough revives.

@CasparBloomberg what are your codes? While we've been locked down I've had loads of gifts to send.

Just back from my magmar-fest; now have 26 of the 50 excellent catches. Seriously finding it so much easier on magmar than anything else. Managing about 40% success rate of it being excellent.

Is there a limit on how many you can open? Didn't know that, obviously don't have that many friends so its only been limited by having space in my bag.

I might have to find some Magmars... it took me 3 days to do one excellent throw! No hope of getting to 50.

You're welcome @ignatiusjreilly! It's fun! I'd have happily battled for longer but wasn't sure if you'd just clicked on Battle by accident. I am always up for a battle if I'm logged in and not busy with boring real life stuff.

Is anyone else’s game constantly crashing today? I want to join our raid group remotely but darent as the games crashing all the time.

I got a couple more excellent throws, both on Mr Mime. Seems to be lucky for me.
