Shiny new thread.

Our local group had our first socially distant raid t'other day, there were 11 in the lobby and only 3 of us were physically at the gym. The bantz on the message group afterwards was funny though after I introduced them to a new word.

That's the negative side of lockdown, many players are too worried to get within 10m of another. There are some friends I haven't seen in months, and just a few I have seen to have a socially distant chat. Still, mustn't grumble.

The Snubbull thing just went on and on and on and on....

No shiny snubbulls for me. I did get a hundo tho.

I got one shiny after endless catching of normal ones, need to google shiny Granbul before I decide whether to evolve him or not.

I’m only level 39 which is why I thought it odd to be asked to do the reviews, I thought you had to be level 40 to do anything with pokestops.

Shiny granbull is nothing special. Keep him as a snubull!

I'm stuck on Special Research The Shadowy Threat Grows. I've to beat each of the GoRocket guys. I managed to beat Sierra after about 6 goes. I'd googled advice which kind of worked but its soooo complicated. If they use X then A pokemon is a good counter but only with moves L and M. If they have a Y pokemon you'll need a B pokemon with these different moves N and O.

I get utterly destroyed by Cliff. And simple suggestions? 🤔

I have a question. Yesterday I set up a second account. Currently on lvl 9. I've walked today with my phone on, pokemon go opened up. None of the egg distance moved at all. Do incubators not work at lvl 9?

Also my navigation bar has disappeared at the bottom of the screen and when I want to exit pokemon I have to swipe upwards 3x and it does not always work. Total pita. Anyone know how I can pin it back?

Tiny I normally see what three mon are presented then google beat cliff and name the mon then take it from there. Some combinations are trickier than others. It's worth re preparing and seeing what they might present you with and find the counters and power them up, give them a good moveset etc.

One poster (sorry, I forget who) said you can beat all three ticket leaders with a team of Hydro Cannon swampert. Just make sure they're powered up.
Rockets in general - just use tanky Pokémon if you're not sure which counters or movesets to pick. Dialga is a good bet. As are machamps. Again, power them up.

@JacobReesMogadishu sounds like a software glitch. Reload/ restart your phone.

@BaronessBomburst. thank, Ive tried that and no luck. It works for my main account, just not for my second account. google suggests it’s a regular Issue for new accounts. I’ve ordered a second phone so I can play both accounts at once as it’s a pita logging in and out. . And once my new account gets levelled up I can raid with both at the same time then! So will see if it’s the same on the new phone. I’ve tweeted niantic support as well.

Good news is my main navigation bar has come back on the bottom of the screen.

There's loads of glitches at the moment.
All my research disappeared this morning, for both accounts, but reappeared this afternoon. My buddy often doesn't load properly so I can't play or take photos, and the friend list/ gift sensing is currently a right palaver!

I just beat cliff using the folkowing:
He always starts with a pinsir so you want a fire type to burn it.
I then used a rhyperior and a machamp. All fully powered up. Are you using poke genie? (sorry if teaching to suck eggs!)

Got a 96% Ho Oh, only 250, 000 stardust and 268 candy needed to power it up. 😁

I got one shiny snubbull yesterday, not had a shiny since Abra community day otherwise. Oldest son is now playing and needs 3 friends for a research, if anyone would like to add him? His code is 5802 4199 2114

I’ve just finished the Johto challenge and am
pleased to report that I did get a shiny for my final reward despite starting the tasks way before 1pm on Friday

I'm just waiting on an ice type to complete part 7. Have loads of Swinub earlier but nothing since.

I'm liking the challenges, gives me something to do but I found the Snubbull yesterday was monotonous.... was sick and tired looking at them. I did get 3 shiny ones. I wish we could remote trade.

The looming in the shadows challenge I'm stuck on part 4, I have to beat Arlo, haven't seen him in weeks. Going to power up a Swampert just in case.

Fiddlersgreen i have just finished and got a shiny too and i started at 8:30 in the morning!

Thanks for all the advice on beating GoRocket. I have a very tanky fully powered Tyranitar who is my fave pokemon EVER 😍😍😍 so I use her if in any doubt.

Not sure if it's been mentioned up thread but what is it with the friends list!!! Really buggy. I usually open a gift then gift back then scroll through list. Now it keeps blipping back to the top so you have to scroll down each time, driving me crazy!!!!
